[Official] X Marks the Spot: Xfearbefore Xclusive Thread

Yeah, can't complain finally getting paid more so I can afford to get stuff other then food and power. Swap you for a day? It hasn't snowed here since before I was born. the weather here is ok, it's around 11 degrees here at the moment.

So you like Aronofsky? He's probably my favorite director right now. In fact, I have to write an essay about a film auteur and I'm going to write about him. What did you think of The Fountain?

That's weird. I had to do that about two months ago and did it on David Fincher. After seeing Black Swan I would have loved to have done it on Aronofsky now actually.

Hey X, got a question for you. In a thread in the spam zone (KB said he's gonna review a PWG show), you said the following...

PWG is probably my favorite promotion to watch simply because of how damn fun their shows are, they don't take themselves too seriously and keep it light, the crowds are always great, they employ excellent workers and the commentary alone makes their shows worth watching/listening to.

I said this, but the thread died and I never got a reply.
I have never watched a PWG show before (hell, sadly I rarely watch non WWE anymore, no TNA, and I have 2 ROH DVDs). This post has made me interested in downloading a show.

If I were interested in giving this promotion a try, what show should I get?

So I ask, what show would be a good barometer of PWGs awesomeness?

I'd say just go ahead and pick up the show "Seven" from last July that we were talking about, it was one of the best shows of 2010 and probably one of the best shows PWG has ever put on. That would give you a great taste of the things PWG can offer.

Thanks. Figured that's what you were gonna say, especially after noticing every match on the card got at least 3 stars, most 3.5 + I think.

Gonna try and watch it tomorrow, or after RAW.

Was in New Hampshire from the 29th-5th Feb on a school skiing trip. Great fun

Walked into a Super Wal-Mart in Salem and the bargain bin was full of some good stuff, including the AWA Legacy DVD. Was like a pig in chardonnay

I just watched American Beauty. Probably one of the best films I've ever seen, and I loved it. I saw some of the philosophy present in Catcher in the Rye, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Office Space, and many more all stuffed into this movie and it gets everything across perfectly. What are your thoughts on it?

One of my all-time favorite films actually, totally blew me away when I originally saw it and it still does every time I watch it. One of the few films I could probably watch every single day and never get tired of. Made me a Sam Mendes/Alan Ball fan for life.

X if you got the time I would really like to get your opinion on my thread in the CL entitled 'Is church really that important?'

I'd link it for you but...I'm sure you can guess.

Oh hey, happy page 600, X. You are 600 pages more popular than 99% of this forum. That said, you are 1,555 pages less popular than NorCal. Don't worry, you'll catch him in no time.

I am honored, and then slightly less honored.

Have you seen Black Swan? What did you think if you did?

Loved it, saw it like 2 months ago. Portman deserves the Oscar for her performance, masterpiece of a film, no way to describe it really other than perfect. Aronofsky has long been one of my favorite filmmakers and hopefully he finally gets the respect he deserves now with this film.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

I just saw it this past weekend. It may have been the most fucked up movie I have ever seen. Looking back though, it was done so well. The parallel stories with the ballet and her losing herself was perfect and made for a crazy experience for the audience. Great stuff.
