Just watched it. That's a good fucking movie. Surprisingly good actually.

Now I have two choices to watch on my day off. I could watch Devil's Backbone which I've been meaning to watch for a long time now. I really love The Orphanage and Pans Labyrinth, and I'm a fan of Del Toros's work overall.

Or I should watch The Cove. It was one that was up for best documentary at the Oscars, it may have even won I can't recall. Anyone seen these two, if so are they worth the watch?

Devil's Backbone is a decent film; I'd give it a 3/5. Haven't seen The Cove.

The Devil's Backbone is similar to Pan's Labyrinth in that it's a sentimental coming-of-age story. I would rate it better than Blade 2 and the Hellboy films, but I think Cronos and Mimic slightly edge it out. However, it's important to note here that Cronos and Mimic get higher ratings from me because of how much edgier and terrifying they are.

I get what you're saying. I haven't seen Cronos or Mimic in years. I'd rate Cronos slightly higher than Mimic on his list of greats only because of the writing and producing attachments he had on Cronos. Then again, I would rate The Orphanage higher than both and he didn't direct or write. I'm also extremely excited about Splice.
