[Official] Mr. McMahon Memorial Thread

I knew something was gonna happen because the way Vince walked out of the ring after saying "thank you" in a almost inaudible voice and then the cameraman (who was already backstage) filmed him walking from in front of him to tha backstage area where a lot of b-level superstars were lined up as if almost to see him off. And then Coach redirecting him to his limo and then all of a sudden the camereman was outside filming Vince walking out toward his limo LOL It all seemed too scripted. The Limo blowing up did catch me off guard but I knew by the way Vince's leg lingered out the door something was gonna happen. Also did anyone else notice that particular limo had no back window? I thought that alone was a tad odd as well. Lastly, if Vince was really in that limo there is NO WAY that would have aired as mch of the explosion they did. Stephanie would have pulled the plug on the "live" feed. The clue to all this as a script is the cameraman's position through all of this...

I almost pissed in my pants when I saw what happened at the end onf RAW. But I must say that this is a smart idea of the wwe. Who in professional wrestling has killed off a character? No one. This "Who dun it?" story line is going to be the "who shot jr?!" of professional wrestling. People are going to be tuning in to all of the shows just to get any kind of update which is going to equal up more ratings and money for the wwe. For the first time in a while, I'm actually looking forward to watching ECW and Smackdown this week. As for who dun it, I think it was eric bishoff lol

i too am quite a bit skeptical of this. for now yes, it keeps us interested and guessing. but itl clearly end w mcmahon alive. plus wel have to deal w tribute shows for awhile that no one will want bc itl disgrace ppl who really died. also all of your hopes of who supposedly did it will be dashed aside bc i guaruntee they wouldnt allow for a 'tna did it' storyline, and i also doubt theyd ever bring in a 46 year old has been like psycho sid to do that to vinnie mac. its also do demonic to have dx do it. and the undertaker is too much of a good guy. and lashley? come on. lashley couldnt have a good storyline with a talking piece of toast. when he talks, i almost hope that khali will interrupt him, bc even he makes more sense on a mic. (dont get me wrong. lashley is a great wrestler)

so im seeing either a stupid suicide angle. a really bad murder angle, or a mcmahon ghost angle where he possesses someone which cannot be good. maybe this will lead to an exorcism or something, but i hope not. im pretty sure itl just be a fake suicide angle though. but until they reveal that, the storyline should be pretty good.

Some wrestling fans are hard to please... Everyone is always complaining about how they want something socking and entertaining, and finally when it happens you people can't do anything but whine and cry about how stupid it was?!?! This was a very awesome RAW and the greatest ending to a Monday Night RAW in the history of the WWE. Now how do you follow up in storyline to an event like this? Maybe they really are done with the Mr. McMahon character... Maybe he'll come back claiming to be more powerful than god (like the higher-power angle)... Or maybe it will be something none of us will expect. Bottom line is, this is a taste of what the late 90's felt like with the shocking moments and the unbelievable occurrences. I love it.

Yea, it was definitely authentic. I mean he must be dead, because no-one in the WWE gives a shit and the draft is being promoted over his death. Definitely. [/sarcasm] Seriously though, what the hell is this? A homicide angle...!? Maybe they'll bring in Homicide from TNA and promote him as "the real Gringo Killah"! That'd be awesome. Not.

no, theyr gonna bring back sabu, since he is homicidal, and hes also "osama bin laden" according to mcmahon.

thatd be a pretty funny angle.

and hey, im happy that there was a diff ending to raw, im just not liking how itl end. it should be good until then though.

and for whoever is calling these people and asking them... come on. it was NOT REAL!

I'm more interested in the technical facts. Vince gets in the limo, but then his foot re-appears right before the boom. Either Vince got out the other side and the foot was a dummy, or he ducked under through a trap door. If the segment was not live, it could have just been done in post-production. I suspect either Vince set it up himself, or he will return injured or deformed and search for who done it, like the Austin/Rikishi angle. I thought the segment was cool, although I actually did feel kind of bad. What I mean is, I thought the fans might actually show appreciation. Everyone hates Mr. McMahon, but I thought fans and wrestlers just might get into it because of VINCE MCMAHON. I do appreciate what he's done with wrestling, but the segment was still well done. Something different, anyhow.

