in the end i went with road warriors because they were a true definition of tag team whereas BOD wereent a career tag team so ill give it to road warriors bsed on that...and the fact that they were a badass team, not to be messed with...

I never really thought that the Road Warriors were that intimidating. I think it was te ace paint. Even at a young age, when I was supposed to 'believe' , it was tough to suspend disbelief enough to think that they sat and put make up on before coming out. BOD as a team were far more intimidating than LOD. On look alone, I'd actually go with Kronik. Two big guys ready to shit kick. That or the Harris twins, who always looked like they walked out of a street fight.

While the Road Warriors were intimidating, I also think that the combination of Kane and The Big Show, during their 2005-6 Championship run was intimidating immensely, I mean come on! You have Barney The Big Red Monster (I mean Kane) and the Worlds Largest Athlete before he lost some weight, who do you look at to be the weak link in that pairing?

My Nephew was shit scared of their duel entrance, lol.

Road Warriors HANDS DOWN. Powers of Pain and Demolition were rip offs. Taker and Kane aren't intimidating compared to the LOD in their prime,.

LOD is the obvious choice, but if you had to think outside the box im surprised no one has brought up the APA. People paid them money to take out other people, thats pretty intimidating..

I have to agree with everyone else that The Road Warriors/LOD where not just the most intimidating tag team of all time but the best all around ever. They ruled the 80's and 90's. They were so over that every other promotion had to create their own version (Demolition/Blade Runners). They were also ble to keep themselves relevant at a stage in their careers where most folks can only work the nostalgia angle (LOD 2000/Droz angle).

However I'd like to give an honorable mention to Colossal Connection since they weren't even in the Pole. You've got Andre The Giant and Haku, even though its all entertainment i still wouldn't want to be alone in the same room with those two. Although they weren't around very long they did hold the titles. They also beat a number of hall of fame worthy tag teams (The Hart Foundation/The Rockers/Demolition). If i'm correct I do believe this was the last angle that used Andre as an in-ring performer, before being limited to run-ins and interviews. Lets also not forget the third member, the best manager of all time Bobby The Brain.

I' surprised no one mentioned Harlem Heat, or the Outsiders, but i agree with most people, when it comes to intimidating tag teams the two that come to mind are the Road Warriors/LOD and the Brothers of Destruction, talk about two teams that kicked ass and took names........

I would have to say Kane and Undertaker from the last generation. This generation has to be the Usos. They probably have the best and most intimidating entrance currently in WWE.

I like all the previous post on most intimidating tag teams but I have two teams that are always forgotten but my favorite and they were the brawlers and sometimes overlooked teams: The Steiner Brothers and Doom (Ron Simmons & Butch Reed)

These two teams brought the pain to L.O.D. IF THE SCRIPT ALLOWED because they wanted the other teams like L.O.D., to shine but Ron Simmons and Scott Steiner a.k.a. Big Poppa Pump went on to shine individually.

IF we are going solely on looks, I would say the Brothers of Destruction.

The way I decided was this: I left my job at 1am in Philadelphia and took a dark back alley home to my house. If I saw LOD I would be scared but I would be PETRIFIED if I walked down that alley and saw the Undertaker and Kane. Two 7 footers looking they way they do in their ring gear. Yeah they take the cake on that.

IF we made this decision based on their characters and who they were in the wrestling world I would be more scared of the Power Trip. Austin and HHH are two of the baddest MFers to grace the squared circle and would do absolutely anything to destroy you. And both of them at the time they were the PT were in pretty good shape. I mean Austin always has the beer gut but he is Stone Cold Steve Austin LOL.

So if we go JUST appearance I vote for B.O.D.

If we go their characters and this is set in the wrestling world I go Power Trip.

This isn't even a competition. It's Road Warriors/L.O.D. by miles. There hasn't been a more intimidating looking team since, and there isn't likely to be another for a long, long time, if ever. Road Warriors had the total package, and tapped into the Mad Max-style post-apocalyptic look with the spiked football pads, mohawks and warrior-style face paint. Combine that with their music, the way it hit with Hawk's "WWWWWWWHAT A RUSH!" and the sheer size of both men (Hawk was 6'2, 277lbs, Animal is 6'2, 305lbs) and you had a born winner.

I can see why everyone is saying LOD. They were quite the intimidating team, but I was more of a WWF guy during the time of their prominance so I am going with Demolition. I remeber being a kid and seeing them and thinking holy shit. The leaher and metal, and the face paint. Even the way they talked scared me. What tops it off for me is when them and Mr. Fuji would talk about the torturess training sessions the team went through. So I would picture these to tough guys wearing leather and metal getting tortured by Mr. Fuji, and that package scared me. Remember I was about 7 years old. From then on when I though of intimidating looks of a wrestler I thought of Demolition.

I would disagree with this. Although I would say the Road Warriors/LOD would take this just. Undertaker and Kane were very intimidating no matter what their gimmick was at the time, if one had long hair, if Kane was maskless or Taker was a biker.

APA deserve to get a mention here because as soon as that music hit you know someone was going to get a beating and a half. They had the look to go with it, a no nonsense tag team just looking for a fight.

I would put it in that order, LOD, BOD, APA.

This is tough! Damn i hate to do this to my favorite tag team (sorry Demolition) but i gotta go with Road Warriors! Can you honestly think of a more intimidating tag team of the 80's and 90's than those bad asses from chicago? Spiked Shoulder pads and just there swagger and demeanor said Dont Fuck with us.

They are honestly the best tag team ever. You just knew when those guys were in a match there was gonna be destruction, chaos, and more destruction. They kept adapting as the times were rolling along. Very hard for tag teams to do that! To top that off they had a bad ass manager in Paul Ellering!

I'm gonna go with the Road Warriors, but there is one team I'm surprised nobody has mentioned and that's the Wild Samoans Afa and Sika. This guys were huge, animalistic and just plain scary....well at least for their time. I think they deserved to be mentioned with the teams in the list above.

Very good stuff. Haku and Andre are definitely more intimidating than the Road Warriors. Road Warriors of course were just really, really cool.

I picked the Road Warriors because they were the essence of what tag team wrestling should be, but if looks alone can be intimidating, I wish the original Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika) could have been on the list. I've only seen pictures of them in their prime, but they were, huge, tough looking.....and as intimidating as I've ever seen. Even in the pre-determined result world of pro wrestling, I'd wager there were people who were legitimately worried about being in the ring with them.

The Road Warriors is the choice. The make-up, spiked shoulder pads, Iron Man theme, the hair cuts and their build. Everything about them was bad ass and they proved it. People don't realize now that really NOBODY was their size or strength when the debuted. There time in the A.W.A. and N.W.A. was their best. When the N.W.A. had them, The Steiners, Samoan Swat Team, Skyscrapers and Doom at the same time along with Midnight Express and Freebirds, I don't think there was better tag teams then that in one company.

For those that pick Demolition over The Road Warriors, remember that Demolition look so minor league compared to the Warriors when they showed up in the WWF that they re-inforced them with Crush to make it look better or that is how I took it watching it.
