But I still favor my guess more, which is that Michael Cole is Raw's General Manager.
By now I don't really think so. With Cole being an active character as he is now, the GM spot would have allowed him to work things way more to his favour, and to screw Lawler even more, and to benefit Miz as well.

The GM has been too much of a flip-flop. Sometimes heel, sometimes face. If people boo when they hear the new email alert is because of Cole, not really because of the actions of the GM. I think it will end up being VKM, just because they have no one else to fit the role, and he is enough of a tweener to be in that spot.

Still, maybe they haven't announced the GM because they might be trying to find someone better and less predictable, and JBL would then be a great choice.

Wrestlemania tonight had alot of interference from the Anonymous RAW General Manager.

Completely destroying Jerry Lawler's Wrestlemania Moment reversing the decision of the match because Stone Cold "interfered" too much naming Michael Cole the winner..

& attempted to get involved into the Cena/Miz main event..

But for Lawler to take this sitting down seems very unlikely, having the RAW GM cost him his first Wrestlemania match, and I can see more of a storyline being built into Extreme Rules.

So happening between Lawler and Cole, is it time to reveal who the Anonymous RAW GM really is?

If so, who do you think it could be now?

They obviously will reveal it eventually. I am a bit unhappy that it wasn't revealed tonight at Mania, but I think tomorrow nights Raw will be the perfect time to let everyone know who it is.

This has been going on far too long! I can't believe when Josh Mathews read the email he said everything the same as michael cole, "can i have your attention please" "and i quote" etc..

I have no idea on who it could be, but I am hoping they give us a good surprise!

p.s. I know this isn't part of the topic, but WOW. did Mania suck or what. Worst Mania I have ever seen! HHH/Taker was the only match it seemed like the crowd was into.

I really thought the Rock was going to reveal himself as it tonight. It probably could of saved the show. I was really disappointed that Sheamus and Bryan were nixed. Not only that, but the WHC as the first match? Wtf? So after tonight i voted that i really don't care anymore, because i just really don't care.

It doesnt even seem like Raw even has anyone lined up to take on being the consistent GM. They need one quick. Anybody would work right now.

Its dragging on too long, there's just so much more they can work with from a personality rather than an imaginary box. The payoff is expired, anyone they reveal at this point is going to have too many kayfabe loopholes and not fit this decision or that decision that the GM has made.
Its painfully obvious at this point that WWE didn't have the person behind the computer planned before hand, or that the plans changed. I've given up wondering, and I think its just gonna disappoint whomever it turns out to be.

The story has also gone on too long for them to just drop it, and hope that nobody remembers the last year of RAW, Snoop dog or Hornswaggle make as much sense as the general choice of guessed anonymous GMs at this point.

It likely won't be revealed for awhile since WWE saves money off of having an anonymous GM because they don't actually have to pay anyone. I'm guessing when ratings are severely low, they will announce when the anonymous Raw GM will be revealed.

I voted that it doesn't really matter to me anymore because in fact, it doesn't. I first thought it would be Diesel or Booker T, then I thought HHH. The longer it went on, the less I began to care about who it is. I don't think it makes that much of an impact one way or the other.

I actually couldn't care at this point. How long ago was it that Edge was fighting with the computer? And I thought THEN it had been going on too long.

I've just lost all interest in who it is, and the only upside I can think of it is by adding more heat to Cole by reading it. The only way I'll be surprised or excited by the GM being revealed is if it's someone completely out of the picture, like... Goldberg.

I've honestly lost all care into it.

But I think it's extremely probable that the AGM is Cole himself. Hell, he reversed the decision. He exclusively read the e-mails aloud for the longest time.

But I also think it was WWE's way of having someone in charge without them having to think of hiring him/her. Think of it. People can hate a person no matter what decisions they make for the brand. But the AGM was able to give unbiased decisions without the people caring one way or the other if (s)he was heel or face.

it was a great angle but it has runi its course. this angle started two years too soon.

as vince kayfabe hands wwe to step and hhh it should have been revealed that the GM is shane mcmahon just because as soon as steph is running the show you just know that the corporation storyline is going to get re-run

the only way to save this is too have a superstar either wrestler or wrestling personality, legend be revealed ASAP. it must be someone who for some reason has been away and could not appear on camera. someone like jericho (I Hope Not) or ric flair would work when he eventually returns..

outside of flair or shane i dont think their is a big enough name that could be revealed that would make sense.

for it to be goldberg, sid, diesel or any other legend it wouldnt make sense storyline wise

there again stephanie would work as it would fit in with her maternity leave and sort of pave the way for the onscreen handover from vince

I have to agree with pag_v1, it seemed like an extended version of raw... including that stupid ass laptop gm. it just didn't have that wrestlemania feel to it. the build up was sooo grand, it's always, the road to wrestlemania this, wrestlemania that, and at the end it fell real short. but hey, it did what it was supposed to do, get people excited about the rock, and get jersey shore fans to spend 65 dollars to see somebody they see every day on tv for free already. and she was only on for like 5 minutes. classic wwe screw job, lol.

as far as the raw gm, i think that its the perfect time to reveal it now. have the rock and cena fued and then have the raw gm come out and screw the rock for throwing the laptop. but will it happen? not any time soon.

