Rob Van Dam - I don't think he's bringing anything to TNA. There seems to be no fire to him and he's kinda just keeping it steady while they find someone to take over from him. I don't think he adds anything special to TNA.
Jeff Jarrett - I was a huge Jarrett fan, as a jumped up mid-carder that is. He's never been truly over (he had Triple H "circa 2003" heat at best). Although beating him shows a guy is heading in the right direction, the fact is he wouldn't be shit if he hadn't started it.
Hulk Hogan - Has made some dreadful choices for his picks for the face of TNA but, on the whole, has actually added to TNA. The fact that people were let down by the Monday Night attempt says something about what they thought a Hogan led TNA could achieve. He's not there yet but, I still see he could add something to TNA (when he spends less time harping on about himself like he did in the ECW segment this last week)
Kevin Nash - Has helped to an extent, but also pissed all over people when he had the chance (See Chris Sabin). The fact is being in there with him moves someone up a notch, but Nash seems to never be presented as equal with the lower level guy that he's "helping"
Mick Foley - It's not TNA's fault but, from Foley's willingness to do what's right for business from his WWE days, it's not such a big thing to beat him now and that's really negated what he could do for TNA.
Tommy Dreamer - The guy was a joke in the original ECW, a bigger joke in WWE and his interview the other week carried on the joke theme in TNA. He seems like a top bloke but, he's not going to help establish anybody.
Team 3D - They can make a tag team look great but, as the last few weeks have shown, the tag teams in TNA are talented enough to get a great reaction without the Dudleys being involved.
After Angle, my pick is:
Sting - After years of him not giving a toss about wrestling my respect for Sting returned when TNA was first building Joe up. During the tag match PPV main event Sting quite happily played the set up man for Joe's hot tag and held his hand out showing Joe to be his equal. He's not lost enough to be a joke, and is in good enough shape (with the best mike skills of his career) that, being involved with him can really move someone to the top. Plus he's not tainted with that "ex-WWE old guy" tag.
Another guy I'd give major props to is Mike Tenay. He might not wrestle but the guy is a great PBP commentator and adds a lot to each TNA event. You replace him with the years past his prime Jim Ross or someone like Josh Matthews or Todd Grisham and it's sure move TNA down a few pegs
