Guys it's pretty obivious how the GM of RAW is. Its the Rock. He has said it in interview before that he was going to be coming back to the wwe in the time of sumerslam, not to wreastle but to become the GM. Sumerslam is only one ppv away, so the rock might reveal himself after about 3 more weeks.

The Rock does seem to be getting mentioned a lot. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, so for now (just have a feeling im going to be let down) I'm going with the safe pick and say Cole. Just seems like the type of stupid thing WWE would do to kill all the momentum the past few weeks have created.

:disappointed:

Wow, you guys really know it all, don't ya?

In that interview, he mentioned that he wanted to be a guest host... not the GM of Raw. Not so obvious anymore now, is it?

Whoever this mystery GM is, I could care less for now. I'm loving this idea of a GM behind the scenes. It takes the focus off the GM and puts it onto the wrestlers, which is always great in my book. I especially like how they're communicating with the WWE Universe via email.

Now, what I DON'T like about this concept is the execution. Michael Cole is dragging out the reading of the emails WAYYY too much. If he's supposed to be a neutral party in reading them, shouldn't he just breeze through them instead of announcing that an email has come through via a wireless microphone, only to walk 5 feet over to a podium with ANOTHER microphone (like he's making a presidential announcement), and make a 10 word sentence in the email last 3 minutes from his dramatic reading? It just makes me facepalm, shake my head, and yell at the TV with "Get on with it already!!!" Cole's obviously milking his NXT heel character for all it's worth with this, and I wouldn't doubt if the WWE ran with it in future storylines.

:lmao:
mustard, fudge & macaroni- the internet is ruining my life!- cena 6\28\10

damn, i couldnt ever agree with john cena more. this email only gm is getting on my nerves. we almost saw a great opening on raw. they could have had a big fight then sent that email about suspensions.

it would be fine if not for michael cole dragging things out, and now apparently having his own 'laptop stand'. it is making more and more sense for it to end up being cole. he runs far away anytime the nexus is close and he takes way too much pride in his reading skills. this is a way for wwe to test the waters with him as heel gm & possible slide another guy in at the last second if things dnt go right. i pray to god that it ends up being j.r. but not likely at this point.

I gotta tell ya, I hope and pray every night before I go to bed that the RAW where the GM is announced goes down like this, Vince comes down to the ring and does some talking and then...all of a sudden...Ding ding ding ding *western music starts* and out rolls a limo with horns on the front. JBL exits. I would mark out so bad. He can cut a promo like no one else and was one of the best champions ever. A man can hope.

Michael Cole seems to be the top choice for now. Last night, he acted a little too comfortable. He constantly reminded people of why the "faces" couldn't help and showed no remorse towards Jerry Lawler being attacked. He simply brushed it off and kept going. If this is supposed to essentially be a WWE vs. Nexus storyline, Cole should've been raising all kinds of hell about revenge for his partner. Also, the way he read the emails this week was different from last week. He was milking it for all it was worth and it seems to me that the only reason "popular" decisions are being made (Sheamus/Cena in a cage) is to keep it from being too obvious. Maybe, just maybe, they'll swerve and do something from left field. As of now though, i'm sold on a vintage, heel GM in Michael Cole.

Are you serious? I'm pretty sure he put on his devastated voice when he was talking about the attack afterwards and described it as vicious or something along those lines. Michael Cole could get good heat as a heel GM, but i don't think it's him. who's gonna take his place at the announce table if it is him?

am i the only one who thinks WWE creative haven't figured out who to make the GM? I mean, you had reports that bret hart was forced off WWE TV for whatever reason, and that him being "fired" by vince was a last minute decision. i think they're still trying to think of a replacement.

I think Stephanie is the GM of raw. Just looking at that promos. The one with vince on the phone. Then the emails. It sounds like she was writing those emails. Anyone else think shes a possible GM ?

I don't know man, to me it seemed like he just took on a reporter's tone and stayed unbiased. No where near the emotion that he puts into "THE VIPER STRIKES!" or "VINTAGE ORTON!" every week. You'd think he'd have extra emphasis on his broadcast partner, yeah? Maybe I'm looking too far into a person's tone of voice, but I figure the tone determines the severity sometimes. This is "something big" so it should've been treated as such. I think this is a gradual turn for Cole to say he actually agrees with whats happening, etc.

Cole could get replaced by Matt Striker, with Matthews replacing him on Smackdown. Easy transition until they can get someone in there with experience or just leave it be, considering J.R. wasn't apart of the youth movement, Matthews could fit just fine. As long as someone good replaces Cole, or atleast passable because we're getting good storylines, I think we're good to go.

