The following matches were confirmed at this week’s WWE Supershow, for this month's WWE Great American Bash PPV. The Great American Bash will take place on July 22, 2007 from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California:

WWE Championship Match
John Cena (c) vs. Bobby Lashley

WWE World Championship Match
Edge (c) vs. Kane

ECW Word Title Match
Johnny Nitro (c) vs. CM Punk

The Great Khali vs. Batista

Torrie Wilson vs. Victoria

WWE Championship match - O.O God help us all, military dude vs. the teddy bear? How did WWE come up with this match? They had a great oppertunity to give Mr.Kennedy the title shot he desirves and to have him fueding with Cena would have some great promos. To sum this up, I will be using the washroom for this main event.

World Championship - Wow when did Kane get a push for the title? Anyway could be a good match Kane has the capability to put on a good match and with Edge in the other corner it's bound to be at the least a decent match, Edge doesn't really have anyone to fued with over on SmackDown so this could lasy for a while until MVP is given a push or if Jericho returns either way should be good.

ECW Championship - Well for the "C" show I think this will be my favourite match of the night. Two of the younger stars with great in ring skills and the abilty to make it into a long lasting fued. I see this going either way but it will be an amazing match.

Khali vs Batista - This doesn't even diserve to be commented on. Well they still have time to pull it from the card, let's just hope they do.

Torrie Wilson vs Victoria - Victoria will probaly dominate the match due to the fact that Torrie is just eye-candy.

. . . As far as I know WWE hasn't confirmed those matches yet as they arn't on the GAB page, but those are just my thoughts in what those matches would be like. Another match I could see being put on the card is Sandman vs. Carlito after last nights DQ win for Carlito.

Seems to be a very lackluster show, the should keep on with the "gimmick' ppvs like the past 2 have been. The only thing I care about here is Edge keeping the World Title. The matches seem very predictable, i'll save my $ for Summer SLam

Rey is gonna be the new world champ but at sumerslam it could be triple threat for the world champ so that can Batista earn a title shot

Apparently you were completely wrong. Not only is the Smackdown! main event completely different (it's going to be kave vs. Edge apparently), but reports surfaces the other day that Vince doesn't like Rey Rey as world champion because of obviously his size.

Add that to the steroid allegations that could be thrown at Rey Rey and it's safe to say his chances of ever being world champ again are done.

I see him being pushed as a special attraction like the Undertaker was before his most recent push, if at all.

I'm surprised Kane got the shot at Edge's title if the reports are true, but it'll make for an interesting match as I don't remember Edge working with Kane one on one before, and both of them can work. I'm happy with the direction WWE went on this one.

Meanwhile, we also get Batista vs. Khali. I ABSOLUTELY CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT ONE. It's going to be simply awesome.

Well it is now Bobby Lashleys turn to be fed to John Cena. There is only one outcome to this match, and despite what people think, they are wrong. John Cena will not lose a one on one match for the title, it's just that simple. It would be wonderful for Lashley to do this, because his career would be boosted, but it won't happen. I would imagine Cena is losing it at Summerslam in an elimination Chamber.

Right now, how the hell is Kane in a match with Edge. Isn't this the same Kane that just got beat by a Bearhug? The booking and sense of direction is just mind numbingly bad right now.

And yes, it was inevitable, a 2x4 vs. a sheet of wood, Batista vs. the Great Khali. Remember with Cena and Khali, it was bad, but it could be worse. This my friends is worse. This could possibly be the most horrible match in the history of organized professional wrestling.

Right now, the card looks to be another Craptacular.

But Shocky, Batitsa and Khali as horriable it may be it will be that much watchable as you will want to watch at that trainwreck. Its so awful that its good as you will have a hard time kepping your eyes off. Now with Kane to face Edge shows the the Smackdown creative sides is going to hell as it looked like we have MVP vs Kane but we dont. What they should have done which wold have been ok by me is have Edge team up with MVP and take on a team as right now WWE has no direction for both as for challengers. But oh well Edge will cheat to win and look weak as WWE does their heels. But I think we see a Flair vs MVP rematch or MVP vs Hardy.

Wait a second what the hell happened to Rey Mysterio? I thought he was supposed to make his return against Edge at GAB? Did I miss something here? Why is Kane being given a title shot when he hasn't been even a low-to-mid card threat in years? When you're teaming up with the Boogeyman, you should not be allowed a title shot ever again.

