Most hated face of all time

Dark Match Winner
I actually mean a face who was damn boring,a face that wasnt suppose to be a face. For me its the rock in the beginning with his gimmick rocky. malvoa.he was just a plain face.He went to the title picture very fast and thats another reason that i didnt like him.And then he changed his gimmick and the rest was history.

Randy Orton's face turn in 2004. He was supposed to be the next big thing, but fizzled out cause they do what they always do with face turns. Take every aspect of the character that the fans grow to like about the heel, then throw them out the window when he becomes a face. Did the same thing with Cena, with MVP, etc. Not to mention his in ring work went down the toilet when he reverted to nothing but punching. Talk about bland. He got booed an awful lot until they decided to just throw up their hands and let him rko stacey.

i have to say kurt angle...he was booed all the time because he just came off cocky...i know i was just waiting for someone to knock him off his pedestal...

Rocky Maivia (likely mis spelled) was a face and the fans hated him. He's first on this list because The Rock's first gimmick had people saying, die Rocky die or Rocky sucks and he was supposed to be a face. Someone mentioned Maven, i dont think he was hated, but he got no reaction. People thought he was dull it seemed. John Cena is the other face who is disliked. He gets mixed reactions ALOT, but Rocky Maivia is first on my list.

I think there are several wrestlers that fit in that moniker. As mentioned before, Rocky Maivia's first 10 months in WWF were atrocious in terms of overpushing and not getting a crowd reaction. When they made him The Rock, it was the change for the best, and a legend was born. John Cena is another hated face that takes the crowd and divides it in half. Whenever that day comes and he becomes a heel, I think there could be some serious $$$ made because both the old fans and his "younger fans" will be out for blood... I mean Play-doh. We are talking about PG, right?

I would probably have to vote for CM Punk (after being drafted to Raw). Punk was pretty much hated on by a lot of the fans when he went up against people like Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Batista, and other well-liked wrestlers. At WrestleMania 25, he got a standing boo-vation (is that even a word?) when he won the briefcase. When he made the switch to a heel on Smackdown, I think he found his niche. He's more over now as a heel than 99% of the time when he was a face. The Straight Edge Society gimmick is gold, and I think this run as the "Messiah" will help elevate his career.

D'Angelo Dinero "The Poop"
How would the guy be any different if he was a heel? Plus, the guy is a dick irl. He doesn't know how NOT to be cocky, arrogant, and obnoxious.

This is probably more TNA's fault then the Pope's but for his character, sometimes his actions don't make sense. If your an anti-hero type face, you don't come out and just help Abyss or whoever the other faces are for no apparent reason, especially when your injured (and not attacking the guy who injured you.)

Other then that, I know wrestlers usually pick up things from other wrestlers but I feel like this guy is nothing BUT picked up moves/gimmicks from other wrestlers. He does a lot of Dusty Rhodes, he has something fall from the ceiling, he gives shades to a kid (nice baby faces (Hart, Mysterio) do this, u wouldn't see Austin giving a beer to a kid ringside would ya lol) He walks out like Scott Hall, I mean everything he does is basically something made popular by another wrestler. I expect soon he'll be coming out with security like Goldberg and shouting "WOOOOOOO."

I mean may be TNA is wasting an opportunity having him as a face. The reason he is a face to begin with is b/c TNA's Impact Zone tards started chanting for him against Suicide. TNA just doesn't seem to get it sometimes with these people. I mean I hated Matt Morgan as a face as well. The guy is just not cut out for it. I'm starting to like him though as a heel(he's actually nicer as a heel lol, until he stabs ya in the back). The "We" stuff is pretty funny, and it's hard for a big man to come off as a face anyway. Guys like Abyss and Morgan should just be monsters and let the fans decide, like the way Kane is.

But yeah, I hate The Poop as a face. Don't understand it one bit. Really wish TNA would get out of Orlando to say who there real players are and how they'd be accepted nationally. Like in the Styles vs Pope match at Lockdown, it was in St. Louis and word was that Pope was heavily booed throughout the match. I mean I know everyone thinks Samoa Joe is some sort of wrestling God, but he's just never gonna be a top draw for a wrestling company. I mean he comes out in the Impact Zone and it looks like the nerds are having a seizure doing that zombie dance shit, he's not gonna get the same reaction in Madison Square Garden etc etc.

You're right about CM Punk 100% his face run sucked but this SES thing has definitely put him at the top of the list for future HOFer

I,much like everyone else think the top 2 are Maivia and Cena.It seems like its the same thing repeating itself and they should just start priming up Cena to be a promo master.Take the title off of him so he can run around pissing people off

I agree back in the 90's the most hated face was Rocky Maivia, by this time the wrestling fans were smartening up and they were not going to take another piece of gum from the E for them to chew on. It was like the E saying "ok, this is the next guy you all have to cheer for" and the fans were like nope, we're not doing that.

