Lower Mid-card
Faces
Evan Bourne
Heels
Jack Swagger
Say what?! Jack Swagger a lower mid-card heel? I disagree. Jack Swagger put on one hell of a match earlier this year against top face John Cena in a losing effort, but proved in that match he belongs in (at least) the upper mid-card.
The way I see it, the highlights of this "trade" are:
William Regal to ECW: As RAW GM, he was able to generate heat easily. King of the Ring 2008 and was on his way up until he got himself suspended. A fresh start in ECW could be just what King Regal needs. A reign as ECW Champion could be great for Regal.
The Hart Dynasty to SmackDown!: WWE's hottest new tag team/stable, The Hart Dynasty now has a chance to get some ring time with some of WWE's established tag teams...(maybe that shouldn't be plural...lets see...Cryme Tyme...uhm...uh...)
Jack Swagger to RAW: I really believe that Swagger can establish himself as a credible upper mid-card wrestler on RAW. He has the cockiness and arrogance a heel needs, his mic work seems to be improving (he seems to really be trying to improve his lisp), and he is fun to watch in the ring. Could the All-American American be 2010's Mr. Money in the Bank?
In regards to everyone's disappointment in Christian not moving to SmackDown!...I pose one question...why? Sure, the idea of the Hardys and E&C on one show brings nostalgia and hopes to many old fans. But SmackDown! is already crowded with talent: Edge, Punk, both Hardys, Rey, Y2J, Undertaker (when he returns), Kane...not to mention the up and coming Morrison and Ziggler (whom I'm still not sold on yet...but hey everyone has their opinion). I think Christian would just get buried in SmackDown!. Staying on ECW a little longer can only help Christian get mic time and air time to really establish himself. (Besides, with Edge as a unified Tag Champ able to be on all 3 shows, we may still be able to see an Edge/Christian feud regardless).
If Christian should have moved, it should have been to RAW. SmackDown! is great already, so why mess with perfection? RAW needs talent in the form of upper-mid card wrestlers who can be credible threats to the WWE Championship, and Christian could easily be considered a #1 Contender.
