booker
Booker T arriving at Boston, MA Airport
So its said Booker T is returning to the WWE in Royal Rumble Sunday and its not a 1 time thing. Most believe Booker is going to be wrestling but doing more as an announcer type role.

Questions
1.Could Booker be the Anonymous GM?
Yes he could as he has said he doesnt want to be a full time wrestler in WWE if he returns so I could see him being a GM who dont take any shit and steps in the ring when its necessary.

2.If he does return would rather see him as a wrestler, commentator, or GM
I wouldn't mind him as a commentator or a GM as he's good on the mic and would excel at both.

If this in the wrong place feel free to move it

So now it's your turn tell me what ya think.

I really can't see Booker as the GM at all. But this mystery GM shit has got to end as soon as possible. I would love it if a big name returned and was announced as the GM.

1.Could Booker be the Anonymous GM?
Actually yes. Booker T would be a nice choice to fill the General Manager role. It would be a nice suprise and it would certainly get a lot of crowd reaction. However, I feel Kevin Nash would fill the role a lot better. Even if he didn't do shit but appear as a character GM, I would be perfectly fine. We all know Kevin Nash has the backstage expirience, so that would play ionto the character very well. Booker T isn't a bad choice but it wouldn't be that believable. Not saying he won't.
2.If he does return would rather see him as a wrestler, commentator, or GM
Wrestler for me. Like I said, I believe someone like Kevin Nash would make a better GM/Commentator. Booker T's voice is severly raspy. I don't think I can enjoy RAW or Smackdown with my ears bleeding like that.

I would also like to say this anonymous GM thing isn't as bad as I thought it was. I've pretty much accepted the fact of the GM being anonymous. Whoever the GM may be, needs to turn out to be heel. Everytime we hear the little sound go off, we get a bunch of boos. I don't know if its for Cole, or the computer itself, but that kind of heat, cannot be wasted.

I know this has been speculated before and even discussed on different threads. However Triple H didn't appear at the rumble and his impact of returning on raw wouldn't nearly as impacted as the rumble would have been. If hes close the retiring then this would be his best choice. It would make a ton of sense and would bring back honor to GM job.

So do you think HHH should finally be named Raw GM?

I don't. I think it wouldn't put a solid closing chapter on his feud with Sheamus or a satisfying end to his in-ring career. If he returned on RAW tonight in a surprise Elimination Chamber qualifier I'd say its just as big as the Rumble. Everyone and their mother was predicting Triple H was going to return at the rumble, so why do the predictable? They already had lined up 2 monster surprises, they didn't need a third. Trips can return any time from now until mania and it will still be as effective.

Back on the GM topic though;

Triple H really doesn't represent the pinnacle of authority jobs. I know he had his run back in 2000 but making a 14 time world champion a General Manager or something when he still has a year left and a lingering feud to have doesn't make much sense. They'll get more satisfaction out of him if he spent another year putting young guys over like he did with Sheamus. The anonymous General manager is still pretty over with the crowd in terms of reaction; sure its annoying but it can't be denied it draws A LOT of heat not only to it; but Michael Cole as well.

Honestly, I don't really want to see this. I don't think I could really take HHH seriously as an authority figure. I'd just be waiting for him to book himself in championship matches and such. Maybe once he officially retires, but there is no reason to believe that his in-ring career is over so I just don't see any reason to waste a perfectly good wrestler on something like this.

I'm still wondering why the GM would call Michael Cole handsome...

Cant see Triple H been the GM. For starters it would be pretty predictable. I was suprised he didnt return at the Rumble but again that would of been predictable.

Im really not wanting to see another HHH/Sheamus programme. I think WWE keep postponing his return because I think they dropped the ball having Sheamus put him out of action. I bet they are regretting it now, should of been someone else.

I dont have a clue how he should return, and I dont think alot do as of yet.

I still think that Steph is going to be the GM. The reason that she is anonyomos was because she was pregnant, now there just waiting for the perfect time to reveal her as the GM.

