Potential ECW Champions from Raw/Smackdown

I think the obvious choice is Kennedy. MISTER Kennedy. Kennedy. Providing he ever stops getting those injuries, he could crush anything in his way and become the new definition of what a face champion should be. He shouldn't be drafted to ECW though - SmackDown is his home. If you ask me, he has inherited "The Rock's Show."

I know I'm the only guy in the world who will say this, but I'd like to see Bob Holly let out of the doghouse and be given a last chance at the ECW Championship. He was on fire back when he returned in 2006, and even managed to pull a couple of decent matches out of that dead weight by the name of Bobby Lashley. Drafting Holly from ECW was a mistake, and even though he had a long World Tag Team Championship reign, letting him go back to ECW after his April injury in 2007 would have been great, as he could feud with CM Punk (didn't Holly end his undefeated streak?) for the ECW Championship. CM Punk would become distraught with his losses, turn heel and actually regain his lost credibility. Holly would go through the classic face build (read: losing) and regain the overness he had when...he was the most over. Would have helped both men get over, and avoid the mess we got with CM Punk today. But that's just me. The lonely Hardcore Holly mark. Hear me roar.

But was that purely because they still had Extremem Rules matches back then? I can remember some decent Test and Mike Knox matches in ECW under extreme rules.

The problem with that is, is Holly is terrible on the mic, and creative wouldn't want to push him because of that. If you look at the last year where he was a tag champ, did Holly say anything on the mic except for his original segments where he was teaching Rhodes tough love before they joined? Then in the fued with Carlito and Santino, it was Rhodes doing all the talking, and when ther was siddention between the two wasn't that always in the ring instead of in a segment or on the mic? Then with the Dibiase thing he didn't ever talk, and he hasn't been seen since getting screwed out of the tag titles.

Why on earth would they give a 'World title' to someone that they think the crowd wouldn't get behind? You said it yourself, you are a lonely Holly mark.

Well, yeah, it's true. Holly is pretty bad on the mic. The Fully Loaded '99 "Big Shot" promo is a classic, but there's absolutely no passion there. But you don't have to be a great mic man to be champion, as has been proven so many times over the years. WWE Creative completely dropped the ball when Holly & Rhodes were tag champs though. They could have easily booked Rhodes to be the mouthpiece and Holly to be the muscle. But they booked them both to look like transitional champions, and it didn't really lead to anything good for Holly or Rhodes.

And I realize that Holly isn't ever gonna get an ECW or world title run - he's not over, nor do I believe he's ever gonna get over much, even IF he's allowed one final run - he's not particularly good on the mic, and pretty much everyone who is a member of the IWC hates him. But dare to dream, kid. And the ECW Championship stopped being a "world" title a long time ago...it's pretty much a midcard title. If they booked it right and Holly did what he does best, they could easily make him a better ECW Champion than most of the people who have held it since its re-inception. The potential has always been there - but neither Holly himself or WWE Creative have ever tapped into the full potential.

Holly actually was semi-over in ECW. Fans actually cared about him somewhat. But yeah he wouldn't make a good champion. I would choose Jamie Noble as the ECW champion. I am high on Noble because he is a very talented wrestler, good on the mic, and has the charisma a champ should have. I feel Noble is only kept as a comedy character because of his size. I think with creative behind him, they could make Noble a legit champion and not a comedy jobber. Noble is too talented to be wasted, IMO.

2 Jeff Hardy What Ecw Is All About High Flying Great Ring Work.

3 Big Show Instead Of Dumb Ass Monster Heel Matches Move Him Where He Can Carry A Brand And Make It Crediable Again

4 Umaga Great Choice With Ring Work And Brutality He Poseceses Real Ecw Champ Right Here

5 How About Y2j He Will Not Get A Shot On Raw Once Orton Returns And Mabye Even Edge Going Back To Raw

1- Kennedy is possible but not in the near future. Right now he needs to worry about getting back in the ring. I see him contending right away for the US title and maybe tag-teaming with Hardy. Kennedy and Hardy vs Shelton and MVP.

2- Hardy I could see maybe a Hardy vs Hardy for the title but not now. Hes feuding with MVP and Shelton Benjamin.

3- Big Show was regularly on ECW just about 3 months ago around Last Stand. I see him going after Triple H right now

4- Umaga is hurt and out for awhile. He should go after Triple H or whoever when he is back.

5- There is no way in hell Y2J goes to ECW. Raw or Smackdown is where he will stay or go to. ECW is kind of like Triple A for the WWE. Y2J is far to popular and is to big of a star to go to ECW. Thats an insult to him to be there. NO WAY IN HELL.

When Orton returns the feud between him and HBK could be over or it could still be going on. If he isnt feuding with HBK he could eventually feud with JBL or CM Punk. He could even feud with Kofi Kingston which is unlikely but possible. Why couldn't Ken Kennedy feud for the US title. He isnt wrestling yet, so when he comes back I don't just see him right away wrestling for the ECW title he'll likely feud or fight then possibly make a move. The point is we don't know the facts were predicting them. There isn't any facts.

I don't like Mysterio I really really think the guy is overated. The number of moves he botches, his poor mic skills, his declining in-ring ability and movement. He's obviously a fan favourite but his style doesn't suit ECW nor does his injury proness put him in line for a title oppotunity. Besides he is a lousy champion- rememebr him as World Heavyweight champion? didn't think so.

I think Evan Bourne can step in and become what Rey Mysterio was a wold calibur athlete. Rey is expendable at his age and his injuries are a major problem. All in all Evan Bourne would be better suited as WWE's resident high-flyer. As far as who I would bring over from Raw/SD. I'd bring someone who could have great feuds with ECW's talent like Matt Hardy,Morrison,Miz. Mark Henry can't do this too much of a clash of style. I'd bring over Jimmy Wang Yang. I wouldn't have him win the title right away. But I'd include him into the mix.

I would say let some underutilized guys get a shot at the ECW title. Henry is stale with it, so give it to Hardy and then let him feud with Morrison, Miz, etc.
But how about D-Lo Brown, Koslov, or someone like that? They just seem to be stuck in limbo and a good feud for a decent title would get them more over I think. I think Kofi would have been a good choice, but this guy is even better than I thought and great in the IC title picture. Burke could easily be put back in the ECW title picture along with the rest of these guys to make for a really solid division over there.

Seeing RAW already has quite a few big names i could see a feud CM Punk v Orton loser leaves the brand where Orton loses and leaves for ECW and then forming a partnership with some of the Superstar initiative also bringing the bad ass back into ECW
