NorCal's Podcast

Norcal's quick. Got a few good laughs.

I definitely agree with KB on Breeze coming up to the main roster. He just screams Adam Rose II. He's definitely better but I really doubt Vince cares about that.

I also like the idea of Breeze debuting as Miz's fashion consultant and disagree with Norcal about them not being able to do that due to the character he's established in NXT( if that's what he meant, anyway.) I think Norcal thinks NXT is bigger than it really is. Even if every single person who owns the Network watches NXT, and they don't, that's still only 1/3 or 1/4 of Raw's average audience. I'm not knocking it, just saying that most people watching would still have no idea who these guys coming up are. Neville benefitted from debuting on the night after Mania and even then he got a mediocre reaction when they were in England.

Also agree with Norcal on Extreme Rules across the board, really. Now that I've successfully completed one of these, I'm gonna go back and listen to the prior ones I've missed. You guys are surprisingly pleasant to listen to.

Let me rephrase that; I don't hate the idea.

Just finished listening to the Ty episode. I honestly intended to tap out after the wrestling talk but I ended up finishing it. I'm not going to give some thought out review as I'm quite tired at this point, but I enjoyed it.

Alright, some random thoughts...

First off, I forgot to comment in my last post regarding the Extreme Rules preview show, that Noral is 100% right when he mentions just how over Lana will be when she lets the hair down and goes Pro-America. It will be the biggest pop a Diva has gotten in many, many years.

I thought you guys were way too nice to Sheamus/Zigger. I thought that match stunk and the fact it took them 5 minutes in the post match to finally get around to what everyone with a brain in their head could see what was coming, was beyond ridiculous.

The Tag Match was DEFINITELY the match of the night and Norcal breaking down why, with how they got out of WWE's regular formula BS regarding tag matches, is exactly right. I agree too that it was the best tag match since Shield/Rhodes Bros.

The King of the Ring breakdown was hilarious because it was so true. Just mindbogglingly rushed on WWE's part. I couldn't even really fault Cole for fucking it up to the extent he did.

I agree with Nate above on his thoughts on Breeze/NXT.

Great stuff though guys. The chemistry between you two is growing with each episode.

Oh, and lastly, is "Shockmaster" our Shocky? Or someone else?

Actually that was me.

Indeed, that is the Shocky in question.

Oh okay. I never realized Shocky was that into comic books and the like.

I dont think anyone quite did. He and I text about movie news / creative projects involving comic cannon pretty much daily. Everyone is gonna need to bring their pocket protectors, glasses held together with tape, and pristine virgitiny along for Nerdmania 2014, as it will be

he frequented the comic book thread & pretty much every thread involving comics, & comicbook movies quite a bit, or at least he use to. I didn't know he was an archeologist, which I am faaaaaaaar more interested in hearing about.

NorCal loved the Tag TEam Title match on Sunday, and someone else did as well. On today's podcast, Austin called it the best tag match he's seen in years.

Listening to this while being as tired as I am is probably not a good idea, keep dozing off during the draft talk.

Okay this is a problem I've had with both Ty appearances. Ty's audio is super loud and Norcal is quiet.

That's odd. I don't think NorCal had said anything about me sounding loud on his end.

I'll do some checking on my end, but I'm not 100% on why my mic would be a lot louder.

That's interesting. I've been in the same position from the computer and with no mic on any show but it's changed. Methinks that would be on Norcal's end. Then again, I've thought it sounded fine every time.
