From what I remember, it's a pretty good film. Deodato was a pretty good director. Definitely better than either Umberto Lenzi or Bruno Mattei.

I liked some of Lenzi's work actually, particularly Eaten Alive. Mattei did one of the Zombi sequels right? Can't say those were good films, albeit marginally entertaining.

Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci, and Lamberto Bava are still the tops, though.

Of course.

Have you seen Fulci's Nightmare Concert/Cat In The Brain? I think it just got a proper DVD release here in the States this year, but, beforehand, it was just one of those films you'd try to find on bootleg at horror conventions.

A few years back online, but I absolutely loved it. Fulci meets Fellini is the kind of stuff a film buff's wet dreams are made of. If it's getting a proper release I'm going to need buy myself a copy.

All of this talk of Italian horror, think I'll watch Demons.

LOL, I love putting those up and watching everyone say the same things over and over. You're the only one who says anything new. That's why I sent you that PM. I wanted to see the same old same old. Beck is evil!!! O'Reilly screams!!! Hannity is a troll!!!!

And......

You take it for what it is, and that's no fun. I have to think when you involve yourself. We'll save that for that post count. :lmao:

Did you read the earning power thread? Shia LeBouf gets a 160 to 1 return on investment for his studio while Will Ferrel gets $3.29 to 1 on the investment he makes.

At the very least in Shia's case, it's sort of flawed logic.

You can stick Becker in the Transformers movies, or as Young Indy, and those movies would still make a shitload.

If the guy was going to try and "own" me, X...He could've at least read the thread...I very clearly said I was talking in modern terms...

I know but the bands you named aren't very good. :p

Oh and I'm not surprised FTS, especially considering the massive flop that Land of the Lost was.

Ferrell is VERY hit or miss.

When he's on, he turns out stuff like Anchorman, Step Brothers, and Talledega Nights.

When he isn't, you get Semi-Pro (which had a great cast... it just sucked), and Land of the Lost.

Where did I say the bands had to be good, on any level? I just said they had to break down color barriers. Find a picture of God Forbid, and tell me they didn't break down color barriers :lmao:

They don't. Because the barriers have already been broken down decades ago NSL.

You ask a 15 year old metalhead to name a band with someone who isn't white in it, and you'll get Bury Your Dead, God Forbid, Sevendust...So for today's music fans, these bands are still breaking them down.

Those bands broke through walls, but they didn't stand out as pioneers (except for Bad Brains and Cypress Hill). The bands today are standing out like that.

A 15 year old is the last person I'd ask about who's breaking down the color barrier in metal music.

You can't re-break a wall. After Jackie Robinson came into the MLB, you couldn't re-break the color barrier.

So Larry Doby did nothing special?

Have you ever had to sit through a movie that you didn't want to watch, literally? It's the worst thing in the world, man, sitting there with a beautiful celluloid screen in front of you, and you aren't even paying attention because nothing in front of you is worth paying attention to. It's like sitting there, having the opportunity to get involved in a threesome, except the two people getting it on in front of you don't attract you in the least.

That's how I felt the other day when I was forced to watch Transporter 3. What movie sent you into a mind-coma?

Poor bastard. That thing looks atrocious, like a show on the CW or something.

I'm in the mood for some giallo. Any suggestions?
