"New Rules" with IDR

It's Damn Real!

The undisputed, undefeated TNA &
That's right, I outright stole the title from Real Time with Bill Maher, deal with it.

New rule:

If you have to justify and/or close all of your posts that have anything to do with TNA with a constant slight against the company for it's failures or it's inability to remain consistent or the idea that it doesn't use logic, you will be red-repped by me, no questions asked.

This is the type of thing I'm talking about:

I think Nash and Sting win dirty here allowing the fued to continue on until BFG, I doubt that this match will be anything special or even anything good. I still have no clue what exactly they are fueding about, apparantly they are both cancers but it's TNA so that is expected.

Wow! That's a bit petty, don't you think.

Aren't we supposed to be supporting discussion and not red repping it for off-the-cuff comments?

Just sayin'.

It's annoying, Dave. It's the equivalent to those morons in the WWE section who have to add in that "Cena only knows five moves" into every fucking post they make, regardless of what the topic is.

I support discussion just fine, and I think you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who disagrees that actually visits the TNA section, so red-repping the off-the-cuff comments is A-OK in my eyes. Hell, I get red-repped for posting anything that even supports the company by various toolbags on this forum, so why not return the favor? ;)

OK, fair enough.

It's your way of doing things and I respect that. Plus, I agree that it could be annoying.

After all red rep is in it's original intend a way to tell someone "I disagree". So really it's not that bad is it? Because he simply disagrees with the attack at TNA.

I'm actually OK with people attacking TNA — I deal with it on a daily basis. What i'm combatting specifically here is these annoyingly juvenile cop-outs that are done whenever someone doesn't "get" why something happened, so they simply assert "Well, it's TNA, so nothing is supposed to make sense".

Why? Because these same ass clowns are no where to be found when something comes full circle.

Looks like I'd better prepare for plenty of red-rep.

If I have a gripe against TNA and I wish to verbalize it, I'm going to do it whether the TNA advocates like it or not. Hell, it's not like I red-rep everyone that speaks shitty about the WWE. Opinions are like ass holes... everyone's got one.

IDR, I honestly think you're being wayyy too sensitive about it. Face facts... TNA has HUGE shoes to fill and has a real Titan to compete with. WWE fans and other fans that are looking for pro-wrestling alternatives are going to be tough on the product and keep it under the microscope. Since you're a big supporter of that product, you need to roll with the punches and keep hoping that TNA will continue its improvement. But pissing everyone off with red-rep? Come on bro... grow up a little.

And I am A-OK with all of that, D – I don't think you realize that. I have no issue with anyone talking poorly of the product, so long as it's done with reason and not as some juvenile cop out that's moonlighting as a desperate attempt to get rep from other users who use the same tactics to take pot shots at the company.

I watch every week when guys like you or Jack-Hammer or a number of others systematically criticize the product, and have either of you ever gotten red rep from me for it? Nope. Hell, most of the time you get green rep, especially if I think your post is well organized and concisely laid out.

Look at the post up there – its a cop out argument. The user doesn't understand why Sting and Nash are involved in this storyline, so he blames the entirety of TNA on it. Had he said "I don't really understand why this is happening, which seems to happen often with TNA's story lines right now", I'd have had no issue with it, but instead, he proposed it as some childish back-handed comment to justify his entire post.

Am I being petty? Probably, but I'm fed up.

Like I told Dave, if you guys had to deal with this shit as often as I do with users constantly berating one or two aspects of the WWE with almost every single post they make, regardless of the topic, I think you'd understand.

I'll red-rep with you, IDR. Some posters can be real idiots. At least offer a valid point. It's not like its hard to see one.

That's my gripe in a nutshell, dude. It's a cop out. It's not a valid criticism against the company that you actually thought out. You just jumped on the bandwagon of shitting on TNA by providing as little thought-out criticism as possible, instead just blaming the company for "doing what it always does", which is hardly the case in reality.

no people don't shit on wwe day in and day out at all.

But really, I don't care. Do what thou wilt, IDR.

Not the same. Shitting on the WWE and actually providing a real reason should be acceptable. Morons who just write "WWE sucks. Cena only knows five moves" deserve the red rep they get, just as the same users who do similar in TNA deserve theirs.

TNA frustrates me. With the talent they have, they could be so much more. They do do some things well though, like the MCMG/BMI series.

I'm not saying the idiots don't deserve a health dose of red for being just a hair above spam. Just pointing out that it's hardly a TNA-only thing.

Oh of course not, man – again, I'm not combatting anyone talking badly of the company. By all means – it helps drive discussion, actually. I just hate the users that post TNA slights as cop outs like that.

This really only makes me want to go post there and shit all over the company. It would also give me a case of the giggles if you repped me for it because there is no way I would create a post worthy of red rep so really it would be because of your bias towards the company and not a case of fair and equal observation.

The "worth" of red rep is a relative term, so it wouldn't necessarily be because of my bias and not a case of fair and equal observation at all.

You'd "deserve" it just for doing so as a means to try to get me to do so. :lmao:

Bottom line is that anyone can rep anyone for any reason. That's why it's there. And many people take that rep seriously why most others do not. Therefore, IDR can do whatever he wants. There was no need for an announcement.

His reason for doing it can be viewed as being just as stupid as his reasons for NOT doing it. So I'm fine with it.

It isn't a matter of me doing it to do it, it would be a matter of you reading a post with the expectation of giving it negative rep for being anti-TNA to begin with not matter how strong the argument in said post may be. Isn't that the thought process you are entering with? If not then you may want to original the edit post because it would seem otherwise.

You also say that the negative rep will only be received by those who fail to use ''logic'' in their posts if it seems to be tilted in a non-TNA point of view. Isn't the term logic all relative as well? You would be the ultimate judge of that seeing as you are the jury deciding whether or not something is worthy of your punishment.

Just saying, it seems like a slight abuse of power to red rep somebody because they don't agree with you. If it's just a shit post in general, sure why not. I'm also not trying to tell a mod how to do their job for anybody that wishes to bitch about that (again). Simply pointing out what many are probably thinking.

Abuse of power – what power? I'm not banning them for it, or even warning or infracting—I'm doing what every user on this forum has the "right" to do in repping someone for their post. It being good or bad is at my discretion as a user, it has no bearing on my being a mod, unless mods are now held to the rule of not red-repping other users and I simply wasn't told or hadn't noticed?

Logic is certainly relative as well, as is all things we discuss here. In fact, anything posted is relative, relatively speaking, but that doesn't mean that a general concept of what is logical and what isn't can't be applied (as it often is anyway).

Are you telling me that someone who presumed, logically, that the Great Khali is a better wrestler than Desmond Wolfe isn't considered wrong by the majority of the forum?
