[Official] All Things Becca Thread

we are developing a nice little gravshift on here once again, a harkening back to the olden days, with Me, KB, NSL, AZ Cain, and owning JohnTenta4HOF over and over and over

I always wanted to be a part of the original Night Shift.

Also Norcal, I've been pitching the idea of Wrestlezone University. The idea is that as you said there are a lot of idiot newbs out there. They need to be educated on old school and what is right and what is wrong. Post matches, explain the buildup and why they're great.

You could leave me up to a vote...

Set up a poll asking the posters - and whoever they pick "wins" (?)

I don't want to pick, and this could get ugly.

What exactly would my duties as "protege" be?? Don't suck?

sounds like a good thing to enhance the "vintage video" sub forum me and Sly are pushing for. hmmmmm.

and the Orignal night shift was FTW. barely ANYONE is still here from it. I actually think I might be the only one, since CM doesnt post really

I'd like to think I'm not an "idiot noob", but it sounds good...I wouldn't mind a little more info on the old school...

Yeah, I had seen all of them, but was obviously too young to know what was going on for those. I had watched all the tapes from it, and a bunch of older Survivor Series and Starrcades, and loved them...But, that's basically all the knowledge I have on older guys. I've seen some old OLD stuff...Like a match with Dusty Rhodes where he busted open Tully Blanchard with a roll of nickels...

Great match...

My vivid memories, sadly, are guys like Kok B Ware, Junkyard Dog, Big John Studd, Hercules, Hillbilly Jim...

My favorite match of all-time was/is Rick Rude and Warrior in the cage...I have no clue what show it was...

That would be Summerslam 1990 from Philadelphia, PA. It was billed as a double main event with Hulk Hogan and Earthquake being the other half. Also on the show is the greatest tag team match of all time in Demolition vs. the Hart Foundation in a 2/3 falls match.

Yeah see...I'm not that good...

There was also a really good match between Jake Roberts and Junkyard Dog, and I think the stipulation was, that one had to give up their "pet"...

Obviously Jake won...

Well factor in that that was the first wrestling tape I ever had. I think I've seen that show roughly 400 times all the way through, not to mention I watched Hogan/Quake last night.

Because JohnTenta4HOF was pushing Quake as the best guy to never hold the title??

I used to watch those tapes for hours at my grandma's house, so they all run together.

The one show I can separate from the rest, was the outdoor Summerslam where Hogan beat 'Zuna after he only had the belt for like 5 minutes. 'Taker wrestled The Giant...Decent card

That was WM 9 actually from Las Vegas. It was Giant Gonzales, formerlly El Gigante in WCW. And no, I just love old WWF matches.

And KB loves OCW, he got stressed about the foum deleting about 300 posts that he'd put hours into. I'm sure all posters would do the same if 300 posts of theres were deleted.

There is an easy solution to this, do the same thing I did with the Music Asylum, write up your shit in Word or something, then save it, and copy and paste, that way if the forum deletes his shit, he just has to go find the saved match and repost it like nothing ever happened, problem solved, BTW why the hell would you type something so damn long directly to the forum?, if your going to put that much work into something you'd think you'd want to be able to save your work in case something went wrong

That was the comedy era of wrestling. It was so gimmicky it was insane and it was all for kids. The adults and older fans got sick of it and wanted something new. Then there was this idea to turn Hogan heel......