I might as well put another name out there. It "could" be Kevin Nash. He had to stay anonymous due to still being in TNA. Now he has made it known that he signed a deal with WWE and can make it public.

I don't want it to happen, it would just be an easy way for the WWE to go with the current story.

I had a thought just before as I posted in the Fact or Fiction thread.

What if the mysterious RAW GM never actually gets revealed? What if the GM was to be fired or resign before anyone could prove who it was? There could be an angle similar to Edge where someone, maybe a returning Jericho? Could go on about how they used their away time to track down the GM and will threaten to announce who they are if they do not resign from their position? I think that could work as I don't think anyone could really be the GM as they have shown face and heel qualities back and forth.

I don't know... It's likely it will never be revealed who the GM is, but I don't think it will pan out like that. Most likely Cole getting an "email" saying the Anon GM has resigned, and left cole in his place. (I still think it's cole) end the Anon part will end with Cole still saying "May I have your attention please"

Kevin Nash is the most suitable person for Raw GM. It's obvious with his age (as seen in the Royal Rumble) he can't go long with the new generation of wrestlers and for him to end up feuding with The Big Show would be a waste of his time and ours. Nash as GM would be perfect, as a heel (of course because of his popularity he would be a face as first)

This angle has gone on for way too long, the Email alerts are getting on my nerves and it has gone to a point that few actually cares who it is. It is basically serving as a way for Michael Cole to draw some heat. He has enough heat already, if they want him to remain drawing heat if not even more, just reveal him as the Anonymous GM, simple as that

This is still going on!? Honestly, when they introduced this little gimmick to Raw, I was sure that it was only going to be a short-term fix until the WWE decided on who they wanted to have take the position. Now, that could still be correct and once the right talent comes along to take that role, perhaps the Anonymous GM will be phased out week by week. That being said, the WWE really has nothing to lose by keeping the Anonymous GM on board for the foreseeable future. It is a way of getting some heat for Cole and it comes without it's difficulties and segments where people are begging the GM for a match.

Really, I expect this to be done at WrestleMania. In a recent article I read on the main page of WrestleZone, it stated that Vince wanted some pay-off from Michael Cole's heel run and it would more than likely be WrestleMania that the blow-off would happen. Personally, I fully expect this to be a match between Michael Cole and Alex Riley vs. The King but that is a different story for a different time. The fact of the matter is that without the GM, Michael Cole might never have made it as a heel persona and if they are going to end the heel run of Cole, it might make sense to end the Anonymous GM angle.

To be fair, it has done the job that it was meant to do but it it is very tiring now. I would just love to see some resolution now, it really doesn't matter who it is. I'll just be glad when it is over.

I read on Wrestlezone that the plans for Jerry "The King" Lawler for wrestlemania was to compete in a match and have something to do with Michael Cole and it said that they wanted Wrestlemania as the "big payoff" due to the fact that Cole is always bad mouthing superstars like Daniel Bryan or being a superstars cheerleader such as our current WWE champ the Miz and whenever theres an e-mail from the GM he does his famous line "And I quote" which happens to build him more and more heat so with all this in mind and his plans with The King at Wrestlemania do you think we will finally get to see who the GM finally is? Your thoughts please? And if something like this was posted before in another thread I do apologize.

It could very well happen. However, since Cole is not experienced enough to put on a decent match at Mania, I see it being a 2 on 1 match. Not sure who Cole would team with, but maybe the GM could name himself as the special ref. Say they announce this a few weeks ahead of time on Raw, this adds to the intrigue of the match as people are very anxious to see who the GM really is. Only time will tell if this actually happen or not though.

they will beat this dead horse forever, it gets a big reaction in the arena when it is announced and as long as it gets a reaction they will stick with it. I don't know if Vince knows who he wants to be the GM.

I'm not so sure about that. After Michael Cole loses to Jerry Lawler at Wrestlemania, I can't see them keeping the anonymous GM angle.

It's good now because Cole has made himself into such a heel with the "And I quote" thing and his praises of the Miz.

After he's embarrassed at Wrestlemania, I think no one will even care about "and I quote" and it won't even get a reaction any more.

