He is like a bowling pin that refuses to go down. Just being drilled by Defenders, knocked around, but remaining up-right for an extra yard or two.
Still, he HAS been contained for the most part. It's the 2 end-arounds for a combined 79 yds that killed ATL.
Yeah, to be honest with NOTHING to lose except the game.. I have no clue why ATL is the team who's taken more chances on 4th down and tricks than Carolina.
We've went for it once on 4th (failed), and attempted the on-side kick out of nowhere. Beyond that, nothing.

So, Atlanta has benched their starters. I can only hope this means Stewart can bust off major runs and potentially a pair of TDs so it doesn't look like a complete loss in the end.

Atlanta will be the number 1 seed in the NFC and with Tampa Bay seeming have beaten New Orleans they are hoping for a NYG and GB lost today. New York can happen but I'm seriously doubting that Chicago will start their starters today with the number 2 seed locked up and I wouldn't like their chances if they do start them.
Would you look at... the Lions just notched their 4th win in a row. Yes, the Lions. While it doesn't mean anything (except for drafting position/scheduling) the Lions are out of the cellar for the first time in 3 years. Awesome.
Now if Stafford can get healthy, and they get some secondary help, this team could be a dark horse in the division this year.

According to ESPN.com, the Raiders are getting rid of Tom Cable. Figures I guess. He got them to .500 for the first time in at 8 years. Sounds like he needs to be let go to me too.

Sounds about right. Al Davis is probably pissed his team didn't get the first overall pick in the draft, to take another bust.
I'm still happy that KC won out over Denver and SD, so it doesn't suck nearly as much. However, it does still drag me down because I predicted Oakland to take the division in a shocker.. and I'm honestly unsure if ANYONE predicted KC to do what they've done.

Nobody talked about it yet, but the New York Jets just flat-out dominated the Buffalo Bills. It was a perfect game for the Jets (aside from 1 rookie mistake by the 40 year old Mark Brunell).
1. Brunell threw 2 TDs
2. Kellen Clemens played well, which he deserved after getting somewhat shafted by the team for the past 5 years
3. The D pitched a shutout (only TD was a Pick-6).
4. They finally got Joe McKnight the ball, and he went over 120 yards. Maybe letting Woodhead go wasn't as terrible a move as it looked all year.OK, that's not true at all.
5. 6 turnovers, 1 for a score, and they didn't even play their top 2 corners, or top 2 Safeties.
6. The O-Line was excellent for the most part
7. Brad Smith is the most electrifying player on the entire team, and it's a shame he'll likely be on a different team next year, and not be in the Pro Bowl (unless the Tennessee return guy doesn't go).
On to Non-Jets stuff:
Did anyone else see Falcons owner Arthur Blank get the Gatorade bath? I loved that.
and HUGE TD by Mario Manningham for the GEEEE-MEN. Looks like Tampa's not gonna get the miracle playoff berth unfortunately.

Seriously, the Giants have been shellshocked these past few weeks, and have been hurt and injured everywhere. They get in over GB, and fuck Tampa in the process, I just can't see how they'd be considered worth anything.
So, the other question is.. New Orleans (lost to Tampa) would face the West division winner if either GB, or NY wins. But if both manage to lose, and Tampa gets in.. NO's would then face Philly?? There is a huge difference there as to whether or not New Orleans makes another run to the Superbowl, or fails to get out of the Wildcard.

Not to crap on ya and join in on all the pointless Jet bashing.. but they did (in all fairness) face a Bills team who started Brian Brohm.
Also, the Bills Defense isn't exactly known for being dominate, so all Brunell doing there was potentially cause controversy for the Playoffs; should the Jets get rattled early in their Wildcard game, would they pull Sanchez for Brunell?

EDIT: I wanted someone to purposely injure Arthur Blank more, and it would've been more entertaining to me to see the players accidentally hit him with the bucket instead of just pouring it on him.

The Giants are MUCH, MUCH better then the NFC West winner. The Giants in fact would give the Eagles a hell of a matchup (as the first 53 minutes of the previous game would indicate). They gave up some big plays to the most electrifying, best big-play offense in the entire league, then played like shit against a preseason Super Bowl Contender Green Bay team.
The NFC West flat-out sucks.
New Orleans (11-5) clinched the 5 seed and as such clinched a matchup with the NFC West winner. The GB/NYG/TB playoff team will be the 6 seed with a 10-6 record, and a matchup with the Eagles.

You're fucking kidding me about Brunell, right? Dudes 40 years old and threw his first TD pass since November of 2006. Sanchez is the Jets Franchise QB. They're never benching him for Brunell (or Clemens) in the postseason. The only way either would see regular playing time would be if he got injured, and even then I think there's a better chance Brad Smith plays most of the snaps at QB.
Yes, the Bills were shit this year, but it was still important for the Jets. 11+ wins for the first time since 1998. They got struggling players rolling (even though the Bills suck, they needed to get McKnight rolling so that he can be useful in the postseason, they needed to get the D going, and did).
You're shitting me, right? Other then being the owner of a division rival, there's no reason to hate Arthur Blank. He's done a terrific job with that franchise.

I still honestly think that if Sanchez tosses up 2 INTs before half, and the Jets are tailing by more than 17 pts.. he gets pulled in favor of Brunell.
Franchise QB or not - if someone is failing, you pull them.
Carolina SHOULD HAVE pulled their "franchise QB" in Delhomme, in favor of Matt Moore, when he tossed his 3rd INT in that Cardinals playoff game. Definitely his 4th. He never should've made it to his 5th.
So, yeah.. if he stumbles, I don't think they wait to pull him in favor of a guy who just finished a game "hot".
Who are the Jets going to face? You'd have to hope it isn't a team with a high-powered offense, right? Because if it turns to a defensive game, then that SHOULD favor the Jets.

Two things comes through with this.
1. NY is fucked if it's the Colts, I'd say.
2. If Jacksonville gets in.. both NY AND Baltimore get happy wins.

They didn't pull Sanchez in the New England blowout. Sanchez gives them a better chance to win then Brunell, whether he's playing well or not. And again, I think there would be a better chance of Brad Smith playing QB then Brunell.
HUUUUUUGE difference in the Franchise QBs. Delhomme should have been pulled because he was not better then Moore. Sanchez is better then Brunell. Not to mention Delhomme SHOULD HAVE BEEN on his way out of Carolina and Moore was the better option.
If Indy wins, it'll be Indy. If Indy loses, it'll be KC. Either way, the Jets O has been very good as of late. The D had been struggling as of late (see the Chicago game), but the O has been good (see the Chicago and Pittsburgh games). If the D can get anywhere close to the 09 D (it can happen, they have more talent then the 09 team), they'll be EXTREMELY dangerous.
So because of his face you don't like him? That's pretty sad. He built that damn franchise, had it crumbled by Vick and Petrino, then rebuilt it again. He's easily one of the best owners in the league (especially of the new owners).
