I turned it off. Warriors couldn't sneeze without the refs calling a foul.
I thought that was happening game 3 as well. Well played by Cleaveland tonight, but 10 fouls in the first quarter is hectic.

This could quite possibly be the best offensive game that I've ever seen in the NBA. It's definitely been fun. I hope that Cleveland can keep it up. If they were to come back from 3-0 down, could you just imagine? Just imagine.......
Why not? Does the media (and consequently the fans) not judge players based, many times, solely on number of championships they win? Do we not proclaim great athletes failures if they don't win championships?I never said they didn't switch. In fact I have no problem with players switching teams at all, but for the best player to go to the best team though to win a championship, just doesn't make it credible for me.
And I'm saying that's such a poor outlook on basketball. Why is a player choosing his destiny somehow worse than someone else choosing his destiny?I dunno if this is directed at me, because I've never said that. The only thing I have said which was like 1 million pages ago, picking your own team compared to getting traded or drafted to a team makes so much difference towards the players legacy, not the franchises.
Yeah, I wasn't quite getting it either. But arent you arguing there is a difference between pre 1988 and post 1988? / Disregard the pre/post 1988 comment, I have no idea what I was getting at
No, we're talking about superstars changing teams to chase a ring.Yeah impressive considering the age, but the point was he wasn't even a quarter of himself, so moving then instead of 96/97 is a big difference.
I absolutely would, but we are talking about 4th options averaging 20+ and 7 boards a game, not third options.
At least it made sense to one of us.Again, I wasn't talking about how good they were when they left. The point was these people more or less chose the best team for a championship, which I have no problem with, just if you wanna take credit for it is when I take an issue with it. And there is more of a difference between Butler/George (in their primes ) against Malone compared to Allen going to Miami and Malone. That probably makes 0 sense but it's making sense to me as I write it down.
Your argument = your position.I wasn't arguing with anyone, you quoted me first. I was saying the NBA would be fucked if Cavs got a 4th superstar.
All players have that option, if they are good enough.Nah great call, absolutely. I agree with you. I just ain't gonna give credit to them over someone who didn't have that option. That's a bit of a swing from my end because I was initially arguing that they don't need a 4th superstar (which I stand by). If someone wants to go work with their friends, well done, I wish I could do that. But this is such a one off thing that you don't need to change the landscape of the NBA to hopefully win 4 games before golden state.
I don't agree. I don't see the Cavs winning Game 6. I can see them coming out with the same intensity in Game 5, but that level of intensity is just nearly impossible to sustain game after game, especially if you win a couple and start feeling more confident.Oh, Cavs are winning game 6 if they can force it.
Warriors MUST win game 5 or they're fucked. Like, LeBron will be the biggest fucking shark you've ever seen and he'll smell blood in the water. Game 6 at home? Cavs will win for sure. At that point, if Cavs force game 7, we could very well see the greatest comeback ever for the second year in a row.
I believe the series is decided in game 5. Either Golden State win and take the title or Cavs make it 3-2 and they'll win 6 and 7.
I'd love to see a Game 7 this year. So would the NBA, the ratings would be off the charts. But when the Cavs lost Game 3, I think the chances of a Game 7 were all but ended.
If I were Cleveland or L.A. I'd seriously consider a straight up trade of CP3 and Griffin for Love and Irving. Griffin plays more physical then Love and CP3 would help the offense become more efficient as he likes to actually pass and play team ball instead of iso ball. Also, the way that Doc wants L.A. to play would be better with Irving and Love. Doc wants CP3 to be more aggressive and he likes for Griffin to take all of those mid range jumpers. Well, that would work with Irving and Love since Irving is more of a scorer than CP3 and Love is a better shooter than Griffin. I think that it would benefit both teams greatly.
