Yeah. It was speculated when they first signed it that it would put a few guys off, but bigger and bigger names are leaving for the competition. They argued that the deal would benefit smaller name guys who didn't have the exposure to gain big sponsor deals. Do I think they will lose an actual star? No, unless you count guys like Chael and Wanderlei who are getting on in age. They are losing a lot of decent names though.

Gegard was on a decent streak and there was talk of him being the next title challenger. Not the worst loss, but this is a fairly big get for Bellator.

To me the big loss which shows how dumb this deal is was when they lost Rory MacDonald at 27 years old. He lost two in a row but one was for the title belt in a fight he was winning and would've been World Champ if not for a finish in the final round. That was fight of the year also and then he lost to Wonderboy who is excellent.

I personally hate the reebok deal because I think reebok is a shit brand and the gear looks trash and it takes away the personality of the fighters a little bit. Wouldnt be suprised if it hung around because its more money for the ufc and as far as Im aware there is no kind of union for any kind of combat sport and i dont think a deal like that would exist if they had one

I think you could also tell McGregor doesn't really fancy himself in this fight. Haven't watched it in full but from what I understand McGregor called Floyd 'boy' and then they cut the microphone after. McGregor kinda caught himself since he has had this issue before where he'll call ALL his opponents boy but when he faces a black athlete people try to make it racial. Culture differences and such, he means it as an insult but it's not racially motivated.

Apparently Jones and Lesnar have expressed interest in fighting each other. Makes sense, UFC is having a shit year and need big fights for the future. Jones by decision if it happens, 50-45.

Lesnar wouldn't win a round against Jones.