This wouldn't surprise me in the least. It's possible that they're waffling between different ideas and waiting until they absolutely have to make the decision. It's also possible that they want someone that isn't immediately available because of a particular situation (like Steph) or they're working out a contract (like a JBL).

Personally I'd love to see JBL return but I'm in agreement with the other folks that think Michael Cole is part of this. Especially after the podium, glasses, and attitude made an appearance this week.

Of course we all know how surprises in wrestling usually end up. You're hoping for Avatar and you end up with Gigli.

I have a few ideas who it could be. It could be Shane, Stephenie, Ken'ichi Matsuyama from the movie Death Note. But wouldn't that be too obvious? I can see the New GM being a curve ball, someone no one suspects. It could be Triple H, returning as a GM role to heal injuries after completing his movie and putting Sheamus through hell. Although I would love to see Shawn Michaels be the Raw GM, it's highly doubtful. Brian Danielson? Don't think it's him either, but you never know.

But what about Dusty Rhodes or Ted DeBiase Sr.? I think it would be cool to have one of these guys be back as a GM role. Ricky Steamboat wouldn't be a bad choice either, but its doubtful.

It could be anyone, maybe someone we don't know or long forgotten. As for the announcement, it might depend on Wade Barret's visa status. If he is cleared to come back, it would probably be a match with Nexus fighting each other for Wade Barret's right. If not, they could be 'fired' again. Who knows? Got to turn in each week and find out.

Ok guys If it is Michael Cole (Whom I think it is and IMO would make a great heel GM) I think I know how the reveal would play out. bare with me on this one but lets say about 3 or 4 weeks into this, Jerry Lawler gets up and says let me read this emai and cole is like overprotective of the stand. Lawler get by him and see's that the computer screen is blank. Now this may be wishful thinking and me letting my mind wonder but I think it could really work out like this. Now on to those of you saying that WWE Creative has no idea who the GM is or should be. I believe another posted this but I'm gonna go with it too. I think that they have Tripe H in their back pocket just incase it runs for too long without them finding a GM. As for those of you saying that the Rock is the GM, In his interview he said he would "LIKE" to be on WWE programing as a guest host due to the freedom in his summer schedual. He's not looking to go back for the entire summer and he's not even looking to be GM, ony a guest host. But yea I think Michael Cole is the GM

My guess is, maybe it could possibly be Ted Dibiase Jr. for GM. I remember he was pestering each guest host to be the gm that night. He kept offering to pay them anything they wanted so he could be the GM. Another piece of evidence to back it up would be that large sum he inherited from making his WM 26 debut. Another piece of evidence I see, is Maryse. Why would Maryse lower herself to be his 'servant/whatever' unless she knew something that he was going to be doing? If she knew he was to be the new GM, then that would also serve her as well to align herself with him. That's just my theory on who the new GM could be and some of my evidence for it. I'll just wait and see, but I give it another few weeks before they reveal it, sadly I think they will drag out the mystery as long as possible.

JR would be great as would the Rock. IT BETTER NOT BE MICHAEL COLE!!Mr. "not this way not this way" would be the worst gm of all time. Also they have not given any hints on this new GM and Cole looks to be the obvious one so it might not be him. they might throw a curve and give it to bret again. i read something abouut an insurance problem and they could anounce its him when every thing is solved.

I wish it could be Bryan Danielson, but i'm not sure if the WWE could hold out for his suspension to be over.

It could play out this way....Vince has hired him because, as the story line goes, Nexus kicked him out for being the only one to apologize for the first attack. His firing has never been mentioned on air. His first act as GM is to give contracts to all seven of the men who betrayed him. Eventually he starts to book them in ways to benefit them. Like a tag team title for Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater. Maybe an IC title run for Michael Tarver. And ultimately Wade Barrett getting his title shot and winning a no dq match for the WWE title. Nexus now has all the gold but now the mystery GM is booking them in matches against each other. The group is beginning to fracture and at the next PPV Barrett survives a brutal match, maybe Hell In A Cell or Elimination Chamber, only to have Mr. McMahon announce after the match that Barrett's night is not over. The mystery GM has decided that Barrett must defend his title right then against the GM himself....Then Danielson's music hits and out he comes to one of the biggest pops ever and wins the title. The next night on Raw he relinquishes the GM role to Abraham Washington.

Plus it furthers the Cole/Danielson angle from NXT! Did you hear the crowd boo every time Cole got up to read an Email? Eventually Cole can talk about how angry he is getting at the mystery GM for making him stand on that little podium and read Emails, instead of The King or Justin Roberts.

A guy can dream, can't he?

