I actually enjoyed this week's edition of ECW, other than Big Daddy V's man mellons, of course. However even that segment was well done and brought back a feeling of the good old days of wrestling to me for some reason. Just felt like it was well done.

But all the matches got enough time, considering it was a one hour show, and seeing Stevie Richards and Guido not only get a match but get a little bit of offense in and show that they're still worth something in WWE today pleased me.

Obviously the Extreme Rules match was great too, always good to see Dreamer get a main event.

If you ask me, ECW's not doing so bad, the product is pretty good, the young guys on the show have bright futures ahead of them and it's nice to see Stevie Richards, Tommy Dreamer and Guido get TV time, even if they lose their matches. It's not old school ECW, but who cares? It gets the job done and it's entertaining.

yeah i felt ecw was entertaining this week aswell and i was pleased to see stevie richards get the win because he is a talented wrestler.big daddy v segment was all you could expect but i think wwe is getting the reaction they want from the crowd.looks like this cm punk + morrison fued will go on until summerslam when hopefully cm punk will get the belt.then i think big daddy v will probly challange for it.

Yeah ECW was pretty good this week. I liked the fact that Big Stevie Cool got an upset on Kevin Thorne and Guido losing to The Miz pissed me off, actually Miz just pisses me off in general, and then he had to dance.. Damn it it made me mad. I also liked the fact that Big Daddy V squashed thoes guys. It was a good squash match and they are getting him over in a very old school manner by having him come in and just destroy local talent. They still need to cover up his tits. I unfortuantley fell asleep durong the main event...

Not a bad ECW this week. I was stunned when Stevie Richards actually won against Thorn. I figured he would just get squashed quickly. Big Daddy V in a quick squash that the crowd seemed to love. Its pretty hard to sit threw one of his matches with those d cups flying around but anyway they are getting him over in a good way if only he could get rid of Striker. Miz...is just an idiot that bores me and his dancing was terrible worse than Kelly Kelly's. The Main Event was a decent regular tag Dreamer got beat around then Punk came in to clean house looks like they might be setting up Morrison and Punk rematch for SS. Overall not a bad show this week

Yeah I agree, I was completely shocked when Stevie Richards actually won a match! Obviously it was the point because the WWE we were expecting a squash match where Thorn wins. It gave me a huge smile. I liked the opening segment with John Morrison. As a matter in fact, I think I'm more behind the new ECW champion John Morrison than the soft spoken furry red carpet style Johnny Nitro. It's good to see a show revolving around some actual good talent that are the future of the industry.

Above all, ECW was good. Just like CM Punk said in an interview, it IS the best brand. Just because it's not a replica of the old ECW promotion doesn't mean it's shit, which some might use that as a stereotype.

idk what went down with The Miz this week. A 2 minute commercial break isn't long enough for me to use the toilet and get something to eat so yeah....

I was also amazed that Punk and Dreamer won as I would have thought they would use these 2 great wrestlers to make Nitro I mean Morrison look good.

I dont see what all the fuss is about Morrison he has a bad gimmick and I hate his matches they are awful not to mention hes just as big an Idiot as the Miz.

Imagine if Morrison was to take on Cena Raws Champ or Khali Smackdowns Champ hed have no chance at least Dreamer could do some Extreme on them or Punk could out wrestle both of them!

I know Miz is an Idiot so they should just have him make an ass of himself every week, so we can laugh at him and love it when he gets beat OR have Miz stop being an Idiot somehow as WWE have the money to do this and then have him go for the Cruiserweight Belt and give him a new gimmick.

Although i hate Big V have to admit at least they are trying to make him something! Just put a Pink shirt on him and then Each Week he could wear a different shirt and Tazz and Styles could guess what colour it would be its daft but at least better than his TITS hangin out.

im only gonna do Partial review as i only caught the last match and i say it was a good match to cath i thougt all of them put alot of effort into it and i liked all of the flase finishes that they put into the match dreamer didnt look bad at all with the newer guys in the ring and he did what he needed to do to make this match better.

and as a side note they really do need to censor big daddy v's moobs

Tonight was my first time watching ECW in a very long time and tonight I was quite impressed. Here are my thoughts...

