Nexus Vs Nexus - Survivor Series

Devlin

Occasional Pre-Show
Both Daniel Bryan & Darren Young have been kicked out of the Nexus since it's inceptions, who is the next to go?

That's how I see it, the Nexus is showing cracks and I see it as only a matter of time before another Nexus member gets the boot or leaves. Justin Gabriel has been showing remorse for his actions and the other Nexus members have been questioning Barrett's leadership.

With the return of Daniel Bryan, the possibility for a Nexus Vs Nexus angle is huge (after he is done with The Miz).

Knowing the WWE, I see them doing a big guys vs little guys match.

Daniel Bryan will start to get into the ears of some of the Nexus members.
Justin Gabriel is obviously one of the Nexus members that will turn face, his style and finisher and to hard not to cheer for. I also see Heath Slater turning, his persona is to bright and generally cheerful to stay a heel when Nexus folds.

Barrett is the leader of the Nexus and a budding main eventer, he isn't turning, Otunga is a hate-able heel through & through, Sheffield (depending how things go with his injury) has been built up as a monster & Tarver is the only questionable one (he seemed to show remorse and talked about setting a bad example for his kids), I am unsure who will turn face out of him & Slater.

I will be sad to see this storyline end, but we don't want it going the way of the nWo and just going on forever (although with Season 2 of NXT coming to an end I wouldn't be surprised to see the Nexus ranks increase)

It seems that this is the inevitable conclusion to the Nexus saga, what does everyone else think?

I really like your idea however we need to see more of what Tarver can do because he seems to look like the weakest link in Nexus and I really think he has potential

I like this idea a lot. There seems to be nowhere else for them to go but to divide and multiply. If the NXT 2 Rookies were to join the storyline, I would split them up from the start. It would turn into an 8-on-8 Survivor Series match with the following two teams.

Nexus – Faces (need to work on the name for the Faces)
Gabriel
Slater
Young
Bryan
Kaval
Watson
Cannon
O’Neil

Nexus – Heels
Barrett
Otunga
Sheffield
Traver
Riley
McGillicutty
Harris
Cottonwood

After this match, I’d assume they would just all go their separate ways, with maybe a couple of them forming a Tag Team. This would help the Nexus stay on TV, and help the NXT 2 Stars get their foot in the door.

I like this idea, i have been hoping Joe/Michael joins the nexus to be honest. here is what the teams would like like and why.

Barrett's Nexus
Barrett-Leader
Otunga-Kind of co leader
Michael Mcgillicutty-He just looks like a natural heel
Alex Riley-He is the biggest heel in NXT 2
Cottonwood-Giant, heel
Harris-he looks like he would fit in with the nexus
Tarver-Well, he just there

Face Nexus
Daniel Bryan-Biggest face of NXT 1, hates the Nexus
Kaval-Biggest face of NXT 2
Justin Gabriel-He to me seems like the first person who would willingly leave the nexus and his finisher screams face/wants to cheer for
Skip Sheffield-They would need a power house on the team two/smaller, all faster guys vs powerhouse wouldnt work & he seems like a friendly powerhouse
Titus o'Niel-same as Skip
Heath Slater-He scream face
Percy Watson-he is flashy and could add charisma to the mix.... OH YEAH! lol

this really isn't a bad idea. the only monkey wrench that's been thrown into the mix now is Skip Sheffield and his major ankle injury. last i read, he needs surgery and will be out 4-6 months.

that said, it's pretty safe to say that he won't be in any matches by the time Survivor Series rolls around. but maybe use that as part of the storyline.

maybe Nexus kicks Sheffield out for being weak and injured and for abandoning them when they needed him the most. so he's out. and now we have try-outs from nXt season 2 to join the Nexus or something.

as far as what to do with all these guys once this angle dies down, i'd still like to see the stable of The Fortunate Sons, not too dis-similar from what Orton had going on with Legacy. there's plenty of second generation superstars that can be included in this kind of stable and there's plenty more with whom good feuds could take place.

Sorry to be a wet blanket fellas, but Survivor Series as a PPV Concept no longer exists. Thus, all of these freely exchanged ideas have no shred of reality or possibility, at least for this year.

Funny then, that its still listed on the WWE site as a PPV in November! :wtf: I was under the impression that they were gonna ditch the concept but then kept it, so clearly you're a bit behind on your news

I think it's a pretty good idea, but the only thing is that Skip is out with injury. Anyway I think if Skip wasn't injured he would be a face so there is atleast one big guy on the face team. Hopefully Skip can make it to Survivor Series because I really want to see Nexus Vs Nexus, if Skip can't make it then it'll be handicap match and I can't see that happening.

P.S: Survior Series isn't scrapped.

Am I the only person who actually likes Justin Gabriel as a heel?
When the whole "Nexus" angle started I remember thinking "Justin Gabriel cannot work as a heel", but I honestly think he does a good job of it. Since going heel he has had a hardness to his face and allowed his hair to go a bit messy and I think he looks good.

Anyway, back on topic.

Yeah I suppose I can see this happening as, like you said, I'm not sure how much further Nexus can go without breaking into two feuding factions. Throw in season 2 guys and you have the basis for a fantastic feud of stables battling for supremacy.

As far as survivor series, no it isn't scrapped. WWE really needs to keep it's "big 4" as they are (Rumble, Mania, Summerslam, and Survivor Series). It's true that we don't see as many traditional SS Matches (4on4 or 5on5) that we used to, but the name is synonymous with WWE and needs to be kept imo.

No no no. have Nexus from season 1 vs nexus seaon 2, with bryan and young replacing watson and cottonwood. that way, only 1 nexus would exist. i plan on getting survivor series, and thats what i want to happen. or have mcguillicutty and riley on the season 1 team, and kaval, bryan, young, wait. let me write it out. barret will hopefully be champion at this time, so hes not in this match, and skips's hurt, so

Nexus 1 Nexus 2

Riley, captain Kaval, captian
Mcguillicutty Bryan
Cannon Young
Watson
O Neil Gabriel
Harris slater
Tarver

The last couple of weeks John Cena has been talking about how the Nexus just aren't that dominant and we have even heard Michael Tarver talk about that matter. Tarver said that since we kicked out Darren Young and Skip Sheffield got injured people are saying we aren't dominant anymore... What if? After what happened at the season finale of NXT 2 Nexus recruit Michael McGillicutty and Alex Riley to join them?

You know, I'm going out on a limb here and saying that there won't be anybody eliminated from Season 2 going to Nexus. By the way it looked on NXT, Rhodes was doing the instructing on the beat down, so I can see WWE giving him the Fortunate Sons gimmick along with Harris and Micheal.

Riley doesn't need a tag team to become a star unless it's with The Miz. He's the next Miz in my opinion and the attitudes are just alike in my honest opinion.

As for the others... well Kaval's going to Smackdown because he wouldn't survive on Raw for a minute. Titus only has a bark, Lucky is going back to FCW, and Eli Cottonwood (I pray) is getting the Future Endeavored letter some time soon.

However, for the Nexus vs. Nexus Survivor Series match that OP had in mind, I like it... Only it leaves the two teams at 4 vs 4 when the Classic SS Match is 5 vs. 5. With that said, I'm seeing HHH being the captain for the Heel Nexus (you know going along with the IWC's built storyline) and the Face Nexus being captained by John Cena. Of course, Daniel Bryan and Wade Barrett would be the shining forces of both teams... that's just how I see it breaking down though.
