If CM Punk does return in the near future in time to have a match at WrestleMania, and if Daniel Bryan does indeed make it into the main event, this is how I can see him returning (or at least how I'd like to see it played out)...
Next week during Hogan's big Mania announcement on Raw, Hogan brings out Daniel Bryan and tells him if HHH isn't going to give him the match that Daniel wants at Mania, then he's going to give the fans the match they're dying to see Daniel in. Hogan inserts Daniel Bryan into the main event, but then all of a sudden, from the crowd comes CM Punk who attacks Daniel Bryan. Then, HHH comes out and stares CM Punk in the face. Crowd goes nuts. They think shits about to pop off or its setting up for HHH vs Cm Punk...but then, to the crowd's surprise, CM Punk shakes HHH's hand. HHH gets on the mic and says "Behold, WWE Universe...your NEW face of the WWE! CM PUNK!" They hug and HHH raises CM Punk's arm as they stand over Bryan's unconscious body. Much like Corporate Kane, CM Punk has sold out.
On the next Raw, CM Punk comes out to massive heat and "You sold out!" chants and says at the top of the show that HHH made him the new face of the WWE because he finally realized Punk was what's "best for business". He points out that The Authority noticed how Orton has disappointed for far too long as The Face of The Company and Batista hasn't been the ideal player they were hoping for. Meanwhile, the WWE universe loves Punk even when he's got his feet kicked back at home not giving a damn about these fans. Punk slowly became the company's biggest money maker when he walked out of the WWE. He turned his back on the WWE Universe and they still loved him. They chanted his name throughout every WWE show and he wasn't even in the building. "Who did you chant for when that pipsqueak Daniel was in the ring in Chicago? ME! I'm the best in the world whether you like it or not and I demand you all show me the respect I deserve now that I'm back!" He says if there's one thing he agrees with Batista on, it's that the Yes Movement is the dumbest thing he's ever witnessed in his life. He tells the crowd Daniel Bryan is the last guy who deserves a spot in the WrestleMania main event. "Now, for a little runt, Daniel is one of the best technical stars I've gone toe to toe with. I'll give him that. But as far as I'm concerned, he's flavor of the month right now. Everybody loves an underdog so you cheer him and you boo me because I'm not him, but let's play with the idea he actually wins the belt? Then what? Then he proves he can't handle the pitbulls. The underdog gets chewed up and spit back out by a real pitbull and that's exactly what'll happen if he's in the main event of WrestleMania! He didn't bust his ass for 8 years like I did! He got you idiots to chant "Yes! Yes! Yes!" because it's so damn catchy and now you want him to be champion! Now while I'm still in this company, that's not gonna happen!" Then, Daniel Bryan charges down the ring and challenges CM Punk to a match later that night. He puts up his spot in the WrestleMania main event if he loses.
Then, they go toe to toe later that night in the main event and thanks to interference from the Authority, CM Punk wins and the main event for WrestleMania XXX is Cm Punk vs Batista vs Randy Orton for the WWE Title. After Pedigreeing Daniel Bryan, HHH tells Bryan, "You know what, kid. You got spunk. And honestly, it's just too much fun kicking your ass week in and week out so I've got a proposition for you...at WrestleMania XXX, I'll make you famous. That's right. You and me will go toe to toe at the big show and to up the ante, if you win, you get in the main event and it turns into a fatal four way. But, you won't win. I'll just cripple you."
Fast forward to WrestleMania XXX, Daniel Bryan beats HHH in a match but immediately following the match, The Authority beat Bryan down to a pulp to a point he gets carried out on a gurney. Later in the main event, Bryan's music hits but no one comes out, meaning it'll just be between Orton, Batista, and Punk. Then, halfway through, Bryan's music hits and he comes down the ramp limping and pulling off his neck brace. He's in the match and after a Knee Plus from "A plus player" Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan wins the WWE Title. HHH is irate during the celebration.
From here, Punk and Bryan start feuding over the title. Punk occasionally beefs with HHH claiming "I didn't come back so I can get embarrassed like this! You're the COO! Fix this!" And it all culminates at Summerslam (which is I think when Punk's contract officially ends? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I read somewhere his contract is up during the summer) when Daniel and Punk have a Loser Leaves WWE match for the WWE Title. Bryan wins. Punk gets escorted out by security. Maybe the last thing he does is GTS HHH yelling "I told you to fix this, you son of a bitch!" and the ppv ends with Punk getting hauled out the building kicking and screaming like when Jericho lose his Loser Leaves WWE match against Cena in 05. This would be a nice send off for Punk so the fans feel satisfied with his exit and don't feel the need to chant "CM Punk!" every five seconds.
