NFL Week 17 LD

Why? He and Cruz are the reason we're going to make the play-offs barring divine intervention.

Nicks has been 50/50. He's either having a great, solid game receiving or he's treating the ball like it's a hot potato. Manningham has been quiet. We lack a receiving TE despite Ballard trying his hardest, he's a poor man's Jermichael Finley in that he can have average games but he'll still drop it a ton.

The running game hasn't been great. Tynes is an unreliable kicker. The saving graces of our injured, beat-up D have been Jason Pierre-Paul and Antrelle Rolle but we're heavily ineffective against the run (my big fear for next week against Atlanta).

Eli's decision making, accuracy, power and generally ability to find someone open when he needs to is what has us in the play-offs.
I get that Manning is a really good QB. But my problem is that everyone just gives him too much praise like if his some QB god. At least his praising isn't bad as Tebow.

I don't think anyone is saying Manning has been bad this year, just that Stafford has had a slightly better year, & is more deserving of a spot on the Pro Bowl roster.

No, Big Sexy said that there is no legitimate argument as to why Stafford didn't make the Pro Bowl. I think Manning and everyone at NBC made a very legitimate argument tonight.

I don't think Manning is light years ahead of Stafford. I just think he is a better QB.

Kill me, I apologize if I came off like a prick tonight. I really respect Big Sexy's opinions most of the time. I just think he is biased and bitter regarding his Lions getting left out.

It really doesn't matter, as I imagine either Brees or Rodgers will likely be in the SB & as a result won't want to risk injuring themselves in the meaningless glorified exhibition game that is the pro bowl. Stafford will likely be added to the roster as an alternate.

The most fucked up thing is that Stafford isn't even first alternate. Cam Newton is.

I am bias just like I'm sure you are biased towards your teams best players, but that doesn't change the fact that I haven't seen a legitimate argument for Manning getting in over Stafford. I've seen and heard plenty of arguments as to why Eli is very good and had a tremendous season but I have never disputed that. He just wasn't as good as Stafford this year and no one has proven to me that he has been. I'd make this same type of argument for a guy like London Fletcher to get in over Brian Urlacher.

Haha... fuck all you assholes hating on Tebow. So he had a bad couple of weeks, who gives a shit? The Pats loss was not his fault, btw.

The Broncos are winning next week and all of you will have to eat crow. I'm willing to make multiple sig bets on this. Pittsburgh's offense (Mendenhall is injured, and Big Ben still isn't 100%) is awful while Denver's defense looked really good today. Tebow will do enough to win next week. Bank on it.

Denver offense couldn't muster more than 3 fucking pts. against the Chefs, what the fuck makes you think they'll have any better luck against a tougher Pittsburgh defense? Tebow is gonna get killed out there next week.

I'm a Bills fans, over the past ten years our best guy has been our punter. I hate Shane Lechler for beating him out for the Pro Bowl every year.

Fair enough, I will stop trying. I never expected to convince you otherwise.

Fletcher deserves better. I loved that guy when he was a Bill. Good guy, good story.

Seriously? Compared to the Eli of yesteryear, this is a QB god we have leading the Giants. He's getting a lot of praise for upping his game considerably and is justifying his huge contract. He's looked so much better this year but I don't think he's getting the praised heaped on him so much to the point where it's undeserving.

He's got a lot of detractors out there still, who don't consider him to be 'elite' yet and even as a Giants fan, I don't think he is just yet. I rate him behind Rodgers, Brees, Peyton and Brady but in that fight between himself, Stafford, Rivers and Ryan for 5th best.

As the game went on Ben got a lot better. He was making better decisions and his passes were on target. Ben hasn't practiced a lot in a few weeks so I expected a rocky start.

I do think the Steelers win but it's going to be close.

O and Mendenhall sucks...

Strong words for a guy whose favorite team averages 35 points a game, and was held to 14 by the same "Chefs" defense. ;)

What's funny is that one of my cousins married a diehard Packers fan. My cousin and I had to give him a lot of shit at Christmas over the Packers/Chiefs game. Then he reminded us of last year's Superbowl and the fact we'll be watching this year's playoffs from home, and we didn't have much to say after that.