This is so idiotic. Why are people working themselves over this crap?

It's not as big as it really is. This is a low, low, way to try to stoop down and get ratings. Vince will appear at Vengeance to huge heat, just the way he wanted it to be. It all works out in the long run for him, because people are going to tune in to RAW to see what happens, and they're going to buy Vengeance for any breaking news.

This just reeks of WWE crap. It was a different turn then what they've been doing for the past few years, but it's not enough to change the face of Wrestling, like some people make it out to be.

How come NO ONE has picked the obvious choice:

PAUL HEYMAN!!!

Who else is PERFECT to "kill" Vince McMahon?! McMahon fired him I think twice on TV and in real life, but the inside stories say they want to bring him back as a heel manager or something like it...BUT think about all the reasons why Heyman would be perfect as the kayfabe killer:

1. Heyman doesn't like McMahon and the two have never seen eye-to-eye kayfabe AND real life, so people would buy the motive.

2. McMahon KILLED ECW in a brutal way with the lack of extreme matches, the New Breed wrestlers and the loss of the Originals RVD and Sabu, and especially the soft and sad way that ECW has come across. Heyman could want revenge for destroying his creation.

3. The man that brought the sadistic and extreme style to America has the perfect personality to blow up a limo Sopranos style...and he is from New York...(I'm from Brooklyn so I'm allowed to crack on the Mafia and NYC)

4. If Heyman was revealed as the sick, scheming killer of McMahon, imagine how much more he could get wrestlers over, especially if they allow him to re-do ECW in his image again, with a much more brutal style. The guys there now can handle it.

I would love it if in a few months, they reveal the evidence that Paul Heyman was the mastermind behind blowing the limo, but he found some way to acquire ECW (legal tie-ups with McMahon's will) and found a way to be untouchable by the law. I'm betting that Shane will be "left" RAW, Stephanie will be "left" Smackdown! and Heyman will con his way to "inherit" ECW.

P.S. - I ABSOLUTELY know the storyline is fake, so don't think I'm really thinking Paul Heyman is a murderer. I'm just predicting where I think this storyline will go.

I love it. It was a bit obvious it was set up though... why would, even being crazy and all, would he step in, then put his foot back out of the limo? I think he should come back in a few months maybe half a year as the higher power again lol. and have the undertaker come back from injury as the lord of darkness again lmao.

Interesting Raw, certianly wasn't expecting that!

That, I was.

Body not found then, haven't got a clue where this is going. But the Ghost of Vince is probably likely knowing the way WWE has been lately, I doubt even Stone Cold could think of a reasonable explanation as to why he car bombed a limo containing Vince McMahon.

How about having just a shred of optimism? Sure... WWE has been down since 2001, perhaps earlier or latter to some people... but WWE has always risen again. ALA The Attitude Era came from the mid 90's when most of the media thought wrestling was dead. Then BOOM!!! Austin 3:16 and wrestling is back on the scene. Of course, history lessons are on another thread all together.

Thing is, anybody hoping for a "turning point" in WWE sees that limo from last night as a shining beacon (no pun intended). Vinnie Mac is gone for the forseeable future and probably for good... so, what does this mean? Does it mean the whole damn show is getting overhauled? I could only wish...

Let me just say, if this is a new era then let me say ABOUT DAMN TIME!!!!!!!

I imagine the outcome will be more dissapointing than the Who ran over Stone Cold? storyline. Fuck me horrible thought. Rikishi might have done it. He's done it before that bastard. Then again it's peer pressure brought on by Triple H.