It's all tied to Cole. Not sure if that's how they wanted it but that's how it is.

the anonymous Gm angle is just a joke now. Vince has no idea how it is and it will end up being the biggest let-down ever! someone like Santino or HHH

i don't really know if it's been said but I would like someone like Kevin Nash be put in the position of GM. However, I do feel like they missed their chance. If Kevin Nash was completely owned by someone like the Nexus or the Corre I would definitely see him as a viable candidate for the position. He's big, he can talk, and he definitely knows his stuff. I think he could've done a great job making an example of Superstars on Raw if he were GM.

Now, I've gotta list of names running through my head that I can't even fathom who it could be or how the storyline would pan out. The one thing I do know is that I want it to end; and end very very very soon.

Vince was on RAW this week and I was expecting MUCH more (like I assume others were as well). For some reason, all we got was this mystery guest hot run-around crap. With that being said, I would like to say that I would like to see to see Stone Cold come back as the GM after Mania. I know its far fetched but I have a little bit of theory. It's not well concocted and probably won't happen by any stretch of imagination.

Now that Stone Cold is back as the host of Tough Enough, his association with WWE is a bit stronger again. He can be Raw GM and not be there EVERY single night, even though I know that's what most would want. He has a great standing with WWE and the Universe and has a "take no crap" mentality. He could set a lot of Superstars on the right track and at the same time set up some great story if he had a say in creative. Like I said with Nash, he knows his way around, he knows everyone, and he has a great standing with everyone behind the curtain. If done correctly, I think it could work.

However, that is probably not the case. I've ran through names over and over. I can't put a finger on anyone that really makes sense. However, what if WWE wants to run this GM storyline even longer. For instance, Undertaker is "supposedly" due back next Monday. Who's to say HHH doesn't come back the same night AS the none other then the GM. HHH makes Undertaker's life a living hell on both Raw and Smackdown, voiding Vickie's "interm GM" garbage title. This could eventually lead to "Job v Streak" match at Mania. Far-fetched...maybe. But what else do we have to go on at this point.

All in all, I want to see something big from this storyline. Afterall, we have been waiting months upon months for something to happen. All we get to see is Michael Cole's "heel announcer" crap roll day in and day out.

Any opinions or counters to this? Definitely not opposed to hearing them.

Raw has never really had a decent GM period since Bischoff left. When I stopped watching wrestling they were arguing about who was gonna be GM then never appointed one!

On a side note, why did they make Bret GM for a week only? He'd have been a perfect full time replacement.

This anon thing is getting annoying and pointless now, especially when the RAW GM apparently has the right to decide who has the right to be in the Rumble ring!

isnt it obvious the anonymous GM is a Dell inspirion 4200?? you all are dummies haha.
But neway im leaning towards it being that woman on the show last night,it couldnt be Stephanie though so i guess im leaning against an invisible wall ha,, because no other woman comes to mind.
It could end up being Austin if they want to the route of Austin and the Rock both being back at the same time which would be good, but i dont know what Austins priorities are in regards to WWE.

Well, it would explain the unpredictable behaviour, and if Rock is truly staying around for a while, then there could be some interesting stuff going on there.

Austin is already the host of Tough Enough, so he obviously isn't entirely against working for WWE in a non-wrestling role.

What do you wonderful, good-looking people think?

Oh, wait, that's just me. Okay then:

What do you people think?

Personally, I feel that this would be a bad idea. Him working the tough enough is a great idea but having the Rock on Raw (if he is indeed staying) and Austin as the GM It would be a bad move for the WWE, All the work they have done building people up only to bring back both Austin and the Rock to the main shows? it will kill all the momentum a few wrestlers have been building up.

So i know that this has been speculated and rumored for a while. However this would make the most sense and if it is career vs steak at Wrestlemania and Triple H does lose it would set Raw up with the right person in charge. Although it makes sense and could happen, when will it be revealed?

I think tonight on raw when 2/21/11 is revealed it will be HHH. He will announce that hes been waiting a long time to announce that hes GM and now its time to take full control of raw.

What do you think?
