Metallica concert a couple of days ago.

Shay

Talking like Im falling down stairs
Was fucking horrendous. The sound was shit, they didn't play anything from St.Anger and mostly stuck to "Master of puppets" which no one cared about honestly, you could hear people talking a couple of rows down, music wasn't loud, and I'd even say more people interacted/sung along with Lamb Of God who supported them.

They looked like they didn't want to do an encore which drew a 5-10 minute's worth of deafning boos. They came out and talked for a bit without playing a song and the music section in the paper the next day said that Metallica disappointed nobody with their great live shows....:disappointed:

What a fucking waste of $130.00.

Can't tell if you live in the US or not, fuck MoP

I live in Adelaide Australia.

SNS, They weren't, I was sitting down and ticket prices were from $100-$380 the stage was smack-bang in the middle of the entertainment centre. Lamb Of God used the stage well they moved around quite a bit giving fans high fives that sort of stuff while Metallica just stood there.

Whoa, hold up, you wanted more St. Anger cuts and less MoP? Sounds like it was you all… not Metallica. I've seen them close to 10 times and they've never disappointed. Now, I'm not saying it's impossible, just improbable.

:lmao:You may be the only person I have ever seen bitch that they didn't play anything off St. Anger, and played shit off one of there best albums, I mean why on earth would they not playanything off the album the fans in general hated the most in favor of songs off an album that is easily one of the most popular and iconic albums in the history of metal?:rolleyes:

Oh you kids today, crack me up:lol:

I liked St. Anger.......

But regardless, them playing Master of Puppets is about 9 thousand times better then them playing St. Anger. Anyone who complains about them playing Master of Puppets needs to shut up and enjoy it.

I saw them about a year ago on the same tour I believe, Lamb of God was supporting. They were fucking great, can't believe you're complaining about not enough St. Anger, can honestly say I've never heard that in a non-satirical way.

You spent $130 to go hear a band play its worst album? How about this; I'll only charge you $5 to sit on my back porch and listen to the raccoons screech as I chase them away from my trash cans. That's about what "St. Anger" sounded like, and with worse vocals.

This was EXACTLY what I was thinking. Who the fuck gets pissed because they didn't get to sit through the torture that was St. Anger?

Good god, what the fuck is wrong with you maddhaggis?

Um....I live in Adelaide?

Seriously if you talk to anybody in Perth, Victoria, Sydney, Queensland and ask them which state is the dumbest/******ed and they'll say Adelaide.

Back on topic here, nearly everybody that was there at the concert was chanting "We want St.Anger". The people who weren't chanting were just talking amongst themselves.

This band has been so fucking bad for the last 20 years. So. Fucking. Bad.

Well, they did achieve their greatest commercial success over the last 20 years, so it doesn't surprise me that you would think this.

Not really. Wasn't the Black Album their biggest seller? That was their last great album, which was like I said 20 years ago, in 1990. So actually it was right after their greatest commercial success that they began sucking royally.

Death Magnetic had a few good songs though. I also thought Frantic was a pretty good song, the only good one on St. Anger.

Pretty sure you'd be saying the same thing about fucking Nirvana, had Cobain not, ya know, blown his fucking head off...:suspic:

That wouldn't make much sense ince I've loved every one of their albums and loved the last demo solo recordings Kurt did before he died which was basically pointing to what direction his music was going to take. Nirvana was pretty much going to be broken up either way in '94, Kurt would have done the solo thing. But alas that never happened, unfortunately.

Don't get me wrong, 80s 'Tallica can not be rivaled in sheer metal fury. Their work literally defines the entire genre of thrash metal.

Black Album, as justin said and you ackowledged, was less than 20 years ago. But you weren't criticizing that, so I'll let you slide there.

But Load was decent and had a couple fantastic songs, Reload...well, nevermind, but Turn the Page is, in my mind, arguably the greatest cover ever, the S&M 2 disc set was fantastic and included "No Leaf Clover" which is another great song, I liked "Unnamed Feeling" off of St. Anger, and you said you liked some off Death Magnetic.

I don't think Metallica has been as bad as you're saying.