As things stans right now the GAB looks nothing more than a joke of a PPV. We have to faces going at in the main event and WWE is hyping as a crowed champion vs a man who should still be a champion. This match doesnt excite me and i expect to b nothing great. A rematch for the Womens title please this feud has gone on way too ong and hopefully end it though i rather have Melina as champ than Candice. The bullrope match is going to bad as Dusty is up in age and well he not what he used to be as we will see cody get invloved but not much else. The challenge match yawnn though i expect some big move by Batitsa that the crowd will love and get Cole and JBL saying they can not believe some one could ever do that to Khali. The WHC match please how does Kane go rom jobber to number one contender is unbeliveable though this match just doesnt excite me. The ony match that looks watchable is the ECW championship match between Nitro and Punk. that should be the MOTN i believe. Really shaping up as a horriable PPV.

I think that possibly WWE may be laying low on Mysterio right now because of the whole steroid issue. However, they probably just havent found a way to put him into the PPV yet, but it is a possibility. Besides, going straight for the championship in the first match back doesnt seem to make sense anyways. I think that it is more possible that he will face Chavo or just make an appearance and not wrestle. Who knows..... taking a look over at WWE.com it still has him on the poster.

I'm really worried about the GAB, i cant find a match exciting enough who will keep my ass glued to the chair. Maybe in The texas bullrope match we will see Cody Rhodes interfering or something.. and unfortunately, any connection with Triple H involved in this match, is dead IMO.
I guess Punk vs Nitro is going to be great, but i have a bad feeling about Punk wining the ECW title (before to start bashing me, please go to the Nitro champ thread in about 10 minutes, explanation is in progress, i think i already posted something, but i have more)
Cena vs Lashley...i see more interference of Booker, leading to a Booker vs Lashley at Summerslam, IMO, a good match because we all know Booker is capable of carry Lashley to a decent match. Yes, booker is that good!!
I was hoping to see Mysterio returnig at the GAB, but i dont know where to put him now, a match vs Chavo is surely emotional, but we dont need that now, we need mysterio as a main eventer ASAP, he should be delivering great matches again in no more than 2 SD shows...
Melina vs Candice...I just going to wait for Candice to drop his "attire" and Melina to do her entrance below the first rope and go and take a piss at the bar...oh yeah! and order more food.
Khali vs Batista, believe it or not, i see this match potentially good!! LOL! i mean, as long as they wrest....hold on, as long as they perfo....damn it! ok, here we go: As long as they wreck (there you go!) more than 10 minutes, it should be fun to watch. I think the Bookie should be "How long will last Batista without injury himself" hehe!! I see "Dead Air Dave" making a huge spear for the win ("Did you see that John(JBL)??" "That was an insane Spear, by the former world champ, maybe he is sending a message Michael(Cole), and the message is: The animal... is ALIVE" (i should try the book this forum...) a Batista bomb would be Ridiculous, but hey, we are talking about these two...

Dark matches could include Chuck "I wannabe Taker" Palumbo vs Chris Masteroids, Kenny Dykstra vs Eugene, and other great matches....

What a Fuck!! I'm not going to break my streak of 7 PPV watched in a row, even when this one is not looking good...

Now looking at it I really think that John Cena is going to put ina great match with lashley. This could really be the best match we ever get to see out Lashley. Him and Cena both have the power game and this could make things really interesting. Cena is going to prove why he is the only persson that should be WWE champion. When he beats Lashley and I know he will in a tough battle as both are way more skilled then we all give credit. There no way Cena can make Lashley tap out as Lashley has the mat skill to counter it but Cena will get him an FU to retain in what shapening up as a classic match and maybe feud...

Then how about Batista and Khali. You have to feel bad for Batista here is guy that should be the WHC not facing Khali but ohwell. Batitsa will pull a decent match out of khali and it wont be a train wreck as Tista will carry Khali. Not the best match ever but Tista will win and make khali look good like Cena ddi awhile back.

i reckon the cm punk/nitro match is the best match of gab because here we have 2 young and upcoming stars who we havent seen the best of yet, the lashley/cena is way too predictable(we all know cena is going to retain) duh!!and i feel at this moment kane is not ready or deserved of the whc as edge's character is great to watch, hopefully this ppv wont be a downer like vengeance