-I love everything about John Morrison except for that corny theme song he has. Johnny's mic skill have improved since he started to use this new gimmick. Nitro was so soft spoken but Morrison has a little more edge in his voice.

-Tommy Dreamer has gained alot of weight. While he was talking to Morrison, he was tired after the first sentence.

-CM Punk is way over with the crowd and I can see why. The guy is awesome.

-Elija Burke is a great young superstar in his own right. The way he talks is annoying IMO but his in ring skills can make up for that.

-All the Ice Cream, I ate during the first half of the show came back up when Big Daddy V made his appearance. Seriously, how many bottles of baby oil did it take to cover viscera's entire upper body? That is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen since Mae Young went topless at Royal Rumble 2000.

-I miss Aerial standing ringside while managing Kevin Thorn. Damn you Stephanie.

-The Main event was the best match I've seen on ECW, RAW, or SD! in a long time. Several near falls and the floating elbow by Burke was just magnificent. Too bad RAW cant generate that kind of action. And it is supposed to be the top brand.

Overall I give the show an B. I would of gave it an A- but first they need to censor big daddy v's moobs.

Well not too bad of an ECW this week although it was nothing great but I don't expect to see a fantastic show in only an hour.

The weekly squash- Boogeyman looks even more ridiculous than before coming out with a wig?...new look same great waste. Boring squash. Big Daddy D cups comes out for a pounding not to mention a botched chokeslam twice. *yawn*

Elijah Burke vs Tommy Dreamer- A short ok match,nothing great. Just Tommy putting Elijah over again.

The Miz-Wow this guy pulled a Cena comes out says the same thing he already did the for the past month.Boring match. Interesting aftermath. It seems Kelly feels sad for Balls.


Backstage Stevie segment- Boring. Just going along with the feud. Hope Stevie whips that joke Thorns ass.

15 Minutes of Fame- Sadly, I didn't catch alot of this match but from what I seen it looked pretty solid. A few botches near the end by Morrison. It was quite obvious that Punk was going to get the win or run the clock out as there isn't any other worthy challengers at the time. Hopefully the match at SS will be better than the previous one at the GAB.

The Good: The main event from what I saw. ECW actually puts on more consistent main events than either RAW or SD!. Thats what I like about the show.

The Bad: The Miz,he's god awful and surely everyone knows why. Boring match. Hell Balls can outwrestle Miz. It's a shame he has to job to such a peice of shit as Miz. Get this assclown off TV.

Overall- Not a terrible show as it is ECW and you shouldn't expect anything HUGE. But still it wasnt bad. Last weeks was more entertaining IMO. I'm sure the main event this week was decent. Just keep Miz off TV and i'd give it an A no matter how bad it is. B.

I agree with everything you said except for one thing, Balls Mohoney cannot outwrestle anyone. The Miz looks like Kurt Angle next to Balls. There is no point in having him on TV or wrestling newcomers as it will only hurt their growth. Balls is so bad he shouldn't even be allowed to watch wrestling.

Overall like Afan said the show was solid as it can fit as many matches in one hour as RAW does in two.

ECW Review 8-14

Wow,LMAO is about all I can say that can describe this week's show.

Opening- I didn't see the first 15 mins of the show. But seeing Estrada as GM now is great. Good choice to get Estrada back on TV should be entertaining and will spice up the show a bit.

CM Punk vs Big Daddy D Cups- Ok WTF is up with this match. There isn't any sense in getting your fucking number one contender counted out to such a lump of shit like Big Daddy V. Dumb booking and shit match. It just didn't make any sense.

Big Daddy V vs Dreamer- What a waste. Dreamer should just quit WWE. He's been treated like shit and is nothing more than a jobber anymore. Big V I guess is going to be getting a long monster push that should lead to him being fed to Johnny Boy on RAW later in the year. Dumb to have Big V hog up half the show. Waste of time and he still isn't over.

Balls,Miz,Kelly's fine ass- LMAO I find this pretty funny that Kelly has a thing for Balls. Miz looked like an idiot again tonight. Just another segment. Yawn.