I think that's exactly right. There is absolutely nothing to base it all on. If you go back to the early pages of this thread, people are using Vince's manner on the phone to the GM, stating that he was very familiar with him. That hasn't been continued as noone else has spoken to him. That's that avenue blocked off. Michael Cole, poorly might I add, announces only the jist of what the GM's email reads. He doesn't read it word for word. There are no hints or catchphrases in what Cole says so there is no hints there either.

Michael Cole and King at ringside haven't actually speculated at all about who it is. Noone in the back has even mentioned the fact that there is a mystery GM. Simple answer is that they just haven't thought of one yet.

I'm not so sure... Vince may pull some REALLY dumb stuff at times, but i dont think that even he would go this far into it, and NOT have someone picked. why the secret GM, the emails, and all that? ratings. Spring/Summer have always been a low rating point in the WWE. there's nothing else on TV, so they dont have to try AS hard. well, with many people turning to TNA, and a lot of the "WWE universe" tired of John Cena being crammed down our pie holes every damn week, this adds some wonder, a reason to tune in each week. i wouldnt be surprised to see a former WWE superstar as the new GM. but it better be one that fits the roll well.. that wont take crap (EG: teddy long/ drew McIntyre) i wouldnt even mind a Heel GM! hell, gimme another Eric Bishoff! at least then, someone other than Cena would be winning each week/PPV.

That to me would be a major disappointment. i was never a fan of Abraham during his entire "talk show" tenure that ran on ECW during it's final months, and I wasn't sad that he remained to be the only superstar who didn't make a spot on the WWE roster post ECW's cancellation. Someone that the fans enjoy to see should be revealed if any GM will be revealed from this whole "anonymous" or deal. Or at least someone that would be a shocker.

Having Abraham Washington revealed as the GM would be terrible. He is basically a no name FCW trainee who spent some air time on ECW. He didn't ever amount to anything. He wasn't that good on the mic and never did show his in ring ability, which doesn't matter anyway since we are talking about him being revealed as the possible "anonymous" RAW GM. He just isn't that great of a talker and it was ironic that he had a talk show when he basically was a fail every time he spoke. He should not be RAW's GM, someone better and more useful will suffice thank you. Abraham was awful and that's all there is too it.

Fantastic.

I mean, I'm going to be the only one that says that, probably, because I loved Abraham Washington. I thought he was entertaining, good on the mic, and had some real potential as a heel. I know he plays the GM of FCW and done a good job (or has in the past) so I don't see why he couldn't play the GM of RAW and do a good job.

On top of that, the man can wrestle and wrestle well. He could become a new William Regal, except hopefully this time not get busted for drugs. I know people will be squawking about what a "letdown" it would be, but really if you think realistically, it's not going to be someone like The Rock or Austin or Bryan. Might as well give it to someone who will do a good job and could use this for some great storylines.

I like Abraham Washington a lot, and I think he'll be a really good G.M. However, I'd prefer to see him as a Commentator on Raw.

If the WWE doesn't want to fire Jerry Lawler, I think a 3 man team of Cole, Lawler, and Abe as the Heel Color Commentator would be an improvement on the lackluster announcing Raw has now.

I would be disappointed much like SpoodBeest. I find Abe rather annoying during his talk show segments and while he has his fans here, I'm one of his haters. He is annoying and just rambles on and I just find myself wanting to punch the guy in the face. He rarely entertained me and it took a lot for any of his segments to get just a giggle out of me. There are better options at GM who would be much better than Abe in my mind. This whole mystery thing needs to lead to a huge name as GM and Abe just ain't that.

This shouldn't come to a surprise to anyone, Wrestlezone reported that he was in line to become the GM of Raw back when they made it Bret Hart, so the fact they are making him the GM now is no surprise to me.

Now do I like the decision? It'll be interesting to see how he takes to his new role (if he gets it of coarse) but I think he will do just fine as the GM, I don't think he will last very long of coarse, maybe only a year or 18 months, but that's it. It'll be interesting to see if he comes out as a Heel or a Face as I can't remember what he was back when he was in "ECW".

I like many others would be greatly disappointed if this were to be true. Why would Vince give full control of his company to Washington?, it makes no sense. I think this would be a very bad move on behalf of the WWE, how many people out side the IWC even remember who Washington is? I see the crowd letting out a giant moan if they even react if he is announced as the new GM. This would be a great way to ruin a hot angle.

When you create a storyline like this with a mystery GM, the payoff must be great. When much of the WWE universe is still unaware of Abraham Washington (remember, a lot don't watch ECW), it won't be a lackluster reveal, even if he does do his job well. The key here is delivering on a promise, and that promise is a mystery GM. The reveal must be something of grandeur. Anything less would just be a disappointment.