GAB in the WWE has a history of been poor. the only highlights of this card is the ECW match (how bad is that t say how poor ecw has become) and Batista vs Kahli(now thats really bad!) I just hope that bastista an kahli provide a entertaining match, because we all know it will b bad, were jsut hoping it will b so bad its enjoyable

yeah it looks like the bad GAB history in wwe will continue..this card just doesnt interest me at all. first of all the "big main event" between lashley and super cena is too predictable cuz theres no way cena is losing the title at the GAB but i can see him possibly losing it to lashley down the line just not here.that match is not gonna be any good imo.now for that big ass trainwreck in batista and kahli thats gonna be really bad i think it might be a little better if they added some type of gimmick but being theres the texas bullrope match they probaly wouldnt add another. i expect batista to do pretty much what cena did and overcome odds spear kahli for the win but it could be a dq.the texas bullrope match is nothin special as dusty is old and not gonna be able to move around well but cody rhodes will get involved somehow.as for the candice michelle/melina match ill just use that for snack break as it will be nothin special but ill be sure to check them out though lol...edge/kane as much as i would love for kane to get a run with the title its wont happen as edge will continue with his "ultimate oppertunist" thing he has goin.the match of the night imo is the ECW title match as johnny nitro and cm punk can put on a pretty good match it will be interesting to see but i think nitro sneaks a win and that feud continues onto summerslam with punk winning the title there.im not gonna be ordering this one..i think ill just save up for summerslam

This is just a joke.All Great American Bash pay per views have been in my opinion.

ECW Championship.This is shaping up to be the only good looking match.Lets just hope they give ot the decent amount of time it deserves because they have been hyping it up.

yes the ECW match could be match of the night but i bet they just stick it right in the middle of the card and not give it proper time just like at vengeance..i think this can be a great match if they give them about 20 minutes it could easily steal the show after all it wont take much to steal the show on this ppv and the match has been hyped up well so far but we'll see what happens

I absolutely agree ECW can steal the show. It seems hypocritical to stick by the ECW brand but then UTTERLY bury it under the other two. Obviously they are going to concentrate on the other two, but they make it seem like it doesn't matter. I guess their match at Vengeance was so short because it was thrown in at the last minute. In my opinion, you give these guys 20mins+ and they will tear the house down. I think they've done the right thing keeping them out of each other's way leading up to it, everyone wants to see them actually face each other.

This year's Great American Bash should be awesome!! Despite the ECW matches getting cut short in past PPV's, this one should prove to be an awesome match. I also hope that the WWE has it set-up to where Bobby Lashley wins the WWE title. Not that I don't like Cena, he is good, but it would be good to see the 'uncrowned champion' get that crown.

No way is Lashley winning that match..but i almost forgot about another very interesting match the US title match between Hardy & MvP..i believe MVP will be dropping the title at the GAB to Hardy because it seems they keep hyping him up to be a great future main eventer and singles wrestler and i agree i think Hardy will be a great US champ and these two could put on a pretty good match as both are very talented..this and the ECW match are imo the two matches that i could see being very good but giving that they have to make sure Candice and Melina have a good long crap fight i dont believe they will give either match proper time but it will be interesting to see if Hardy claims gold..what do you guys think?

I find the Cena/Lashley main event interesting! In one match you've got the top two favorites of Vince McMahon. It will be interesting to see how he plays the match out. Here's how I figure it: if Cena retains the title it will be by DQ or interference., if Lashley wins the title it will be by some sort of interference; and then there's the possiblity of a double DQ or countout setting up a rematch at SummerSlam. Vince doesn't want either man to look bad, imo.

Here's what I hope goes down:

Cena get's ready to finish off Lashley with the FU, when "It's Time to Play the Game" starts to play. This causes Cena to put Lashley down as he looks for HHH. When HHH doesn't come out, he turns around into a Spear. 1,2,3...and new WWE Champion....Bobby Lashley.

This would lead to weeks of speculation as to who was responsible for playing the HHH's entrance music and costing Cena the title, was it HHH(could he be sending Cena a message that he's gunning for him) or was it someone else who has it out for Cena. This would take Cena away from the title hunt for awhile, while establishing Lashley as a legitimate Champion!

Anyway here's hoping for a Great (American Bash) PPV!

What if for once, Vince tried to surprise us and let Big Baby Face Lashley steal the win? I think it might really possible we see Triple H helping Bobby win and that would set up the table for his return.

Like everyone else I'm pretty anxious to see Punk against Nitro. I like 'em both, but I think Nitro will have the better hand and will keep the title. I don't think that he'll lose his title anytime soon, they'll let CM chase him for a long while.

As for Batista and Khali match, well, I think it might not be that bad. Some of you seem to have forgotten that Batista has been wrestling a bit better lately. So maybe, he'll surprise us.... My son is certainly looking forward to this match.... :=)

I don't really like women's match... I just love Melina's entrance....heheehe and the only thing they do are yelling and screaming. It's not really worth watching IMO.

