NBA Playoffs Round 1 LD

I would be watching but this ATL/ORL game is pretty well in hand. So I'll wait for a few minutes in what should be the best game of the night.

Portland over Dallas is too trendy of a pick, I could see the Mavs playing with a big chip on their shoulder this series.

Nobody should underestimate the Pacers or Grizzlies. The Pacers had the Bulls' number last night and the Grizz currently have a 1-point lead over the Manu-less Spurs with 7:30 left in the 4th.

Celtics season over? Let's not jump to conclusions. They may not have Shaq or Perkins, but they have more experience and chemistry than this Knicks team. Amar'e, Carmelo, and Chaucey are great players, I'm not denying that, it's jsut that the Knicks aren't used to being in this situation anymore. I feel like it's gonna be a very close series that's gonna be very fun to watch.

I'm concerned about Orlando. Dwight gave them 46 and 19 and Jameer had 27 yet they still lost by 10. They got nothing from the supporting cast. Arenas, Richardson, Turkoglu, and Bass all need to step up or Orlando will be out in the first round.

I don't think that's gonna happen, KB. If all you've got is CP3 and occasionally Emeka Okafor stepping up, I hate to say it but you're not gonna go far for a while. Of course I may be wrong, I didn't follow the Hornets as much this season.

The injury to David West was huge for the Hornets. He was the teams leading scorer and second best player. I still think the Hornets may steal one at home but that's about it.

Man, the Grizzlies are really stepping up. They better not blow this lead, cause if they don't they will have the HUGE advantage on Tuesday and ultimately at home.

Oh my God, I feel bad for whoever that guy just called The Red Rocket. That has to be the worst nickname EVER for an athlete.

Let's not forget that while Ginobili may be out for the Spurs, Rudy Gay is out for Memphis. Gay along with Randolph is Memphis's best player.

That's very true. It just goes to show that Memphis can get it done without key components.

And with that said, congratulations, Memphis. Your team just won their first playoff game in franchise history. So let me ask you this question: Is this only because of Manu? Or do the Grizzlies have what it takes to take down the big dogs with what they've got?

Hornets lead the Lakers at the half, and if I'm not mistaken, I think I just saw Kobe being helped to the back for a split second. That is huge for the Lakers. Hope for their sake that he's alright. I didn't see what happened, I'm switching between this game, Caps/Rangers and the BoSox.

I cant fuckin beleive Jefferson missed that three.

I dont think anyone in the history of the NBA has been that wide open in that kind of situation. Staggering.

Chris Paul is an absolute beast. When he's at 100% he is right up there with Derrick Rose as the best point guard in the league.

Rose is the better player, but Paul is the better Point Guard, IMO.

And you guys know I hate the Lakers organization with a passion, but that was a fluke win today. The Lakers will still win the series 4-1.

Without a doubt Paul is the better pure point guard as Rose is more of a scorer, but when at 100% Paul is just as good of an overall player as Rose if not better. Go back to 07-08 and 08-09 for Chris Paul and he was averaging between 21-23 point per game in those two seasons. He also averaged over 11 assists and around 50% shooting. Then last year he was bothered by the knee injury and missed a lot of time and he spent most of this year still trying to get to 100%. Rose averaged 25 ppg this year but shot under 45% and only averaged just under 8 assists per game. Paul is also the better defender.

About to watch a bit of the Celtics/Knicks game before the TNA PPV starts. Let's go C's! I think we'll be able to get through the Knicks without much difficulty but I question how far we can go after that without Shaq or Jermaine O'Neal.

We have Jermaine, he just took the tip.

2nd foul on Carmelo and we're 90 seconds in.

Jermaine has been back for a couple weeks and is starting now, Shaq should be back at some point in the first round but I doubt he'll stay healthy. Guys like Big Baby, Kristic, and Troy Murphy need to step up.

Big Baby's always come up in the clutch for us in the postseason. Why he can't do that in the regular season I don't know, but it really doesn't matter. But I'm doubting the other guys' abilities when it matters. It might just be because I'm racist when it comes to basketball.
