Mickie James and the Case of the Exploding Breast Implant

-- As reported earlier today, Mickie James peculiarly missed Sunday night's Raw brand house show in Madison, Wisconsin after competing the two previous nights in St. Paul, Minnesota and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was also not used during Monday's Raw taping in Chicago. Partnering with Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly took her place in a tag match on Sunday.

This should be taken with a grain of salt, but a person from the Richmond area claiming to have known James for over ten years e-mailed us to say that she busted one of her breast implants in a tag match with Rosa Mendes (and Beth Phoenix) over the weekend. The timetable for her return remains indefinite. Furthermore, the storyline excuse for her absence will be explained as a shoulder injury she suffered during her title defense against Phoenix on last week's show.

First off, this hasn't been confirmed and isn't official or anything yet, so just keep that in mind everyone. But if this turns out to be true...I'm not sure if I should be really sad, or laughing my head off. Probably a combination of both. It sucks if she's going to be out for a few weeks, and will really put the Women's division on hold for a few weeks. possibly even longer.

I'll still bow to how sexy and talented Mickie is though, breast implant bust or not.

You're right, I'd love to see a tournament to determine a number one contender for the title while Mickie's "shoulder" is healing, but knowing WWE, they would never commit to that much TV time for the women's division. I imagine they'll just blow it off as no big deal and think the fans won't care/notice if Mickie is gone for a few weeks.

It is a shame that Mickie is out due to injury or her boobie blow. She is a diva who is hot and can actually wrestle without me feeling someone is gonna get hurt. It would have been cool to see her on Raw this Monday with Trish Stratus hosting. They had a nice feud when Mickie debuted in the WWE. However for the time being u can google image search the name Alexis Laree (make sure u don't have any security filters on). Just something nice to look at until she returns.

I just had a vision of one of her tits exploding in the middle of the ring, it was funny in a disturbing kind of way. Yeah anyway, I am not sure I would have even noticed her absence had their not been a thread on it here, mainly because I just cant seem to care about the womens division.

I am sure they'll just have a battle royal or something to determine a new contender and have the match when Mickie comes back.

Going with CardboardTrish's idea, they should focus on the number 1 contender for the Divas Championship. Will they? No. Vince doesn't care enough about the women's division. But this is a chance to give the Diva's some credible on-air time, and to put on some good matches to show that they're actually good at what they do.

I think Gail Kim should be given a match against Mickie, because Mickie vs Beth Phoenix has been done quite a few times, and Gail Kim vs Beth Phoenix would be an awesome title fued in my opinion.

On the actual injury, well, it's funny but hopefully she won't be out for too long. She's arguably the best Diva that the WWE has, and is their champion so they won't want her to miss too much time.

Well im surprised not to see Falkon in a Mickie thread but maybe she hasnt had the time.

With this situation happening i feel bad for Mickie in this situation, she was working on a huge program with Beth Phoenix, she is a dominant Divas champion, now her title reign could be cut short.

I hope they concentrate on the Division without Mickie for awhile, they will probably end up focus on either Kelly Kelly or Gail Kim and shift the attention to Beth Phoenix dominating everyone.

This is so funny for several reasons. Mostly because mickie james is not that large chested. I really haven't paid attention to divas in years since Sable and Chyna left since they were the last two enjoyable divas left oh and trish I liked too. I was laughing histerically since her boobs arent that huge and why did she even get them done in the first place. The other reason was that I never heard of breast implants explode before and we all know we were waiting for the "puppies" on Debra to explode, lol.

On to the matter at hand, a ruptured breast implant for Mickie James is probably the best thing for her to have occured during the match. I mean, its not anything serious really... she can get it repaired & she will be back in no time at all. I am glad it wasn't broken ribs or torn stomach muscles as that would have put her on the shelf for a LONG time.

I will say this, I don't care she ruptured an implant. All I care about is Mickie in the ring & she does not neccessarily need them. She has enough attention from the crowd due to her being a great all-round professional wrestler, her assets don't matter much.

