Official List of Banned WWE Terms Sent Out to International Voice-Over Workers

What? What the fuck?

the name of the show dont fuckin matter, its still the show.

People lose sight of that. A lot.

Well, of course. All I'm saying is discussion is discussion, in the end it doesn't make a difference what the fuck was being discussed on a wrestling forum, it's all the fucking same.

We're all just killing time till we die.

When the quality of the show spirals down the drain while I'm being bombarded by promos for shitty outside projects like movies and the like, I feel neglected as a customer.

aye, perfectly reasonable.

Stands to my logic that anyone who is so outraged by the changing of some terminology for no practical reason to the point were they quit watching is just as superficial as the individuals responsble for the changes?

It's still the WWE.

It's still wrestling to us.

Nothing has changed. They've been using the term Sports Entertainment for 15 fucking years now. There is absolutely nothing new in this whatsoever.

Every once in a while someone will slip up and say wrestler on air, but it's been nearly non existent as is.

But I am waiting for Triple H to take over, my God I never thought I would say that. I'm so pumped to see what he can do with his mind for the business.

That's a fine way of looking at things, NorCal, but the banned terms represent part of a larger problem that makes my blood boil. I have serious doubts that your boy Triple H will be continuing down this same path when Vince bites it.

In a lot of ways, I reckon Triple H will be both more laid back than Vince and more of an old school wrestling guy.

I have those very same doubts, another reason why I couldnt give a fuck less about all this

Uh, maybe you are. Have fun with all that.

It's the truth, whether you're a crack head bum on the side of the street or the President of the Unites States, it doesn't make a difference, both are simply passing the time until they die. So we'll both have fun killing time until we die, I know I am, and I'm sure you will too.

I'll have fun bitching about the topic of the thread, you'll have fun bitching about the people bitching in the thread.

People who don't watch the WWE probably don't have a positive opinion of wrestling and a lot of it WAS the Attitude Era's fault.

I find it hard to blame an entire era, especially when that era was as popular as the one you're bashing.

I hope you're right.

My favorite aspect of this is Vince's hypocrisy. Last November I believe Vince was FREAKING over people not being allowed to wear WWE gear to the voting polls, claiming it was censorship? Even to the point where he suit Connecticut and gave out free WWE merchandise near the polls? I guess censorship is ok when it's trying to get him precious mainstream acceptance.

This doesn't mean anything as we've heard most of these changes already. The reasoning behind them is eye rollingly stupid as Vince isn't going to be accepted by the mainstream media no matter what he does but he keeps changing things anyway. This is like when PETA wanted fish to be called Sea Kittens but not as funny.

Not sure if people are still talking about this or if they've moved on, but what I've gleaned from the few posts that I read is it's another case of the IWC acting incredibly offended about something that doesn't matter and won' even be noticed 95% of the time. For example, is there anyone who really notices the fact they don't say "strap" anymore?

Ho hum news, move on.

I think the last time I remember hearing someone say strap in wrestling as a term for belt was Nash in 99.