AAAAAaH! and what about Edge and Big bad boy red machine Kane. There's no way in hell that Kane is gonna win this won. Edge is doing and awesome job as a heel champion, his promos (just like usual) are excellent, and we all enjoy the Rated R ERa. Well, I enjoy it a lot. This guy is amazing, I just wish they wouldn't let him look always so afraid all the time, but it's not that bad.

The cards done, there may be one more match added. I'm actually surprised, The WWE Bash cards are usually completed on the show before the PPV.

My Predictions:


WWE Champion John Cena vs. Bobby Lashley

What happens to Lashley if he doesn't win? I really think that that would just stop him dead. Cena can retain it next month. I think there's going to be a big gimmick match at Summer Slam, involving several wrestlers. So I'll go with a Lashley victory. I dont expect much from this match.

World Heavyweight Champion Edge vs. Kane

There's no way that Kane is winning. There's no way that Edge should loose. He'll just scrape by. I dont see why though. It will make Edge look weak, but it wouldn't hurt Kane to loose clean. I think this match will be decent, but nothing memorable.


ECW World Champion Johnny Nitro vs. CM Punk

I really think Punk will win. I think WWE will want to promote a straight edge wrestler. Then again I'm probably wrong. It should be a good match. But I think the fans will shit on it.

Women's Champion Candice Michelle vs. Melina

Couldn't give a shit. Phoenix and Hall are heels. So I'll go with Candice, to pick up the victory.

Dusty Rhodes vs. Randy Orton (Texas Bull Rope Match)

Not a fan of either. There's no way that Orton should loose. In Rhodes' last PPV match he got pinned by a member of the Spirit Squad. So if Orton looses it will be a real kick in the teeth. Orton victory. Terrible match.

United States Champion MVP vs. Matt Hardy

MVP is rappidly improving. This is the match that will steal the show. Not that there's much competition. I'm really looking forward to this. I dont care who wins. I'd be happy if Hardy won, but on the other hand I think MVP deserves longer with the title. I dont think Hardy will win though.

Batista vs. The Great Khali

I cant wait for this match. Seriously it's gonna rock. It will be so bad it's good. I predict that Batista will hurt himself, but pick up the victory.

This is going to be a seriously week PPV. Free in the UK though.

Out of this entire card I see two possible great matches but since its not a match involving the 5 moves champ Cena or the Roid Animal Batista they will be shorter than needed to make this a great PPV. The two of course are ECW championship and US championship matches.

In the ECW match I see nitro stealing one giving the feud a true kick start leading to an awesome Extreme Rules match at Summerslam. And in the US title match, I see this as the only possible 5 star match, I see Matt Hardy coming away with the title. If he does then the WWE is testing the waters to see how the crowd will react with Hardy as a major singles champ. If he doesn't then they are trying to make a great feud where Hardy will eventually win the title for the same reason.

Rest of card CRAP, bullrope match might be Ok (3rd best match on card)

I 'm going to do my predictions now as it looks done and if they add another match it be a pointless one

My Predictions:

WWE Champion John Cena vs. Bobby Lashley
Another match that Cena will win but prolly in a DQ. As if Lashly loses there what they do with him? I think a DQ or a double count with happen so they can have a rematch at Summerslam in a gimmick match. So Cena should walk out as champion.

World Heavyweight Champion Edge vs. Kane
Back in the past be a good match but nowadays no way. Kane will not win as I see Edge cheating to reatin or i hope WWE doesnt do this but they could a DQ on Edge. But Edge will walk out still champion

ECW World Champion Johnny Nitro vs. CM Punk
I really think Nitro will then they set up the match at Summerslam where Punk finally wins it. Should a good match and could be the MOTN. But i just see Nitro retaining for this time.

Women's Champion Candice Michelle vs. Melina
Its been done to death and well Jillian and Phoenix are heels so of course Candice will win.

Dusty Rhodes vs. Randy Orton (Texas Bull Rope Match)
Thi snothing but a match toget Dusty kid over and Dusty will lose setting a Cody vs Randy match at summerslam. Not a fan of this but no way Randy can lose would hurt him to much.

United States Champion MVP vs. Matt Hardy
MVP is really becoming something special in the ring. Hardy has been good but its MVP time and he should win hopefully clean be nice ot see that once in a while. This could another MOTN. But i do see this as a long on going feud.

Batista vs. The Great Khali
Horriable match that will look great do to the horriableness. Batista wins and get attacked by Khali afterwards

Another WWE PPV that i will not order
