They very well could be. It'd make a lot of sense if they were, it'd especially explain all the f'ed up designs for creatures. Only Jamacans can get that stoned.

They die, but since pokemon is more geared more towards young kids, the makers of pokemon really tone down the death scenes. When a digimon dies, they die, their data gets deleted and they don't come back. Of course their are some exceptions, certain Digimon, after death, using their power, have found their way back to the Digital Plane, from Heaven, Hell, The Net Ocean, Purgatory, Dark Limbo, different dimensions throughout the Digital Universe by simply generating themselves into another, often more powerful, form.

First off, Pokemon DO NOT DIE. I can't stress that enough. And as for the bolded part, I don't know what those are, I'm guessing your refering to past the 2nd season. I only watched the first two seasons. I enjoyed the first two seasons, but I enjoyed Pokemon more.

Yeah, theres more on the line. But I still find Pokemon as better all around. I should make a point right now, I was always a bigger fan of the origonal games, and I always found the games funner. More freedom. It don't mater how much is on the line, it's how they go through with it. I enjoy Pokemon battles as opposed to Digimon battles.

hmm..... as a kid I could say the same thing for digimon, the only pokemon games I remember were the one's for gameboy and Pokemon Snap for N64

Some excellent points as well. The bolded games that I bolded were the games that I once owned. I still have half of them and the others I sold. Really excellent points by Derf, again he knows his stuff and I can't wait to see Ech's response.

I just wanna make an additional point, I don't think I made it clear in my last post. I wasn't always ahuge fan of the TV Shows, I always prefered the games. Thats a lie actually, thats what I prefer right now. As a kid, I liked Pokemon and Digimon both alot. Equaly. But I still think that although I like em both, I still think Pokemon is better in the long run, as does over 50% of the people that voted.

Just for the record, I've never had a blow up girl.. but how are they entirely bad? They never say no. They don't fake anything. They'll take it in every hole they have available. And last but not least.. you DO NOT.. and I greatly stress the point..

The Digital Plane is just another name for the Digital world. Purgatory or "dark ocean" was mentioned in the 2 season, they even had a episode devoted to it, they also mentioned the idea of Hell at the end of the 1st season.

all the other stuff is mentioned outside of the 1st and 2nd season's

I never liked Yugioh, I just liked Digimon because I grew up with it. It was my favorite show as a young child, even though I never really cared that much for anything after season 3.
