ECW Matches for tonight:-

Sabu vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Test in a Triple Threat Match

Should be a good match. I've liked Test since he's returned. Sabu and Rob Van Dam have been very sloppy as of late. I think it show's through in there work that there not happy.

ECW Result's 19/12/06

ECW World Champion Lashley def. Rene Dupree
The Great Khali def. "The Reject" Shannon Moore
Test def. Rob Van Dam & Sabu in a Triple Threat Match
Matt Striker def. Balls Mahoney

2nd January 2006

The only confirmed match is Rob Van Dam vs. Lashley for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship.

I expect a D.Q. finish with R.V.D. turning heel.

I also expect another match between C.M. Punk and Hardcore Holly. Punk deserves so much more than a feud with Holly. For someone so over I would expect them to put him in a more meaningfull feud.

ECW on Sci-fi 01-02-07

I liked the fact that a lot of the originals were on the show like the FBI, Sabu, RVD, Dreamer, and Balls Mahoney although the FBI, Balls, and Sabu lost. We even got a Sandman promo. I enjoyed the fact that Dupree, Khali, Striker, and Moore weren't in action. It's interesting the little feud Armstrong and Tazz got going, Tazz is great with building heat on the mic as he's done with Styles and King. I wonder if he feels threatened by Armstrong taking his job soon or if it's all fun and games. I know that the position Taz is in, WWE won't rehire him if they have someone to replace him but to ECW faithful Taz is an important part of ECW history and I wish he could stay; at the same time it's probably in his best interest to go. Tazz was doing the ECW shows on WWE 24/7 by himself and recently he has been accompanied by Styles maybe it's just a matter of time. I'm ok with what they are doing to Test as long as he doesn't interfere in a possible RVD win for the ECW title. I hope he doesn't defeat a ECW original next week. Let's put him up against Sandman and have the Sandman give him a lesson from Singapore. Let's get Sabu back on the ball next week, he hasn't won a match in a while. Balls got creamed by Thorn and that didn't look like something planned, that looked bad. Another ECW original suffers at the hands of a new breed wrestler. No Punk which is ok I guess, he needed a week off. No Knoxx, I wonder if they are going to build Knoxx Punk at all or if they are going for Hardcore Holly and Punk instead. I see where they are going with Dreamer and Khali, I hope Dreamer gets rid of Khali once and for all. Khali has no business in wrestling . I know that CW Anderson is hurt but I can't help but believe he is the next to go, WWE will never seriously push him. Luckily RVD didn't job to Lahley but it wasn't a very good finish either. It was a nice move from RVD but it wasn't a move to take them out of the match. They are going to build up a rematch and it's a shame that they'll make RVD job since it is apparent WWE has no interest in re crowning RVD with the ECW World Heavyweight Title. I might be wrong, the fans are showing RVD a lot of support and Vince is not crazy about having him jump ship. The show was ok in all. it's just that they continue making the originals look bad.

did anyone else notice taz and styles looking down at something on the 'desk' every time they were showed on camera behind the ring? you could plainly see they weren't really watching the matches. wtf were they doing ? reading off a teleprompter?

they were watching off the monitors all the annoucers do it so they can commentate on what is shown on the live feed

Preview:New year for the new breed
January 9, 2007

In a momentus kick-off to another extreme year, ECW World Champion Lashley and Rob Van Dam met in an exhaustive, yet indecisive encounter on ECW on Sci Fi. As Lashley and RVD fervently sought to retain and reclaim the gold respectively, a high-risk manuever from Van Dam drove both men crashing hard to the arena floor, forcing the referee to stop the match. Will these Extremists finish what they started this week on next week's edition of ECW on Sci Fi? Is this just the start of a brand-new, highly competitive rivalry for 2007?

Next week on ECW on Sci Fi, ECW fans will see a heated collision between CM Punk and Hardcore Holly. For weeks, the issue between Holly and the straightedge has escalated - from a tap-out challenge to an attack from behind by the Alabaman Extremist. Neither man has been able to score a clean victory over the other in singles action. Can CM Punk make Holly tap to the Anaconda Vise? More importantly, can either of these combatants leave this match intact next week?

Also, a recovering Tommy Dreamer spoke out on ECW on Sci Fi following the ghastly attack by The Great Khali weeks ago. After nearly being crippled by the Punjabi monster, Dreamer proclaimed that he would be back. When will we see the ECW Original back in an ECW arena? Will the menace of Khali and Daivari continue? If so, who is the next body to fall in their path?

Find out next week as ECW comes to you live at 10/9 CT only on Sci Fi.

Punk had better beat Holly decisively so he can move on to better thing's. Holly was given a main event push with Lesnar three year's ago and he did'nt have the talent or charisma to succede then and he's dragging Punk down now.

Holly should be used the same way as Scotty 2 Hotty and Val Venis are. Whenever they debut a new star they should let them destroy Holly to get the other superstar over.

Result's 9th January

Hardcore Holly def C.M. Punk (Clean W.T.F.?)
The Great Khali def Tommy Dreamer in an Extreme Rules Match
Kevin Thorne def Shannon Moore
Lashley and R.V.D. went to No Contest.

Confirmed match's for this week's ECW show are a triple threat world title match between R.V.D., Test and Lashley.

I think there will be another inconclusive finish which will lead to a remach at the Rumble.