Today in present time, I have not seen a face more boo'd than Cena. He's been giving us the same stale goodie two-shoe character since Wrestlemania 21, freakin 5 years straight. And the E/Vince dont want to turn this guy heel because he loves to kiss babies and his orange shirts are selling pretty well. Its almost sad, to see a guy with the same damn gimmick, fans booing this guy in just about every city he goes to. And whats interesting is that these Cena-disciples dont acknowledge this fact and look the other way. They boo'd him out of buildings in 2006 and we still have that problem today.

The Great Khali is a quick one that comes to mind for me. This guy simply doesn't belong in wrestling in any way shape or form. I'm supposed to cheer for the guy because he's kissing a fat girl??

I agree with alot of you saying Rocky Maivia. He came out of nowhere and was pretty damn boring. He wasn't entertaining at all. Then he was thrown into the title picture. Amazing to think that he became The Rock lol.

I totally agree that CM Punk's face run sucked. I liked him when he debuted on ECW, but when he went to RAW I just couldn't stand how face he was. He was overface and I just couldn't like him. His Charles Manson SES gimmick now is gold and has put him at the top of my favorites list.

two words JOHN CENA. I fuckin hate the guy legitimately. when he ended his feud with Y2J and in a "youre fired match" he just begun to be a dick:banghead: but oh well I could talk all my life about my hate towards Cena but he is my pick

What I'm surprised that no one has said is Edge, but the latest face run, it was the most boring face runs I have ever seen. SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR!!!! What a ridiculous chant, he didn't even mention Edgeheads, and since his heel turn I just knew he wouldn't work as a face again.

All the good ones have already been said, so I had to think about this for a few minutes. I came up with Tugboat. Did anybody ever like him? In school, there are times when a semi-hot girl hangs around a fat girl to make herself look hot. To me, Tugboat was Hogan's fat girl.

By far, the most hated face of all time has to be X-Pac. Hell, he even has a type of heat named after him! (X-Pac heat aka go-away heat). While the Rock was not liked for the first part of his career, he eventually won the fans over. X-Pac can't say the same thing. To this day, people still can't stand him and I doubt anyone ever will again.

The early monthes of the Rock are without a doubt at the top of the list, but I am going to go back in time and show my age a little. The Honky Tonk Man was one of the worst. We put up with months of the stupid vignettes about this second rate Elvis impersonator coming in to make this huge impact on the WWF. And when he showed up, the first match there were crickets, the second match the boos started. He had a great heel turn though when jesse Ventura in an in ring interview just flat out said, you know, the fans just don't seem to like you.

i have to say kurt angle...he was booed all the time because he just came off cocky...i know i was just waiting for someone to knock him off his pedestal...

Kurt Angle was cheered in his feud with Steve Austin during the Invasion Angle.... Also he was cheered in 2003 when he returned after a neck injury.

John Cena is by far the most hated babyface.

Well the Shockmaster in WCW was loathed (would that count as Tugboat again?)
Shawn Michaels at the end of 1996 against Sid was loathed (especially in New York it seemed) as the clean cut babyface routine (and his backstage attitude) were becoming a bit too well known in public.

But, to me, the most heat for a babyface was for Bret Hart back in 1997. Yes in America he was a heel but, everywhere else around the world, he was still a face as he made it clear he only had an issue with America but still got booed to shit around the world so, to me, it was Bret, because heat seemed so much more passionate and real back then, rather then the kinder style of the present day

the 2 worse face turns too me of all time are John Cena and Shawn Michaels I cant stand either of them.

1. John Cena he is the worse WWE champion of all time the fans hate him they hate his guts who gets booed at wrestlemania every year and is suppose to be the top good guy. The only reason why fans cheer him now is because he was forced down our throats other than that he would still get booed. He got booed at the hall of fame cermony who gets booed at that event?? Only John Cena he is horrible and has horrible tshirts and stupid gimmicks HUSTLE LOYALTY RESPECT that sound s like a godfather movie. He is the ultimate corney ass wrestler of all time plus the worse face every.

2. Shawn Michaels the second worse good guy of all time first he dresses like a *** he never deserved to be pushed to win the wwe title from bret hart never then beat Vader of all people at summerslam with a moonsault a standing moonsault horrible. The kliq is the gayest group of fans i ever heard i hate shawn michaels i'm so glad he is gone. Plus he always acted like a bad guy he interfered in peoples matches sweet chined music hulk hogan for no reason and never reconciled with marty jannetty even when he was good and was about too win the WWE title and he betrayed diesl and tried too take him out. He was the worse ever as a good guy

Towards the end of 1996 and in early 1997 Shawn became a hated face. He was booed at the Garden when he dropped the belt to Sid, and in early 1997 he always received a mixed reaction, getting booed from the same dudes who booed all the faces. Vince had him sucking up to the crowd in promos by saying they had amendment rights, having the right o cheer and boo for whoever they want cus they paid, etc.
