Meh, I'm not a fan of Abraham Washington's, he's quite annoying to me. But, it is pretty likely that it will be him because VKM seems to like him and he's been talked about before. He's been GM before so he would fit the role, but I'm looking for quite a shocker and something that will keep me interested... so the GM needs to be somebody that I wouldn't expect.

I do watch Raw and I do know the NXT rookies of season 1. I do not however know who Abraham Washington is. So, if he were to be announced as the GM, I as well as much of the WWE universe would be thinking...this nobody was chosen? We want a big name people have heard of. Surprise us, shock us. Blow us away.

I wouldn't be that bothered. Washington's got good promo skills and makes for an interesting authority figure. I would be a tad underwhelmed by the choice but he's an interesting one.

People can certainly hate him as he does have that heel authority figure about him and he's quite annoying so the fans would easily hate him. Raw needs a heel GM at the moment in order to set things straight. Someone who's tough and will take a stance against NXT (Bret Hart) didn't work so the writers are going to try and mix things up by putting in a more cowardly heel but one who won't be pushed too far. Washington's the right guy for that position.

And besides, he can't be any worse than Mike Adamle...could he?

To put it kindly, I'm gonna shit myself if Abraham Washington becomes the new General Manager of RAW.

Mostly because during his time on ECW. Sure he was good on the microphone. But he was so damn annoying, and not in the good way "I'm getting over as a heel" annoying. No just damn annoying.

Abraham Washington could make a decent General Manager I won't deny that. He's a good speaker, and he knows how to carry that authority figure gimmick. After all he was General Manager at FCW for a period of time I believe.

I'm hoping this is just a rumored storyline although, because I really don't need Abraham on my television, anytime soon. Like. Ever.

Abraham Washington?! To borrow a line from the Miz… Really? Abraham Washington… Reeealy!?

But in all seriousness, this is a horrible choice. I never watched ECW on a regular basis but I know that a lot of people liked Washington. His “talk show” segment was pretty over with the fans and his mic work was pretty damn good. I seen him a couple of times on the mic and although I never saw him in the ring I knew that he was pretty over. However, a while ago I was thinking about where he had gone to. With all of the ECW talent going to the respective other brands, I was sure that we would see Abraham Washington on one of them. However, that never materialised… Well, until now.

If it is revealed that Abraham Washington is the new GM of Raw, I am going to try and keep an open mind. The WWE has really managed to get it’s shit together and although we have worried about angles before, the WWE has managed to turn them into gold. It is really disappointing that the WWE doesn’t have bigger aspirations for the Raw GM post. I mean people had been talking about a return of the Rock and Daniel Bryan but it might turn out that it is Abraham Washington and I have a feeling that lot of people are going to be pissed off that the WWE has pulled this move.

As I said though, I am going to try and stay optimistic. Raw has been really good lately and hopefully this wont be as bad as I think it will be. Abraham Washington is good on the mic and that is all that is really needed for a Raw GM.

Raw is crying out for a General Manager with two qualities:

1) A good mic worker. Somebody who can talk. Which Bret Hart couldn't. Hart had authority with the older audience, but given the amount of kids who go to WWE shows, his lack of mic abilities really showed him up as GM.

2) A heel. Raw is in desperate need of a heel General Manager. And the heel GM/Leader of the Nexus makes perfect sense.

Triple H is the only person who fits these types. Not sure he really fits GM, given that he's going to be an active wrestler too.

I know people don't rate Abe Washington, because his ECW skit didn't mean much. But if he can draw heat in a segment that no-one has any reason to care about, then I think he'd do fine as GM.

The one thing about the anonymous GM is that as much as I think it'll get boring soon enough, equally, if the new GM is revealed tonight, I'm not sure it'll have the build up it needs. Still don't believe that the writers know who it is yet, and I think the reason is because nobody who is available properly fits the bill. A wrestling GM makes little sense, but Triple H may be the only option they have.

