So we all know one of Ozzy Osbourne's greatest hits is Crazy Train. Now, I had heard it many times before I realized it was Ozzy when I was younger. I had to because my dad is a big fan of Ozzy, Scorpions, etc. But I had never put two and two together. Anyway, Ozzy's is obviously the shit. There can't be much else to say about it.

Now, Bullet For My Valentine has done their own cover.

Now I must say that I am a big fan of both Ozzy and BFMV both. I must say, BFMV did a very good job, Matt's voice was really good, and they were able to add their own sound to it very well. Now, Ozzy's version I don't think can ever be topped, and I will always listen when it comes on the radio or on itunes. But I will say that when Bullet's version comes on, I won't turn it off either. Both are very good, Ozzy's being better of course.

Bullet For My Valentine really did a good job with this song, I was quite impressed. They really made it their own. But this song was too immortal the first time to be topped. I have to go with the God of Heavy Metal, when it comes to one of the most immortal heavy metal songs.

Without a doubt, Ozzy. He owns this song, and all anyone can do with a cover is try to do it justice. BFMV does a very solid job, and I really like Matt's vocals, but it just ain't the same. Ozzy, Zakk & Co. win this in a landslide.

I'm actually surprised by how good the Bullet For My Valentine cover was. Picks up the pace of the song a bit, and it's an enjoyable cover. However, we're talking about Ozzy fucking Osbourne here, so you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that could do one of his songs better than he could. Definitely going to have to give the nod to the original here. It's just not Crazy Train without Ozzy.