Hopefully people don't read to much into it. It was the same deal when the WWE hyped up who was Vince's "son" or "bastard son" or whatever the hell they called it and it ended up being Hornswoggle (kind of). Man was that just plain stupid. Same deal. It could probably end up being someone silly or it could be someone like Vince all along.

The two main problems with this story, aside from it going WAY too long and there being no-one in the back there wouldn't be serious holes in the story with, are these:

1) The actions of the GM in the Cole/Lawlor match mean that Cole will be kept not only around, but on TV and in character. The original plan had been to use WM to finish this story line - and with the twittergate issue, Cole needs and deserves to be fired. I understand keeping him until after WM for the payoff, but if Finley is fired over an unintended slip up, Cole has to go, no ifs or (ironically) buts.

2.) But the real condemnation is the fact that TNA ripped off this idea with 'the Network' and the idea and execution they're doing is actually better. Most people who are in the IWC understand how TV works in general and the pressure for ratings, so the interference from a TV network, like Spyke did and USA net try, is at least stightly believable. When your idea or end product is worse than a rip off from the mind of Bitchoff, Russo and Hogan, you know you're shitting on the fans.

This wasn't thought through, wasn't planned to a payoff and now we're left with the impression, much like lastnights WM that creative is devoid of ideas and making things up on the hoof. The end result being a bad product and the marks being in the stands!

I think it doesn't even matter anymore.I've come to expect the iPhone ringtone and the commentators acting as the GM's mouthpiece. It also allows me to engage in my fantasy that the anonymous Raw GM is a super villain who's hiding out in his own island, stroking his furry white cat.

Anyway,if the WWE does unveil who the Anon GM is,he'll be booed out of the building unless it was Austin or The Rock.He would be a very unpopular figure,to say the least.I don't think the WWE has anyone in mind as the Anon GM,unless, like someone before me pointed out, ratings are so low that they'll need to do something to boost it.

The whole annonymous GM thing made sense in the very beginning. The idea was the fear of Nexus. But that Nexus is gone, the new Nexus is basically gone. So what's the point? The whole Annonymous thing should have ended with Edge destroying the laptop. When was that? 8 years ago??

I love how your post is relevant to the topic.

ditto

i don't think the GM will be revealed unless theres someone im missing there can't be anyone that would fit the role that hasn't been kayfabe ruled out. I can see VKM walking out saying "youve abused your power, blah blah, you're fired' and makes someone else the GM"

The only problem with that happening is that it makes the whole skit look worse than it already does. Then again, some of the Rock's skits with Pee Wee Herman and Mae Young were dumb enough last night. SOOOOOOOO, he could do that, or have some real dumb choice of a celeb that has been Raw GM. As I say that, why does Charlie Hustle come to mind first and foremost?

Im in the really dont care camp at this point unless its somehow Cole himself it will be a huge letdown. Also this angle really doesnt make sense anymore due to the fact that the main threat to the Raw gm the nexus is long disbanded.

Who is the new GM?

JBL is a good shout, who else would overturn the decision last night at Wrestlemania apart from Michael Cole himself. JBL had reason to do so after what Austin did to him at his return on RAW and of course he seemed very friendly with Cole. Yeah I think it's JBL, he'd make a good authorative heel IMO.

What is the announcement?
Don't know and not too bothered.

I am hoping the GM is revealed on Raw tonight to end this crap. I am at the point that i don't really care who it is it just needs to be over. A good GM could be anyone who portrayed a good heel in the past like the million dollar man, Piper, Heenan, Jesse Ventura, and yes Cole. They would all add something to the role I just want the computer gone from the show like last week.

JBL actually sounds legitimate but when yesterday The Rock went on and almost started reading with "As GM, I think..." I actually thought he made a mistake and thought he revealed himself as the anonymous GM with the "I think" part before going on with the trademark "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK" phrase.

It needs to be brought to an end. It is a year round pointless device to hamstring both faces and heels with apparently no regard for logic except to protect Michael Cole at all times.

Did the GM even make an "appearance" at RAW? I don't remember one off the top of my head.

If he didn't, I have a feeling they're just going to stop mentioning any GM until they decide to bring a real one out. Of course, this is coming from the guy who thought for sure that WM would have ended with Cena winning the belt and The Rock raising his hand without attacking him (he'd save that for RAW)...

(I've said this pretty much everywhere else, so I'll say it here: the Anonymous RAW GM was...the guy who moved the briefcase at KOTR 1999.)

I thought that they would reveal the real RAW GM at wrestlemania.....which they didn't....
The anonymous GM thing has just been running for too long...now it's just boring.
I think WWE should reveal someone very soon because if not, a lot of people are gonna be bored by that situation.

Plus, having an anomynous GM during a year may let the WWE universe think that the WWE is just not able to find a decent person to fill this role........... and that just sucks...
