[Official] X Marks the Spot: Xfearbefore Xclusive Thread

Sounds damn painful dude. So now you're just dealing with the after pains, what did they do to the tooth? Replaced it?

Nah it wasn't that bad actually, first few shots hurt like a bitch, next few were much easier because of how numb I was at that point. It always sucks getting novocaine though, hate getting injections in my mouth. Nah they didn't replace it, it was only one tooth and it was already cracked and damaged so it wasn't that big a deal, could have been much worse. Now I'm just left with this painful little wound in the side of my mouth that I have to keep covering with gauze, but it's all good, worst is over. Honestly the after pains really aren't bad at all, probably didn't need Vics at all but I wasn't going to say no to the doctor.

I'm not sure whether I can do with the wisdom teeth. I mean I was told I could when I was at the dentist last time because the upper layer of the teeth had grown out, but they're still growing out slowly from time to time. Slow process as a bitch, they've been growing since I was 16!

Yeah you're probably fine, if there was a problem you'd probably be feeling the pain every few weeks or so, if your mouth is big enough though to fit them you're fine and won't need them taken out, most people need them removed though. Now wisdom teeth, those bastards hurt.

I really lost interest in wrestling for the majority of 2008 Steve so I had no clue DiBiase worked in NOAH previously. I do have a few 2008 shows on my laptop though that I've been meaning to get around to watching, so maybe I'll see some more of him. Seems like a promising kid.

Ah. Oh, wow you were like me then. I lost interest from '07- Mid '08. Somehow, it didn't stand out as much. Then again, I don't remember anything from '07-'08 :lmao: But I used to read the reports at times, but that was it.

So where is the tooth placed? Like right smacked down in the middle of your mouth? Or a side thing?

Yeah I could imagine the first few shots being a bitch. I could guess I'd be pretty pissed if I had to sit and deal with that as well.

Saying no to a doctor is rarely ever a good choice. Unless it's career depending of course (Wrestling obviously) so I can totally follow you.

Yeah I could imagine that, as well as the fact that the 4 I got surfacing (I don't believe there's more than 4 right?) aren't in any kind of contact with the other teeth I have so shouldn't be messing up.

Ah. That explains it. Good matches, actually.

Oh yeah definitely. I liked the match I linked earlier. Even though I do disagree a bit with the Japanese style of selling. I mean Kenta got up from that dropkick pretty damn quickly nearing the start. Kinda ruins the legitimacy of a move a bit.

Also X, he worked Noah in 2007, he was in FCW in 2008.

Yeah believe it or not I actually lost total interest in anything wrestling related in 2002. I had been watching since 1997, both WCW and WWF (was always a WWF kid though, huge Austin mark like everyone else on Planet Earth), but I remember right around the first Draft and brand split, I just hated that concept so much that I just lost interest in wrestling alltogether, and didn't even watch a single show from the WWE from basically late 2002 to late 2006. Then I don't know, maybe I was just craving some nostalgia but I ended up ordering the Royal Rumble in 2007 and started watching again and got sucked back into it big time, became a huge smark. Lost interest again in 2008, until after Wrestlemania 25, but have been so back into it since that I can't imagine ever taking a "break" from wrestling again honestly, fuck it consists of like 99% of what I watch these days, just can't get enough.

It was my back left molar actually, which had been in such bad shape for the last year that it didn't take much effort to pull it out. Feels a bit weird in my mouth, but it's not bad actually.

Yeah I could imagine the first few shots being a bitch. I could guess I'd be pretty pissed if I had to sit and deal with that as well.

Eh I can't complain too much, had it done at the clinic in town and only ended up spending 20 bucks for the entire thing and the prescription, would have been so much more expensive if I had gone to a private dentist. Yeah though, getting stabbed in the mouth is never fun.

Lol well it was more to do with me just being, shall we say, somewhat of a "party-er". I feel fucking amazing right now.

Hey I am right there with you Ferb, I watch a shit-ton of puro and no-selling still pisses me off just about every time I see it. The only times I think it's acceptable to no-sell a move is during the climax of a match when both guys are firing on all cylinders, because then it makes sense in the context of the match and their adrenaline pushing them to just get right back up, but I agree, I fucking hate it when two guys are handing out stiff as hell lariats and they just keep getting back up.

Also X, he worked Noah in 2007, he was in FCW in 2008.

Ahhh, well, still, didn't know he worked in NOAH at all. He's lucky to have been wrestling a guy like KENTA though, he could learn alot from a worker like him, probably in my top five workers on the planet right now is KENTA.

Ah so it's no bad thing then, would've sucked if it was one of the frontal teeth that had to be removed. Would look odd mostly.

Saving money makes any pain worth it after all. As long as it's done properly and not just some shitty job that ends up costing you thousands of dollars getting fixed.

Ah very well. But that can wait a bit after all though.