I like the fact that the McMahon being whacked angle comes at a time when half the world is furious with the series finale of the Sopranos. Laugh in the face of the mainstream, thats what WWE does best! Anyway, the question now is "whodunnit" and I vote Mick Foley!

That's crazy, Buc...I thought of literally the exact same Heyman storyline. That's what I'd like to see but imagine it will almost certainly be somebody like Shane, as long as it doesn't turn out to be a 'suicide attempt' to get people to appreciate McMahon. I'm actually interested in this angle, just very curious to see how it will work out if it's determined somebody attempted to 'murder' Vince. I mean, poeple get arrested and let go in wrestling storylines all the time, but how does an attempted murderer get free?

Apologies in case anyone's mentioned this before (no time to read 17 pages!) but I predict McMahon to come back hideously scarred, wearing some sort of mask, Mysterio returns to SmackDown! only to have McMahon accuse him of 'mocking him and his mask' leading to Mysterio v McMahon/representative of McMahon at Summerslam, all the while finding out who did it.

I think that the whole mcmahon thing will end up being the last we see of vince on tv. I think that he will let shane and steph handle the on screen stuff. I also think that the who dunit part will be a shock. I dont know who but it will be a swerve as to who it is in my opinion.

why do yall keep bringing psycho sid up... he's the worst... and if he comes back ill will be super pissed especially if he's involved with this angle...

#1 Off topic.

#2 Sig's too big.

#3 Infraction for you.

The draft that was to take place tomorrow has been cancelled it will now take place on Sunday. I expect a big In Memory show for him this week on Smackdown. Like they did with Eddie but in poor taste.

I know who did it! It was Viktor Kozlov! he was pissed Vince nixed his push so he got the Russian mafia on his ass!

Seriously though, whether you like this angle or not (and personally, I don't see how you can't like it, it was unexpected, it was original, it was controversial), it got people talking. 170 posts + of people talking.

And as much as people are speculating what will happen, no one knows for sure until they do it. So criticize the angle if you must, but you have no base to do this until you see where it goes.

And like I said, it got the people talking, and that's the point!!

Anybody else just realize that they're calling this a car bombing? Wow...that is so stupid I can't even begin to fathom it.

A car bombing...in the midst of the Iraq War when almost all casualties are killed by car bombs....wow. Just wow. Great taste Vince, really.

I still dig it though, I don't care what Jonny says, theres no fuckin way in hell anybody could've predicted that, no way.

Perhaps more tasteless and stupid then the whole Katie Vick Storyline. So seriously, they are running a car bombing angle in the middle of the Iraq War. Way to go sensitive creative team. In fact, how about it be Muhammad Hassan with his group of terrorist coming back from the dead from when the Taker killed them, to exact his revenge on the American Pig McMahon.

Seriously, this is just plain stupid shit, there is no other way to describe it. Besides the fact the ending was a complete rip off from the Soprano's the night before with the mystery death thing. The creative team couldn't even wait 24 hours before they ripped something else off. This is the sign of things to come, we are in for a long couple years at least.

Seriously, this is one of the worst angles ever. I'm guessing it's going to be a Vince plan to make everyone say something nice about him next week, and he'll be back in a month after enough people feel sorry for him and say nice things, just tasteless and ridiculous.

This is a kick ass angle right here. I was watching it last night thinking what are they trying to get across with this ending then all of a sudden BOOM!!!!!! Vince gets whacked. I was stunned and it was unpredictable.

It is entertaining in the fact that it caught many people by surprise like me, but that as about as far as it goes. Honestly, it was a rip off of the Soprano's (btw wasnt too found of the ending) and when they have McMahon come it will make the whole thing looks stupid and poorly done. Really as you have a guy that survived that explosion in good condition I bet and that really brings down what they were trying to do.

It will lead to people tuning in and maybe buying Vengeance but not much else as like most storylines latly they have ended badly and makes you go, " what the hell is creative doing?" Just seems like a real desperate attempt for exposure in the media.