Washington isn't known enough to be on WWE's #1 show. I think it would be a horrible choice to have Washington as the gm because no one cares enough about him. Triple H: it would be a little confusing. But everytime i hear that email sound go off i can't help it but to think of one name...Mike Adamle. lol Wow he was terrible. but if i had to choose i'd say Michael "Fucking" Cole. Let's face it, everybody on this forum hates him. Everybody in the WWE universe hates him. EVERYBODY ON THIS PLANET hates Cole. so i think it'd be perfect to have him as the oh so hated HEEL GM of RAW. think about it, Why would the gm have cole announce all his announcements. Cole's just making them up as he goes. Sounds perfect to me.

Point me towards the Michael Cole line. I agree that Raw needs a heel GM, and who else attracts such Vickie-like heat than Cole right now? Granted, yes the IWC hates him, the WWE Universe hates his guts, he gets on everyone's nerves with his relentless babbling at the announce table. That's why he would be gold for Raw GM. Vince loves that you hate him, because he knows you are going to still tune in next week. I actually think it would make for some entertaining television.

I know it's not going to happen, but I wish it were Paul Heyman. He'd be a great heel GM and could align himself with the Nexus group.

Although he could pull it off, I really don't want it to be Triple H. Triple H still has plenty of gas left in him to WRESTLE. I'm sure he will be GM one day, or even CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment! However, not the time, but I'd like to see him come back as a heel.

Hint or a trick? We all just heard that at the bottom of the message, we havent heard anything of Austin returning to WWE. I see WWE management has taken a step up in the GM mystery in giving us a small roar. So much for it being boring. I really hope it ends up being Austin but knowing them it might change. I dont see how Austin being GM during the PG Era will work out. Its going to be a lot of WHATS in the crowd now. My guess about the GM hasnt came clear because we didnt have any leads. I figured it could be ted dibiase jr just because hes been asking to be in control for awhile.

i really don't think austin is the new gm, its probably a trick, trying to get fans to think that its him by saying his signature quote, but it wuld make sense as austin does scare mcmahon a bit and u could c that when he was talking to the mystery gm. and the new gm is probably just trying to strike some fear into the raw superstars

I think it's a trick. As WWE has been unpredictable as of late, I think it'd be too predictable if it were to be Stone Cold (then again, who knows?). I'd like it to be Austin because it might signal the end of the PG era....I'd like it to be Paul Heyman too.

I just hope we're not all royally disappointed by this. There's been a lot of hype concerning the new GM and I hope it's not hype for nothing.

I dont know if anyone has already asked this but, what about FOLEY

To me hes a great choice, they need a legend to replace brett. A GM needs good mic skills and Mic proved theres no one better at promoting match's (think back to the hiac match before he left).

I dont think he left WWE on bad terms, and he only left because he didnt like being an announcer because of vince being in his ear all night.

Anyone know what the status of his contract with TNA is???? I herad hes only not on tv with TNA because he has a clause that he will only star in x amount of shows and he was cloe to that number, but he must be nearing the end???

FOLEY IS GOD!!!!!!!!!!! FOLEY SAVE RAW

When I heard the end of that message during the beginning of Raw I almost got excited that the GM could be Stone Cold but after 2nd thought I am thinking it's just a diversion.

I hope I am just over thinking it and Stone Cold really does become the new GM of RAW!

Mr.GM has catchphrases. His catchphrases are''because The GM said so'' and ''if you wanna see some action say hell yeah.''
Its kind of obious now.
Or could the WWE be playing tricks?

I think it might be Triple H, because the "Hell Yeah!" means that it could also be someone who was close to Austin...Ala Two Man Power Trip.

Triple H does fit the description, and while I have had my doubts about him being the GM, I think that this could be a hint at who it could be.

