Possible Idea for NXT Season 2 Losers

Dark Match Winner
Hello everyone. This is my first post, and I checked and I didn't see it anywhere. We all know that NXT season 1 winner Wade Barrett has brought in all of the NXT season 1 losers with him to RAW and the WWE cannot do that storyline again over in Smackdown. However, with WWE having many "rookies" that look ready to take the jump (Kaval, McGuillicutty, Harris and Riley are the four that come to mind for me), how are we going to get the three that don't win (assuming that one of these three will win) onto SD or RAW?

Simple. The draft.

Right after the week the winner is announced for NXT season two (after Summerslam sometime). The WWE could have another draft. Techincally, they are on TV and are one of the three brands. The first time someone gets drafted to SD (Kaval would be great on SD in my opinion), the crowd would be going crazy and the announcers would be shocked. No one would see it coming. Then, they could do it again for RAW. Then also, the GMs know that the NXT rookies are up for drafting in the supplemental draft and some of the others get drafted. Not all of them, but the four I mentioned.

What do you think? I think this could be a great way for the E to bring in some of these guys without NEXUS 2.

Seeing as NXT was not involved as a brand for season 1 when the actual draft was taking place, I seriously doubt it will be the case this time. It is a "brand" but in some way it's separated from the rest of WWE programming.

Besides, it wouldn't really make sense for someone who "didn't win" to get a "win" in some manner anyway by actually getting onto the main shows. And sure I know that Nexus had all 8 guys getting on to the main show (By default Bryan was set to be kept around after all). But as a faction they kinda excuse themselves, because from a kayfabe aspect they terrorized their way to contracts. It won't work with season 2, because, we don't want the exact same thing, that'd kill any potential of both storyllines.

So I don't see this working in any way, in theory it's a good idea. Don't get me wrong, but because NXT wasn't involved in the first draft this year, it kills any potential of the current season getting involved.

Besides it could happen in the middle of a season, which would kill off a bit of the actual concept of the show by someone accidentally being drafted onto RAW while he's practically on the verge of elimination, or a WWE superstar getting drafted to NXT (From a kayfabe perspective)

I had stopped watching wrestling during NXT season one and started back again once the NEXUS angle started. While that is true, there needs to be a way to get more than one of these guys into the WWE. Like I said, there are four who are ready to make the jump, IMO. How do you tell the other three that they cannot get into the WWE? For instance, a fan favorite is Kaval, but yet they are squashing him. Vince wouldn't let Kaval go back down to FCW. Husky Harris has greatly improved in recent weeks, McGuillicutty is looking strong, but I have a feeling Alex Riley is going to win. And no one would get drafted to NXT because NXT wouldnt have matches to determine a winner. And remember the draft is "random" so no NXT people got randomly chosen last time around.

No for two reasons. Firstly because these guys supposedly don't have contracts yet. No contracts = no drafting.

Secondly, the guys who get eliminated suck. Titus could make it a win on the mic, but in the ring? Not so much. Cottonwood was just shit. Cannon or Harris is likely to go next, and I can't wait for one of them to go. Cannon is shit, and Harris, while technically good doesn't entertain me. The only guys in NXT season 2 who have a future on WWE TV are Riley, McGillicutty, Watson and Kaval. And each of them need quite a lot of work to be at the standard set by Season 1.

I think the creation of Nexus has caused a small problem when it comes to the next season of NXT. Are all 8 going to get a contract, and become a team? I hope not. I think Nexus should be disbanded after losing at Summerslam. This will free up the losers of season 1 and 2 be drawn into Raw and Smackdown rosters. Wade Barrett will then be alone again, until Season 2 winner (let's say Alex Riley) helps him win the world title from Randy Orton. If there is a third season of NXT, the winner will join them too. That makes Nexus a group of winners, not losers and runner ups.
