NFL Week 17 LD

1. I think you're mixed up a bit on the Cruz/Manning relationship. Manning was bailed out by Cruz, not vice versa.

2. Yes, anyone can throw TDs to Johnson. He's thrown up 16 to him. That means he's thrown 24 TDs to everyone else, only 2 less than Eli has in total.

You tke Cruz away from Manning, he has a disastrous year. You take Megatron away from Stafford, he has a year like Eli had this year.

Nah, you take Cruz from Manning and he is making someone else a top 5 WR, you take Megatron away from Stafford and the Lions are drafting in the Top 10 next year.

I disagree Stafford does a pretty good job of spreading the ball around, also Eli Manning had one of the best seasons of his career this year largely due to the breakout performance of Cruz.

Jumping off the Tebow bandwagon after a few poor outings? Has he even made a full 16 starts yet? Plus they're probably gonna be in the playoffs due to Oakland sucking.

In his last 3 games his turned the ball over 10 times, and hasn't been able to to run for shit, he's been exposed. Defenses know exactly how to shut him down now. I don't expect him to do much in the playoffs.

More than a few poor outings. I didn't mind earlier cause we were winning but now he's causing us to lose games.

I mean, it could just be the god awful play calling of Fox/Mccoy, maybe a mixture of the both, but either way a change needs to be made.

Patience needs to be had. He had poor mechanics coming out and really only had 1 offseason to work on that due to the lockout. He makes some poor decisions, but they are fixable. An offseason of training camp as the #1 guy will help him greatly. I simply wouldn't wanna pull the plug on a guy that barely has a full season under his belt and was seen as pretty raw coming out of the draft. Will he be a bust? Possibly. But I don't think we can say that right now due to the fact that he hasn't been able to work in the offseason as the #1 guy yet. That shit matters.

If the Raiders lose then the Broncos will only have one victory over a team that finished the regular season above .500 and that came against the Bengals when Orton was still the qb. I don't like there chances in the playoffs regardless of if they win or lose today and unless Tebow greatly improves as a thrower in the off season then he is not the answer for them in the future.

That's great but they only played 2 teams above .500 when Tebow became the starter - Detroit and New England, both playoff teams with more talent. This Denver team isn't all that great, and it's not because Tebow is their QB. While he does contribute to the problem, the Defense is pretty overrated and their receivers have awful hands. For them to even be in the division title hunt is remarkable, really.

WRs can only catch balls that QBs throw. GSB, your entire argument against Matt Stafford is absolutely ridiculous. It's like stating that Joe Montana and Steve Young didn't deserve credit either, since they had Jerry Rice on their team. You have your logic bass ackwards. Calvin Johnson didn't receive for 5,000 yards, in fact 2/3rds of all of Stafford's yards went to other players. Matthew Stafford is having a better year than Eli Manning, and it is indisputable to anyone who is capable of looking past the Lions struggles for the last decade. I get it, you have a hard time believing anyone on the Lions could be that good...they are the Lions, and they suck, right? Get over your prejudice. Matt Stafford kicked Eli Maning's ass in stats this year.

Have you seen their division? You have to be pretty awful not to compete. KC was dead in the water a couple times this season yet if they hadn't lost last week in overtime they'd be playing for the division title today. And while Tebow is 0-2 against teams with winning records, Orton went 1-2. Maybe people are too quick to give up on Tebow but if that's true then the team was way too quick to give up on Orton considering the tough schedule he played early on. He had to play the Raiders with Jason Campbell and Run DMC, the Titans who went 9-7 and may be playoff bound, the 15-1 Packers, the Bengals who he beat, and then he got a half in against the Chargers.

at 1-4 I'm pretty sure the Broncos were thinking that they needed something to spark the team/fanbase and since they weren't likely to go to the playoffs (while that's an early judgment yes let's not forget SD began 4-1) they decided to see what they had in Tebow, if anything. They spent a first rounder on him and were at least going to give him a tryout since they weren't going anywhere with Orton. Tebow's been very up and down but if they can make the playoffs the organization would have to consider the season a success.
