I suppose it doesn't help matters that I've been listening to nothing but depressing music lately. Yeah, it's strange how things go. Like sometimes I just feel like screaming. Just ripping my hair out and just scream and scream and scream and maybe someone will hear me and extend a hand to help. I should find someway to channel this anger. Maybe I'll start writing poetry again, that used to be my obsession when I was a teenager. Thinking about starting a band or something, I've just got all these thoughts and rhythms and lyrics floating around my head all day long, I feel like if I just can learn the technical side of things (playing a guitar, singing in melody) I could really reach a few people.
This song sounds like how I feel most of these days.
Cold and hollow.
Man everyone really does hate Doug huh. He is a dumb fuck but I don't really think it's his fault he's a dumb fuck.
First things first....learn how to tune this fucking guitar I have.
Second step....learn to play it adequately.
Third step, punk rock love.
Fourth step: $$$.
So whats the deal with that? Whats been goins on broski?
I don't give a fuck what anyone says, Blink 182 are an amazing band.
Yeah, I got to give you this. The goddamn band took over the island like it was an epidemic. People everywhere were singing "All The Small Things". Shit was out of control around these parts.
They were my favorite band growing up, at least all-throughout elementary school before I discovered Nirvana and became obsessed with Cobain. I got into hardcore and tried to pretend I didn't like them anymore, but a few years back I listened to Dude Ranch again and remembered why I loved them so much and have rekindled my lost love for them. I'm so fucking happy they're back together and making a new album, can't wait to hear it. Nobody captured teenage angst in the late 90s like Blink, and certainly no one set it to such insanely melodic, catchy music. I'll defend them until the day I die. Dude Ranch is one of the best punk albums of the 90s, and is probably the best pop-punk album ever.
Yay, definitely.
I liked +44's album, had a few pretty good songs on it, especially "When Your Heart Stops Beating". Their side projects were never going to be as good as Blink was. It really bummed me out when they broke up because they finally had evolved in their sound and basically made what I would consider almost a new-wave album in their last self titled one, and it was awesome, I wanted to see more of that new adult Blink but then they broke up. But now they're back together so I can't wait to hear the results again. They just captured punk and pop perfectly in 2-3 minute intervals.
Roflcopter, you really want Doug to play the guitar don't you Steve?
