MMA in the Bar room!! *In memorium of JMT and TDigs' thread*

Fans were giving that fight the Roman Reigns treatment. That dude could not land a single take down. Spent so much time against the wall of the cage.

With his back against the wall Whittaker pulls off the win. Down 2-0 and needing to get all three final rounds. Wow! He's going to wreck Bisping. Dude is younger, faster and a better striker.

Nunes might be a coward but at least the world got to see Whittaker claim the throne tonight.

Edit: "The fact that you are standing there with that belt makes me sick" - Bisping. Best bad guy in the business. So easy to hate. Makes you want to spend all the money on the ass kicking Rob will give to him. Classic Bisping!

Bisping is awesome, can't wait for him vs. Whittaker. Amazing night of fights, & this is with Cerrone/Lawler & Nunes/Schevchanko being pulled from the card!

They got a shot of Bisping ripping the Cuban flag to pieces while watching the fight. He is fantastic. A total prick but fantastic. We should enjoy him while we've got the Count in the final run of his career.

Best video package I've ever seen. UFC/Bellator/WWE or anything else.

Not since Silva/Sonnen II have I been this excited.

Holy fuck of all fucks that was sweet.

UFC and the sport of MMA really need a star. Conor is great, but he is more invested in himself rather than the sport of MMA. For the overall good you need the Silvas, GSPs and Jones on top for a foreseeable time.

AND, I actually wanted Yoel to take it coz that way we get the Yoel-Bisping fight while Whittaker still rides this wave into his next fight and finally challenges for the title; better for the division.

But this aint wrestling, Whitty thoroughly deserved that, what a warrior!

The one issue I have with him is his refusal to embrace the nickname Bobby Knuckles. That's a cool nickname and it's much better than the Reaper.

Edit: Watching the Dana post fight presser and he just said he won't main event Nunes again. Wow. Now, he said the same thing about Jones but Nunes isn't the star that Jones is so it could very well be true. Dana also said 90% mental and 10% physical for Nunes. Medically cleared. Was able to fight but backed out anyway. Very cowardly.

Dana says he'll never do a lot of things, & then turns around & does them. I wouldn't be surprised if she & Schevchenko ME 215, they need a ME for that card & all their other champions are either hurt, just fought, or about to fight.

Fuck Dana. The problem doesn't fall 100% on him, but Dana is a big reason the UFC can't build stars and smaller promotions are catching up to them and signing away some of their guys.

Now sure, they are losing mid tier guys like Roy Nelsons and Phil Davis and Ben Hendersons, but guys are looking at alternatives to the UFC.

Dana seems to only want to push someone if they fit a certain mold. Remember the promos for the Nunes/Rouseymatch? Nunes was only in the video for about fifteen total seconds. They have never had a female star not named Rousey. Now I know that women's MMA is still young, but look at a lady like Joanna. She is legit. She gets better each fight, she comes across as tough, she has a bit of a funny side. She seems perfect to push, but I feel like because she isn't like "hot" the UFC won't promote her. Nunes is an openly gay champion. Do you know how much good will they would get if they promoted and pushed her? But no, her English isn't perfect and she isn't model attractive.

Same with men. They hate people who self promote, but bitch when guys don't connect with the fans. How many people follow Mighty Mouse on Twitch? Yet they refuse to acknowledge it.

Dana loves Joanna, Yaz.

They built a TV show around her title defense against Cláudia, she was put in the co-main event for Rousey/Holm which was watched by millions and had the biggest live attendance of any UFC in history. They put her on the 205 card in New York which is huge for exposure and was the most mainstream event they've ever done. Joanna has continually been put in position to become a star and while she's isn't Rousey, she is a legit star within the MMA fans. Is that enough to break a million buys? Probably not but it's enough that to earn her some solid PPV points. If she wasn't a star and UFC weren't willing to promote her than she wouldn't be put in this situations repeatedly.

And her broken English trash talk is hot as fuck. Especially when she learnt Portuguese just to call Cláudia a ****e.

You're on point about the other two but I think you're way off on Joanna.

I'd like to see Dana cut weight for a fight or even just get ready for a fight. If it doesn't go some perfect fantasy way then he hates you. Absolute knob.

Cutting weight is part of their job. They're supposed to be professionals. They only have to cut as much weight as the weight class they fight in. Totally on the fighter. Nobody else is ever at fault when it comes to weight cuts. If you get sick, likely means you failed to cut weight safely as Michael Bisping stated on Fox.

Yeah I wasn't saying it's not a problem when fighters don't cut weight, I'm just talking about how your mind and body are actually travelling when you are cutting weight, but more importantly how hard it is to be a fighter compared to the position Dana is in. Obviously he can witness it a hell of a lot more than I so he's got an idea, but sometimes it's just like dude cmon with some of the things he says.

Dana was a boxer before the UFC, I'm pretty sure he's had to go through a weight cut or two.

No shit... well the more you know. I can't believe I've never heard this before.

Ah I just looked it up. Yeah now it makes sense why I've never heard of him boxing before. Tito no showed a boxing weigh in with him haha wtf. He knew I would've lost to his boss in front of millions of people says Dana.

Dana White's boxing career is a lot like Bigfoot. People claim that it's legit and say that they've seen it, but really there's not much evidence to support it. However, there is this sweet photo of him as a boxercise instructor.

Also, Bellator just signed Gerard Mousasi. Don't know why UFC wouldn't throw the money to sign him when Middleweight is looking pretty shallow in depth.

This Reebok dealing is biting the UFC in the ass hard now. Fighters going to Bellator and making six figures in sponsorship alone. Some getting to the million dollar mark. This deal has to go as soon as they get the chance.