Kevin "The Joke" Thorn vs Stevie-lol,this match sucked and is exactly what I expected. Thorn to squash Stevie but the reversal of the decison is BS. Alot of the reffing and finishes tonight were BS. I'm sure we will be seeing this once again next week or after. Yawn. Boring.

Morrison vs Boogeyman- Just a match to set up SNME. Morrison is quite botchy and doesn't sell very well. He has a bit of improving to do but that's what ECW is for. Boring match it dropped the ball from the past 3 main events on the show. But Good lord WTF is up with the tag teams for SNME Boogey/Punk...HAHAHAHAHAHA...Morrison/V. I've gotta see this.

The Good: Estrada as GM- good choice should be entertaining
Kelly Kelly- Lookin good as always. Hottest Diva Ever! IMO

The Bad: Thorn vs Richards- OK this is getting boring. Get rid of this feud and send Stevie back to jobbing. Thorn is a joke and gets 0 reaction from the fans and is bad in the ring.

The Ugly- The show. First-Big Daddy V hogs up half the show and nobody gives a rat's ass about him..2nd-Terrible booking. At least put a little bit of effort into your shows WWE Terrible Finishes as well. 3rd- This Mcmahon child thing apperantly is going to be alot like the limo incident. It all revolves around him. This angle is going to be alot like Cena. The more you shove it down our throats. Most will lose interest(people know that Kennedy is going to be it anyways.)Keep the angle on RAW don't hog it up on all the other shows as well. It gets annoying.

Overall- Since it is ECW I take it light on the rating so I give it a C

Big Wes pretty much said all that needed to be said..this might have been the worst ECW since its "rebirth"..it was pretty bad....and inconsistent..and nonsensical (what is with the refs reversing a decision for the SECOND time this year on ECW because of a beating after the match??!?)

Kelly Kelly is alright..shes more of a girl next door than a WWE Diva...and the acting by Extreme Expose + Miz + Balls...is so bad..its almost hilarious.

Only good part was the PROMISE of some sort of direction by having AAE be named the GM. Nice choice.

I...unlike my previous reviewer have higher standards for even THIS ECW brand..so ill give it a D-

I liked ECW for the sheer fact that it was pretty unpredictable which hasn't been seen in the WWE for quite a while now.

Who would've guessed that AAE would be GM of ECW? It was a shocker move and brings promise to a nearly defunct brand.

Also, despite me hating how the Boogeyman and Big Daddy V went over the top 2 contenders in ECW I did like how it was unpredictable.

CM Punk and Morrison cut a nice promo to kick off the show and Stevie picking up another win was a mark out moment.

Punk is argubly the face of ECW and is the #1 contender and you book him to lose they way he did? IMO it made him look weak. I understand they are building V up to be a main eventer monster but like Mark Henry nobody cares about Vis nor have they ever. I could go on and on about this dumbass decison. It just doesn't make any sense.

As for unpredictability this show was very predictable when you take away some dumbass finishes. I expected Thorn to squash Stevie this week as well as Dreamer to put over V. The problem is: WWE Creative is known for making stupid ass decisions like this. Punk is the face of ECW and I'm at least glad he didn't lose clean. When Punk inevitably wins the ECW title from Morrison, Big Daddy V will be the number one contender.

I shutter to think of Boogeyman/Morrison/Punk/Big Daddy V fatal fourway for the title at Unforgiven.

Boogeyman is horrible. I like Booker's gimmick better and thats really saying how much I hate Boogeyman. His in ring skills suck. The match with him vs. Morrison sucked. How many spots will Morrison miss before they take the spotlight off of him? This match was the sloppiest Morrison match ever. CM vs. Big V was bad too. The wheel kick that sent Punk out for the count was way off and if you were looking at it from the opposite angle, you wouldve seen that the kick was way way off. ok it is a big fat guy doing a wheel kick, but it was the finish. he botched the finish. Big V should not be fighting Punk. and Morrison should not be fighting the boogerman. The Stevie vs. Thorn match made me sick mainly because of the ref reversing the decision. That isnt ECW, thats....well i dont know what that is....it isnt even a caliber of garbage that could be identified with the normal WWE garbage... it was much much worse.... the decision was reversed for such a small thing.... there have been much much worse post-match beatings that did not result in a reversal of decisions. this was one of the worse "ECW" shows so far.... if thats even possible....