On one side they aren't really burying RVD, he hasn't won cleanly in his last few battles with Lashley but he hasn't lost either. Even the match with Sabu, RVD, and Test RVD wasn't pinned. The fans want Sabu in the mix but Vince and ECW creative apparently don't. What WWE plans to do with the ECW title is still up in the air although we can assume that RVD isn't getting the title based on his marijuana incident and his refusal to go to Iraq. They may want to put it on Test after seeing how Lashley in my opinion isn't really doing the job. I think it was too early to put the title on Lashley and Test isn't really ready yet either. The only reasonable person at this point to put the title on would be RVD but if the rumors are true RVD won't get it because he's going to the Indies circuit or TNA. If Mcmahon buries the hatchet and decides to let the fans get what they want for once in ECW, and let RVD win the title then that would be the best thing for ECW now. That is not to say that the heel can’t win, but for now let RVD get what he’s earned before he earns gold for another company. The fans are undoubtedly behind RVD 100% and that would be a step in the right direction. My hopes of ECW even being close to what it once was are gone; I was probably one of the last dumb optimistic fans left. Striker coming over made me sick to my stomach and the misuse of ECW originals is pathetic other than the Sandman but even he hasn't been close to the gold in ECW. I don't expect the title to change hands on Sci-fi but I would like to see it change hands at the Rumble and would hope that Mcmahon shows RVD he doesn't want him to jump ship to TNA and that will make it worth his while if he stays in ECW. This past week the match wasn’t bad until you could tell that Lashely was awaiting to be hit by Test from behind. I’m not exactly sure what ECW creative has in plans for The Extreme Championship Wrestling World Heavyweight Title; this Tuesday there will not be a clear cut winner either and the title will stay on Lashley.

Result's 16th January 07

CM Punk def. Matt Striker
"The Alpha Male" Marquis Cor Von def. a local
Elijah Burke def. Sandman
ECW World Champion Lashley def. Rob Van Dam & Test (Triple Threat Match)

Why did they have Monty Brown go to ECW when that's the only show with a real strong main event scene. The thing with ECW is with it only being an hour all the main star's make it onto the show, it's the mid card that's noexistant. They should have sent him to Smackdown or even Raw with HHH being out injured.

ECW Is getting worse, and worse and worse....

I mean come on, monty brown, as a alpha male or something like that, in ECW!? No build up, No hype, rene dupree had much more and really..... Vince, sort it out.

The following is from ECW.com:

Threat to the crown
January 23, 2007

ECW.com has learned that ECW on Sci Fi will be headlined by Lashley as he battles the rugged, smash-mouth Alabaman Hardcore Holly in an Extreme Rules Match. As announced on ECW.com last week, Lashley is scheduled to defend the ECW World Title at the Royal Rumble against Test - the man who battered the champion with his own title last week.

Can Lashley even make it to the Rumble after this contest with the relentless Holly? Will Test strike again, just days before his championship bout on Sunday? How far will Test go to gain what he thinks is rightfully his?

ECW Result's 23rd January 07

Rob Van Dam def. Kevin Thorn, Sabu, Tommy Dreamer and Sandman in an Over the Top Rope Challenge
Marcus Cor Von def. Local
CM Punk def. Elijah Burke
ECW World Champion Lashley def. Test

Notes from ECW On Sci-Fi:

Did anyone else notice RVD and Kevin Thorn talking in the ring during their match last night? One of them clearly said "I'll try to throw you out" to the other.

Marquis Cor Von's first name has been changed to Marcus, and he is now billed as being from Detroit, MI instead of "The Animal Kingdom". Putting Monty Brown here was a bad move - I wonder if he now regrets signing with WWE.

Pointless filler because we have nothing better to do, a.k.a. Kelly's Expose. When is McMahon going to realize that pro wrestling fans are not all horny 13 year old boys?

The best part of CM Punk / Elijah Burke was Striker's commentary - perhaps he should be part of the team full time. Too many rest holds and McMahon's restrictive style held back these two talented wrestlers. Boring, predictable finish. At least it wasn't another lame Kelly Kelly distraction.

Boring main event from two big guys that are the antithesis of extreme. With Test putting Lashley over, it's safe to say that we can expect the opposite outcome at the PPV, with Test becoming the new ECW Champion. It will be the only World Title to change hands at the Rumble - I would love to see Mr. Kennedy take the belt off that loser Batista's hands, but McMahon wouldn't do that to his beloved musclehead, now would he? And Umaga? Even McMahon is too smart to put the WWE Championship around a guy that gets the Charlie Haas Pop.

ECW Preview 30th January.

After all was said and done at the Royal Rumble, Bobby Lashley remained ECW World Champion when he defeated Test by count-out. This week on Sci Fi, the two men will meet again for the ECW World Title in a Royal Rumble rematch. Will Lashley once again get the best of the Impact Player, or will Test's quest for the gold come to its climax?

Also, Mr. McMahon will make his first-ever appearance on ECW on Sci Fi Tuesday night, as he apparently plans to continue his Fan Appreciation Night. What does The Chairman have in store for the ECW fans?

Ok so the ECW originals beat up on Burke in front of Vince. While ECW is long dead, i kind of felt Vince was teasing the fans in that moment. He knew that fans were watching WSX and that could explain the ECW original revolt we saw tonight

no they r doin the same thing they did with cena they want to buils suspense as to who he is going to face at wrestlemania
did anyone else think that rvd vs. holly was a very solid match except for the botched first attempt at the alabama slam

RVD/Holly was alright. Would have been better under extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeme rules. I liked the segment with Sabu, Sandman, Dreamer, Balls destroying Burke.

i also enjoyed that segment it was pretty good the main event to me was terrible just like the others until the indertaker came out which was suspected by most
