NxT TakeOver Dallas

1) No it isn't.

Really? You gush about him all the time more than anyone els so I suppose I just assumed. I'm sorry to tell you though that every other wrestling fan not basing their opinion on nostalgia would rather watch a Nakamura than a Warrior in this day and age, seven days a week and twice on Sunday. You literally didn't need a shred of wrestling ability to be a huge star in his day, just a look. He's the main evidence for that.

2) Ultimate Warrior has had 60000 western fans going apeshit for him and 10 million tuning in to watch him, something that Nakamura will never, ever have.

Honestly the fact that you had to quantify the criteria strictly for "Western" fans is laughable. I'm so utterly sick of you and others on here basically saying that Asian people don't count like Americans do. It is flat out racist. Nakamura has wrestled in front of multiple crowds that large and held them in the palm of his hands in the main event on at least two I can think of. Oh and his matches were actually good, something we can say about a grand whopping total of about three MAYBE four matches in Warrior"s entire career. If pleasing crowds is of such importance to you then you should be happy with that match since they blew the fucking roof off (in front of a crowd the same size as Warrior wrestled the vast majority of his WWE career in front of).

This match is going to be garbage if they keep stopping it, man. How many times has Haitch himself had a crimson mask? Once in a while, it's fine.

You probably could, yes. I'm not saying the match was shit, I'm saying it wasn't incredible ***17/32 stars to use your terminology.

What Sam said exactly summed that match up to me. If you put these matches in front of a wrestling audience that had never seen any of these wrestlers and polled them, it would probably rank behind the women and the tag match.

Seems like a weird way to judge a match. Why should a match happen in some weird vacuum devoid of context?

And I don't even know if I agree with that anyway. There was story in every sequence of that match. Beautifully crafted, moreso than any match on the card so far.

So why wasn't anyone else as over as him except Hogan? Why wasn't the crowd going apeshit for The Warlord? I white knight for the Warrior because people like you don't understand the value in mass appeal or how rare that is.

Get off your high horse. I'm not disputing that he is popular in Japan, but the fact that guys like Albert and Scott Norton are big there proves they have a different taste. The WWE is a western promotion and I am a western fan. Nakamura did nothing in that match to appeal to me nor do I think to many western fans unfamiliar with him or the style. It remains to be seen if I am right or not. I hope I'm not, I hope I grow to like him but on tonight's evidence in unlikely to think much beyond "he's a good seller".
