*Possible Spoilers* WWE Supplemental Draft results and discussion

Did anyone hear how lousy MVP's pop was tonight or was it just me? I guess it doesn't help matters that Micheal Cole brings up that stupid prom with that hefer Shelly Shepherd from the view week after week. I like the draft but I'm not impressed completley, Goldust and the Bella Twins.. seriously? and why oh why don't they let Christian shine on Smackdown? How many more times can he feud with Dreamer? Loud Noises!

Some observations:

RAW and SD! both have very small main event rosters. The mid-cards are loaded. Some guys are going to need to move up.

ECW has almost no good guys. Someone's going to have to switch alliances. Goldust is also almost guaranteed weekly airtime.

Lower Mid-card
Faces
Evan Bourne

Heels
Jack Swagger

Say what?! Jack Swagger a lower mid-card heel? I disagree. Jack Swagger put on one hell of a match earlier this year against top face John Cena in a losing effort, but proved in that match he belongs in (at least) the upper mid-card.

The way I see it, the highlights of this "trade" are:

William Regal to ECW: As RAW GM, he was able to generate heat easily. King of the Ring 2008 and was on his way up until he got himself suspended. A fresh start in ECW could be just what King Regal needs. A reign as ECW Champion could be great for Regal.

The Hart Dynasty to SmackDown!: WWE's hottest new tag team/stable, The Hart Dynasty now has a chance to get some ring time with some of WWE's established tag teams...(maybe that shouldn't be plural...lets see...Cryme Tyme...uhm...uh...)

Jack Swagger to RAW: I really believe that Swagger can establish himself as a credible upper mid-card wrestler on RAW. He has the cockiness and arrogance a heel needs, his mic work seems to be improving (he seems to really be trying to improve his lisp), and he is fun to watch in the ring. Could the All-American American be 2010's Mr. Money in the Bank?

In regards to everyone's disappointment in Christian not moving to SmackDown!...I pose one question...why? Sure, the idea of the Hardys and E&C on one show brings nostalgia and hopes to many old fans. But SmackDown! is already crowded with talent: Edge, Punk, both Hardys, Rey, Y2J, Undertaker (when he returns), Kane...not to mention the up and coming Morrison and Ziggler (whom I'm still not sold on yet...but hey everyone has their opinion). I think Christian would just get buried in SmackDown!. Staying on ECW a little longer can only help Christian get mic time and air time to really establish himself. (Besides, with Edge as a unified Tag Champ able to be on all 3 shows, we may still be able to see an Edge/Christian feud regardless).

If Christian should have moved, it should have been to RAW. SmackDown! is great already, so why mess with perfection? RAW needs talent in the form of upper-mid card wrestlers who can be credible threats to the WWE Championship, and Christian could easily be considered a #1 Contender.

Oh, I agree that he belongs in the upper mid-card, but I'm not sure he'll immediately be put into that role. I think they'll make him prove himself on RAW first.

I see Swagger in the mid-card role on RAW for a while to prove himself. He has shown he can lead a C-show as a champion. Getting Swagger in a secure upper mid-card role may take time. Swagger as United States Champion just screams cocky, arrogant promos (All-American American United States Champion...c'mon! Shades of Kurt Angle's arrogant American heel persona in his first year in WWE.) Swagger reminds me a lot of Kurt Angle in his first WWE year...undefeated streak, quick to hold gold, solid match with established upper-card wrestler...where he goes from here is up to Swagger (and creative...oh crap...)

So what does this mean for Night of Champions? All eight championships on the line:

WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Triple H or John Cena: I think it will be Cena. Triple H can go back to taking some time off.

U.S. Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Big Show or Miz or Jack Swagger: They started setting up Show, but I'd rather see Miz here. I like Swagger but he can't show up on the brand and get a title shot right out of the box. I'd like to see Bourn/Swagger in the meantime.

Divas' Champion Maryse vs. Mickie James: This match is already set, and Maryse has held the title for six months; this is a guaranteed title change.

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy: This is a no-brainer, and I think it will be a no-DQ match because of the way the match at The Bash ended.

Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler/David Hart Smith/Tyson Kidd/Mike Knox/Finlay: Ziggler hasn't been around for very long, but like I said about Swagger, I don't think they'll throw one of the young traded guys right into the title scene, so that takes out DHS and Kidd. I think Knox is on his way down the roster, not up. Rey vs. Finlay has great potential, but I think they'll go with Ziggler.

Unified Tag Team Champions Edge and Chris Jericho vs. The Colons or Legacy or Cryme Tyme (or some other ad hoc tag team): I'm thinking we could see a triple threat match with Carlito/Primo and Cryme Tyme.

Women's Champion Michelle McCool vs. Melina/Eve/Layla/Maria: Most likely a rematch with Melina.

ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer vs. Christian/Shelton Benjamin/Vladimir Kozlov/William Regal: Dreamer pinned Christian in the scramble match, so I don't think he has much credibility in demanding another match. They may push Benjamin to the top right away, and I think it would be a good feud. Regal would make a good feud, too, but I think he'll work with some of the mid-card talent. Kozlov has been a non-factor lately, but this could be the opportunity he needs to get back in the picture. I'm guessing it will be Christian or Benjamin.
