June gets cheap heat because of the young fans / school kids. Other than the end of school, June boasts "Flag Day" (use of symbols to indoctrinate citizens and breed ethnocentrism), and "Fathers Day." (talk about a sell-out, Hallmark holiday!)
December, on the other hand, houses both Chaunnukah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa, which is an important time for three major cultural groups. You call December a "sell-out," but that holiday single handedly buoys the retail industry in this country, upon which may jobs and incomes are dependent. And then let's get to New Year's Eve, which is the 2nd biggest party holiday of the year (2nd to my pick to win this tournament - March and St. Patricks Day). The fact is, Sly, December goes over June every time. Anyone who votes June over December is just plain ignorant.