At least she hasn't suffered a broken collar bone like Candice Michelle did. She was released because she had injured herself and didn't want to job to other Divas. This could have been tons more serious though. But thankfully, she will be okay.
Just one thing though, why did Mickie James get breast implants if she is wrestling? She ran the risk of them rupturing one day or another. She may as well have just kept her natural breasts. At least they have a very very small chance of rupturing.

Unforunately my new WZ poster, it is the called Mickie James wrestling in the Diva's division. It is what is required of basically all the diva's to have big boobs, nice body looks & has something in sex appeal. It does not matter if you wrestle great, it matters if you appear great for the crowd to jack-off too. It is a sad realisation I have come to despite my love for all things womens wrestling.

I have to say though, that having natural breasts would be much better for Mickie to wrestle with as it doesn't cause any liabilities for her with the moves she pulls off. However, her rack was tiny when she first started in wrestling with no appeal to them at all. So, the increase was merely to get her noticed in the looks department & hype her as a great wrestler. Seriously, if you have that big a rack & can wrestle... you MUST be good.

I would also like to add that the exact same match that Mickie James blew her boob implant, she delivered the greatest variation of the Mickie DDT ever without a hitch. This goes to show any of the nay sayers of the Womens Division that these girls can wrestle, even when injured. I mean come on, Kelly & Maryse competed whilst having knee injuries & still did their jobs to a sufficient extent. I do not really see this boob injury as something serious on the part of James if she pull stunts off like this.

Sir, WWE is an image driven company. Looks are almost a first in the womens division, where as they're a secondary in places like ROH, Shimmer, and possibly TNA. WWE takes pride in their wrestlers appearence, and tbf, when you're thin like most of the divas are, you become fairly flat chested, it's rare you'll find a person with an athletic figure and a massive chest, I don't blame them for getting implants.

This is actually quite funny. Not laugh out loud funny, but I did slightly chuckle. It would have been much better if she was wrestling Awesome Kong and she gave her the Implant Buster. Much funnier indeed.

As for what they are going to do, probably nothing. There weren't even any Diva's matches on Raw last week, were there? The WWE really puts not thought or effort into the Diva's division at all. The champ missing for a few weeks isn't really going to matter.

I don’t know if I find it more funny that I didn’t even knock that Mickie had implants or that she ruptured something I didn’t even know she had.

Anyways, it is a shame that she will be out for a couple of weeks or months because that means we won’t be seeing her…unless they have her still making appearances like Michelle is currently doing on Smackdown. I liked the match she had with Beth and hopefully she will have a speedy recovery so we can have good workers working in the divas division, even if the WWE still won’t care about them.

As far as how they can determine the number 1 contender for the title, I liked the idea of a tournament that someone else said. But like X, I highly doubt that they are willing to invest much TV time for something having to do with the divas…much less a tournament made up of divas. My guess is that they will probably just continue having some pointless matches and once Mickie returns, they will have one number one contenders match or just name Beth as the number one contender. Hell, they might even hold a battle royal to name the number one contender.

Mickie and Beth were building a nice program and a good match and it's a shame this happened to her. Sigh...maybe Beth will be awarded the title or something. It'd be nice to just have Mickie come back and chase it than wait like on SmackDown! for the champ to return. That hit on the ring post was awful though. Hopefully she'll make a speedy recovery and we can see this feud again down the road.

Like it as been said it is a shame that Mickie is out injured (as it has been said befoe) she is the face the Divas Division. with her gone this is a chance for phoenix to be pushed (even though I just cant see Phoenix as Divas champion).

as for what they are gunna do i reckon they should do a RAW Divas vs. SMACKDOWN Divas tournament (e.g. a it like the World X Cup). with this it would give both brands divas something as well give meaning to the gimick matches (e.g. a Divas boxing match could be 2 points).
