Official: Lance Cade gets Axed by the WWE in the Middle of a Push; Go figure

Didn't see this coming, but I did find it wierd the night before that Cade wasn't at ringside for Jericho, and it wasn't the first time. I'm jumping on the bandwagon that says "Drugs caused the seizure" because I simply can't think of any other reason a seizure would be considered a big enough "mistake" to get fired. I can see rumors of Cade in rehab in the next few weeks, but I don't think we'll be seeing him in the WWE again. Very rarely do people get two chances, let alone three.

Well thank goodness. Now I dont have to see his stupid face wasting this gigantic push anymore. There are many more who would do much more with it. Cade couldnt draw heat if he ran into a burning building. He has gotten arguabley the biggest push of ANYONE this year, and has not elevated himself even the slightest bit.

And please people, fucking learn how to read and comprehend the english language. It quite clearly says that he made a huge mistake, which RESULTED IN A seizure. Meaning he DID SOMETHING, which then CAUSED HIM to have a seizure. IE he was doing drugs, on, or before a flight. Im not sure how people can get that mixed up, but everyone has seemed to. He fucked up, and got sent packing for it.

Well ladies and Gentlemen NorCal and Slyfox was right. It seems that Cade was abusing Perscription Painkillers and they caused him to have a seizure. Here's the article from the main sight if anyone's interested.
New information has surfaced concerning the sudden release of WWE Raw superstar Lance Cade last week. According to a new report released by Jason Powell of prowrestling.net, abuse of prescription drugs appeared to be a major catalyst for the seizure Cade had during a flight with colleague Lillian Garcia. Generally, WWE would suspend wrestlers who are found abusing prescription drugs for 30-60 days, however, considering the abuse in Cade's case resulted in a potentially life threatening seizure, they decided to terminate his contract as they felt the situation was much more grave than any others they have dealt with in the past.

Following the seizure, Lillian Garcia informed flight attendants that Cade was a professional wrestler, and he was rushed to a hospital as soon as the plane landed. He was reportedly still incoherent while at the hospital, and the medical staff ran a battery of tests to determine if the injury was athletic as opposed to drug related. Of course this report is now indicating that drug abuse may have played a key factor in this potentially deadly seizure.
All i can say about this is that it doesn't surprise me that he was let go. Yeah they usuaually give you 3 strikes but there has never been a case like this where someone could have died. He wasn't that great in the ring, but I hope he gets everything sorted out and we see him back in the ring again. (TNA or WWE It diesn't matter which)

I think the WWE were right in releasing him as they couldn't afford to have him have another seizure. I don't get why a lot of wrestlers abuse their prescriptions as in this case, it could kill them.

I'd like to see him back in the WWE just as long as he keeps himself clean and drug-free as he looked very promising and was about to have a major push

With this new revelation, I feel that the WWE did the right thing in releasing him. He almost died because of an overdose on medical drugs, which is a lot more serious than simply violating the Wellness policy. They couldn't risk him having another life threatening seizure, so they let him go. It'll probably do him good to rest for a while anyway.

Maybe in a few months or in a year he could come back and get another push, see where it takes him this time. This may have been an accidental overdose for all we know, and the WWE would have no reason not to bring him back if that is the case. I hope for his sake that he starts wrestling again soon, he looked promising and I believe he could've been a good asset to the WWE.