Yeah I completely agree, JMT linked to a great match between Kenta and some other dude I can't remember. Great match and all but I was disappointed as fuck seeing a clothesline like DiBiase that basically turns Evan Bourne inside out but Kenta got right the fuck back up. The same with numerous finishers in WWE performed there that didn't keep anybody down. I saw a diamond cutter RKO style that didn't keep him down for more than 10 seconds.

It kills the entertainment, but in the end of the day I guess it's fine, more time for awesome wrestling, but could at least spend a while selling the match please?

Yeah I could imagine, Kenta is quite a wrestler. I've just always been more of the ground hold for hold type of guy ala Shawn, Bret, Benoit etc. like I mentioned earlier. With exception of Guerrero who's probably the closest I get to loving the in-ring style of a mixed person.

Yeah that's exactly what I was worried about, but it turned out fine.

Nah they're professionals, lol I didn't go visit a hobo in a dark alleyway or anything, just had to go to the clinic because I don't have any health insurance right now.

Yeah the no-selling can get a bit ridiculous in Japan, I agree. Sometimes though, a bit of no-selling is okay, if it makes sense in the match and with the wrestlers involved.

Not sure I'd consider Shawn a ground hold-for-hold guy, he was always more of the risk taker and high flyer I thought, never much of a technical wrestler, but he didn't need to be because he knew how to work a wrestling match better than just about anyone else.

Benoit in his younger days was insane, imagine all that hold for hold technical skill and add in the high-flying of a young Rey Misterio Jr. and you've got The Pegasus Kid/Wild Pegasus.

6 shots? Why did my dentist only let me have two? That cunt wanted me to feel it - I know she did.

That's what your immoral socialist system gets you Samuel, shoddy medical work and less free drugs. I know how much you love drugs.

Yeah that's exactly what I was worried about, but it turned out fine.

And that's what matters dude. Glad to hear it's no big deal.

Nah they're professionals, lol I didn't go visit a hobo in a dark alleyway or anything, just had to go to the clinic because I don't have any health insurance right now.

I wouldn't think you did, but even professionals can be asshats with a tool at times.

Of course a bit of no-selling is okay. I mean have I ever uttered a word about Taker and Kane? Sure I do about Hogan but I can't stand the guy so that's another thing.

Not sure I'd consider Shawn a ground hold-for-hold guy, he was always more of the risk taker and high flyer I thought, never much of a technical wrestler, but he didn't need to be because he knew how to work a wrestling match better than just about anyone else.

Sure but he does have a base in hold for hold wrestling, some of his matches with Cena and Angle shows just that, the lock-up into a hammerlock, into a snapmare, into a headlock and all that. I saw that as well with DiBiase and Kenta, the basics at least. Which is why I liked the match.

And agreed, Shawn does know how to work in a wrestling ring above the majority of the current roster. Shawn does have a long array of wrestling basics it would seem. With exception of lucha libre wrestling. Because that would look odd.

Benoit in his younger days was insane, imagine all that hold for hold technical skill and add in the high-flying of a young Rey Misterio Jr. and you've got The Pegasus Kid/Wild Pegasus.

Yeah I saw you comparing the two, I guess in 10 years we'll be seeing Prince Davitt standing tall at Wrestlemania. I would mark the FUCK out if Prince Davitt became a second Benoit in WWE. I loved Benoit in the ring, mostly because I'm like a little child when someone performs a German suplex. He did lots, that's why I love Angle a lot as well. Odd I know but what can I do?

On an off note. This dog we've got a few days ago is gonna drive me crazy, it's one active fucker, and when I'm home alone with it, I'm not the one deciding when it is going for a walk, it decides when I am going for a walk.

I totally kept the world named Proletariat, just so you know. And it's staying that way. My subtle, underlying commentary on class structures and government wouldn't be able to stand without it.

Jammin like a motherfucker

I'd say go just because I'd imagine wrestling shows are hard to come by in Europe. Who's going to be there?

Never even heard of non American wrestling shows in Europe. I know of a wrestling school in Denmark though, with one of the former WCW power plant trainers.

I'm not sure. I haven't seen it, all I know is that it's the dude that are only famous for looking like Hogan, Asbjørn Riis is his name.

With a name like that it's baffling why he wasn't a wrestling star in America.

But really, the WCW power plant sucked. So very badly. They produced the most cookie-cutter bland generic turds of wrestlers in the late 90s. That place wasn't exactly the Dungeon.

Catching up on some ROH shows today. Watching "Pick Your Poison" with a Tyler Black-Kenny King main event from 4/23 of this year, okay show thus far, though I'm baffled as to why the fuck I am seeing the fucking Metal Master in ROH.

Yep it sucked, it managed to let go of one of the biggest WWE guys in the past century (Batista).

And Asbjørn Riis is overrated, even Kofi Kingston never heard of him when he was interviewed here in Denmark.

Chad Collyer I believe?

Yeah, great wrestler but I had no fucking clue he was working back in the states, let alone for ROH again. Wonder why they had him debut uder the mask and not use his real name as he wrestled for ROH for several years during their beginning days and has some pretty great matches. Just seemed a really, really odd thing to do.
