Ongoing Thread For Smarmy Spam Responses to the WZT

I don't care one bit what the results of any of these matches are, I just voted for people you voted against and then once for Vader because I like IC25's argument and once for Andre because I like seeing people get all pissed off about ties.

I'll get in on these lulz in the battlezone tournament. Just surprised because I have only made multiple comments in maybe five matches and you are a known Cena over Rock kewl kid.

I'm digging this. Austin, Rock, Savage, and Michaels look like they could go out this round. Not all of them are the right calls, but it'll be cool to see some new blood here.

Also, it looks like this could finally be Sting's year.

Nah, he never worked for the WWE so he's automatically inferior.

Look at the remaining competition, though. Hogan, Flair, Cena, and Sting will be the biggest names remaining. He has as good a shot as any of them.

Also, he made it to the Finals against Austin a couple years ago.

A quick summary of the greatest upsets over the years (well, the ones I've heard of):

- Edge over common sense.
- A ladder over Hogan.
- And Vader over Austin.

Illustrious company.

Inoki lost to someone shit in the Tokyo Dome once, Liger over Michaels and my personal favourite, Christian beat Stan Hansen in an ECW match.

With that Edge run, only him beating Undertaker in the semi, having been trounced by him regularly that year, was the only truly bizarre win.

If it's any consolation, I'm sure Austin wouldn't have shown up if he thought he was losing.

He'd have taken his ball and walked right out of the WZ tourney. It's still better than "losing his smile," though.

I didn't know about a few of those, but Inoki losing in Tokyo is particularly hilarious. Christian over Hansen in ECW is outrageous, too.

The whole, "xxx is a bigger star then xxx so he should win," argument ruins this tournament for me. I mean people love to throw that out there. Should we just alternate wins between Austin and Hogan every year?

IC has made a great argument for Vader, however, some people are completely dismissing the argument and the stipulation because Austin was a bigger draw.

That makes the tournament useless.

No it doesn't. If Vader was anywhere near Austin's league then it would be a fine argument, but he isn't.

Can't forget Hansen losing to Rob Van Dam.

And Benoit beating Hogan because of a damn ladder takes the cake for me.

You might be entitled to use this argument once Hogan actually wins the tournament.

No, I think it was monster's ball or something. Whatever it was, it was something that HHH would have definitely won, but he and Savage split the vote (I was one who voted Savage and shouldn't have). He drew with Savage at Ultimate Submission before hand.

That year also had Vader vs Big Show vs Andre The Giant in a ladder match. What an utterly ridiculous state of affairs that would have been.