i agree completely with this they need to get Tommy Dreamer off the jobbing lina and have him winning some serious matches. However i think the miz and the boogey man played there roles well in a pretty good match. highlight of the night though Miz taking a GTS

Ok, I'll go along with some of your arguments, but doesn't it bother you that RAW and Smackdown have a bunch of jobbers, but when someone needs to go over on ECW its always Dreamer getting handled.

Also, Balls finally got a win, but come on, against Burke. Burke is a future star and Balls is one of the worst wrestlers ever, in my opinion. Remember two weeks ago when the Miz destroyed Balls in 3 minutes? So Miz can beat Balls easily but Burke can't. Seems a bit off to me.

For the record I usually love ECW.

Only good part of the show was the final match, it wasnt amazing, but it advanced the storyline and made Morrison look strong and Punk look strong at the same time.

Everything else..well..pretty much sucked

What was entertaining about a squash match, that squashed one of the few main event level guys on the show for yet ANOTHER monster heel? It was too short and while it led up to a nice table spot...the match was so anticlimactic (you knew who was gonna win, and he was dominating throughout the match), it didnt make a big splash.

Yeah, Balls finally got a win, and in order to have a fued, both sides have to eventually win..but...AGAINST BURKE!? the "future of ECW" as McMahon put it, people have beaten Balls (no pun intended) for months, but Burke cant? i mean come on, and also he needs more athletic competition i think, it doesnt seem right seeing Burke have to slow down for Balls.

ECW Review-Last night(whatever it was)

Opening- O wait..We really didn't have one. Great to see Estrada though. He's fucking awesome.

Big Daddy D Cups vs Tommy Jobber- Dreamer's dreams are being bashed. Once again Big V delievers another snooze of a match. Since it was Extreme Rules I expected V to pound Dreamer's ass but at least for 10 minutes. Samoan drop through the table was really the only highlight. Boring. This is a monster push for V and yet the crowd and myself as well could give 2 shits about the guy. Johnny Boy I think we have found your monster after Snitsky...

Vince McMahon has no balls- This was actually a pretty funny segment. I liked the CM Punk one better though. The backstage segments for the child thing are unrealistic and quite boring. This one was short though hopefully they keep it that way.

Burke vs Mahoney- LOL! Creative sucks. Thats all I have to say about this one. Fuck You WWE. Even though the match wasn't bad the ending was just stupid.

Kelly Kelly & Brooke- These 2 deserve their own spot in my weekly reviews. Both looked damn good last night. Balls your a lucky sumbitch to even get to stand by Kelly Kelly and Miz...Fuck him.

Stevie/Thorn- This is being dragged on too long IMO. It's time to hurry up and let Thorn bury Stevie in a squash. This match is bound to happen again. So I guess we get to see a squash next week.

CM Punk Owns Vince- easily the segment of the night. Punk shut Vince up.

Punk/Boogey vs Morrison/Miz- This match really wasn't all that bad. Better than the tag matches RAW and SD! put on easily. Miz sucks so does Boogey but they really weren't that bad last night. Punk nailed the GTS then Morrison nailed whatever it is. So I'm guessing that means Punk will take the gold at SS. Finally. Good match.

Burke losing to Mahoney. Yeah give him a big push then let him get beat by an unatheltic sack of shit. Way to use your younger talent WWE.

Overall-B- The main event was surprisingly good and the show wasn't all that bad a step up from last weeks but not as good as the last 2 in July.

I Look forward to the Punk/Morrison. Hopefully it gets the time it deserves instead of just being thrown in the middle of that card for 10 minutes. I see Punk taking the gold and moving onto a long reign. Morrison will get a rematch at Unforgiven though. Should be one of the better matches at SS.
