[Official] All Things Becca Thread

Having made my wrestling post for the month, I'm scuttling back to the Bar Room.

What? At least I'm honest.

I thought it was gonna be worse than the Fingerpoke of Doom but then nothing can be worse then that....It took like 10 minutes for HBK to refuse to lay down and JBL give him the Clothesline from Hell

I'm a big fan of JBL vs HBK, actually. It's quality storytelling from both parties. Possibly the best program on Raw right now.

I'm not HBK fan and I'll say the JBL/HBK storyline is stupid and unbelievable...how can you find it entertaining in the least bit is beyond me.

I enjoy it because it's top notch storytelling from both of them. HBK is selling the idea that he's a miserable, downtrodden old wrestler with no money perfectly, and JBL is coming across as the biggest bastard on the planet. Meanwhile, they're building the inevitable Sweet Chin Music to JBL's face beautifully - I guarantee you, the crowd is gonna mark out so hard when HBK finally sticks it to JBL, it'll tear the roof off the place. HBK will come out of it on fire and head into WrestleMania strong, and JBL gets enormous heat for abusing HBK.

Every week, JBL and HBK have great promos and the fatal four way match ending was beautiful. It's one of the few things on Raw I'm actually interested in following week by week.

So tell me what all of you think is so bad about it.

You're a mark for this angle because you love JBL...

It's not a bad angle, if it was someone other than HBK. He deserves a lot more than this. They could've/should've used this angle with JBL and MVP. MVP is obviously going with the storyline of losing everything he owns, so it would fit in perfectly, and we wouldn't hate it as much

He deserves more? What more does he deserve, exactly? Maybe another title reign? He doesn't need a title reign, he's bloody Shawn Michaels. Giving him a world championship at this point is ludicrous. If anything, he should be IC Champion and put something back into the title.

The angle wouldn't have worked with MVP. It would just turn JBL face because he'd finally be smacking some sense into MVP. And a face JBL doesn't help anyone. MVP's gimmick is working just fine on its own.

The only reason people don't like this angle is because you:

A) Hate JBL irrationally

and

B) Seem to think HBK is some kind of God who can't be made to look weak, ever

I've said before that HBK should be IC Champ...

I think it would still turn MVP face against a heel JBL...They're already making him a face, and having him go over JBL would only make the fans love him more.

I don't irrationally hate JBL. I think you irrationally love him. HBK is not some sort of God, but he has put a hell of a lot more of himself into the company, and deserves more than to be JBL's lacky until Royal Rumble. I've said in a few threads, that I'm worried this could hurt HBK's legacy, because the fans hate JBL so much, that any affiliation with him, could stop HBK from being as over with the crowd, as he was when he had the feud with Jericho.

Doubtful it would have worked out as well, but maybe it would have. MVP's face turn is going fine on it's own, however.

I respect JBL because he's a good wrestler and an excellent mic worker. I have no idea why everyone hates him so bad, when week in and week out he proves he's a strong upper midcard heel, who can hang with the main event whenever he needs to.

Actually, what HBK deserves is to earn his paycheck and do what Vince tells hm to. Good thing for HBK that Vince is booking him in a brilliant angle.

The whole thing is just building to one glorious Sweet Chin Music, which will shoot HBK into WM hugely over. In the end, HBK will be remembered in this angle as the man who triumphed over the evil, controlling, maniac in JBL. It's not going to hurt his legacy in the slightest.

Want to know the real reason this feud sucks? JBL is terribly boring. I don't care what you say, he gets booed out of boredom, not because he's a good heel. He used to be a decent heel, how he's just boring.

I made a thread about it, but I can't be bothered going to find it to post here. I will later.