Now the new GM says...."Give me a hell ya"

Too obvious dude. If it was going to be Stone Cold, they wouldn't have made the clues so damn obvious. WWE have gone away from being predictable and are clearly f**king with us right now, in terms of the identity of the new GM. Of course, if it is Austin, I will be pretty happy with that....and I'd like it to be a heel Austin, because he could align himself with Nexus as he has legitimate beef with McMahon for the past rivalries that they've had.

Personally, I believe that Stone Cold is the new GM of RAW! Here is my reason for that statement: As many of you well know that the trademark "And thats the bottom line because Stone Cold said so" is owned by WWE and of course Steve Austin himself so why would anyone else say this? And also, if you recall a few weeks back, Stone Cold said that he wanted to return to WWE but not to wrestle even though he has atleast one good match left in him but doesnt want to tarnish his image of the wrestler that he once was. After hearing "if you want action give me a hell yeah!" I knew right then and there that he is the new GM of RAW! Its only a matter of time b4 they reveal him as the GM, I suspect that they are letting him wrap up filming of his new movie or giving this storyline more time so that everyone can continue to spectulate on who just might be the new GM, they very much gave some clues tonight.....

Then PLEASE let it be a heel Stone Cold, even if his heel turn doesn't happen straight away. Having Stone Cold align himself with Nexus would be the icing on the cake. It would explain the attack on Vince McMahon and even The Undertaker. A heel Stone Cold GM could be the best thing that has happened to Raw since the brands split, put it that way.

Could be way too obvious. Yeah Stone Cold would be awesome, but I wouldn't be surprised if next week they started having the GM say "if you smell what the GM is cookin" or another catchphrase from another major WWE Superstar. Perhaps trying to string the WWE audience along in a tease of who it really is. And in my opinion they're doing this because they're not sure who they want it to be yet.

I agree 100%!!! A heel stone cold would be the best thing to happen to WWE in years! The attack on McMahon would make perfect sense if Stone Cold came back a Face and pretended to be "punishing" Nexus for their actions and then give McMahon a stunner and motion for Nexus to come out and stand over McMahons body as RAW goes off the air leaving the WWE Universe stunned and speechless!

It's not Stone Cold.

I believe that the catchphrases tonight were diversions, red herrings. They're making us want to believe that it's Stone Cold by giving us some blasts from the past. I bet next week they'll use lines like "If you smell what the GM is cooking". Then the next week they could say that the main event is going to be "a slobberknocker". And then the week they finally decide to reveal it, there will be a line about "Vintage"...and Michael Cole will knock down the podium and reveal that it was him all along.

Cole has the potential to be an incredible heel GM. He gets tons of heat, and he sounded like a complete boss tonight when he was reading the emails that disciplined Cena. He has a great voice, is already hated, and is articulate and entertaining when he's being a complete douchebag.

Cole for GM!

I personally think that they're using the catchphrases of SCSA to try and "trick" the WWE Universe. Like somebody posted before, they could just run through WWE Alumni's catchphrases until all of a sudden somebody un-expected comes out. I have no clue as to who this surprise (if I'm correct) could be, but I'd love to see HHH or 'Taker do it. I'm about 98% sure 'Taker wouldn't do it, but I just think it'd be fun. HHH has more of a chance, but odds are, once he's back from filming, he'll probably just be back to action. :icon_neutral:

I wouldn't be surprised to see Vince McMahon or Michael Cole as the GM at this point. It's too obvious to say Stone Cold is the new GM. The new GM will probably be a heel on the Nexus side. It could be Cole or even Jericho since Jericho is taking credit for Wade Barrett and Nexus' actions.

I agree with many of the other posters here with them possibly using The Rock's catchphrases next week and so on.

I thought of that throughout the night trying to figure out how many phrases they could try over the next few weeks.

I am hoping it still is STSA but I won't hold my breath. Using the catch phrases tonight may have got the crowd interested in the "anonymous GM" again but I am not sure how long this can go on before it becomes annoying again.

(By the way why did the lights flicker with every E-mail tonight? seemed kind of random)
