**MERGED** RAW's 1000th Episode (Keep it in here: No Austin, Punk/Cena, DX, etc.)

I disagree about the need of a new logo. Having the scratch design since, I believe, late 97, and more importantly the WWE double W's, since 02, they've invested in it way too much to change. There's no need. It's a great look and is on ever shirt, toy, belt, dvd; everything WWE related. This change is not necessary, no one really complains about it. Why do it?

I'm almost positive that they'll have a new set though. WWE.com hinted about this in their article about the evolution of the RAW set. I'm sure the new music/intro would play into that as well. The time is right for this kind of a change.

The belt will happen when it happens. There's no telling, but with the WWE title match being probably the last thing before RAW goes off air, it's unlikely to see the new belt on Monday. Now, maybe the next Monday, but don't count on it for the 1000th. There's too many more important things to focus on then to burn ten minutes with some stupid unveiling celebration.

I don't think a new logo is needed.

A new set and theme music would be fantastic. It is not a big deal, really, since, well, those 2 things don't matter to the product.

The new title belt would be AWESOME Monday, since it would be indicative to Punk retaining the belt. If they're going to give the strap back to Cena, I can't see them switching the belt that became synonymous with Cena. More likely, however, if it's true that the Rock will get a run with the strap, it,s far more likely that when he wins the belt, that he, because of the disdain for Cena, says he went out and got a 'real' belt.

My guess is that the 'big angle' for the summer will be started. Off the top of my head, I'd LOVE to see Heyman come out and say that in order to settle the 'lawsuits' that he has been appointed GM of Raw.

Hoping that Punk gets over Cena with a distraction by the Rock, leading to Punk-Rock with Cena as the special referee at Summerslam; this way Cena still gets a main event spotlight, but it's not a rehash of Mania.

Smackdown seems to indicate at least one possible person to crash the wedding (you can search out the spoilers yourself or wait for tomorrow night), but I suspect it's a swerve.

And I'm betting on the Heyman as GM of RAW, if I had to bet on anyone. And maybe Smackdown going back to Vicki.

I'm guessing the main event at Summerslam will be Punk vs Cena for the strap and if anyone will be special guest referee it will be The Rock.

I also see the new belt debuting on Raw 1001. So much going on at 1000 I see Punk defending and then coming out to debut the new belt on Raw 1001. Maybe Paul Heyman will be the guy to come down and present him it as the new Raw GM. It would be pretty awesome to see Heyman start up a heel faction with CM Punk and Lesnar making his odd appearences. Maybe that could be the big summer angle they are talking about. I also see Heyman has been talking up Husky Harris (forget his new name) and Dolph Ziggler.

i saw the new belt and...

Seriously? That is what they supposedly have had ready for 3 years? How could they be happy with this? It looks like a cardbooard cutout, something that I would submit for a grade 1st art class...

One thing that popped into my mind, something that's been looked over, is the IC title match scheduled to take place on this Monday's Raw. In case some have forgotten about this, the WWE featured a little example of the new Rawactive concept in which fans were given an opportunity to vote on whether the IC, US or Divas Championship would be defended on the 1,000th Raw. Later on in the night, it was revealed that the IC title had gotten the most votes, thank God.

On the surface, it's easy to say that Cody Rhodes will be given a shot and that's a possibility. He & Christian have been feuding for a bit over the title after all, so it's perfectly logical to assume he'll have another shot.

Another, albeit less likely, scenario is that a brand new name will make an appearance on the roster to challenge Christian for the title. It'd be something pretty unexpected and a means of introducing a new face in a big way. Dean Ambrose is said to be ready to make his debut anytime and there's a lot of talk about him. I could see a scenario in which he comes out, shooting his mouth off about making a statement or something along those lines and gives Christian a strong, competetive match win or lose. As I said, it's highly unlikely, but possible.

Another scenario that popped into my head involves Daniel Bryan. It was announced last Monday's Raw that Bryan & AJ will appear on SmackDown! tonight and will be guests on Christian's Peep Show segment. I don't read spoilers of taped shows so I don't know what happened, but I just have a feeling that Christian will say or do something to cause Bryan & AJ, though mostly Bryan, some embarassment. Again, I might be completely off the mark, but I just have a feeling that the Peep Show segment will be a springboard to do something between Bryan & Christian. Aside from Bryan celebrating his "nuptuals" with AJ on the 1,000th episode of Raw, he could possibly walk away with the IC title.

At any rate, who will it/should it be?

At any rate, who will it/should it be?

First of all, I'm so glad that the belt is finally on the line again. Secondly, I think it's about time it should go on to someone else. As much as I love Christian, he's had very little presence as IC champ.

As to who faces Christian, why not continue this Raw Active spiel by having an online vote throughout the day tomorrow? It would make no sense for WWE just to pluck someone out at random and make them number one contender - if it was down to the fans to decide (or believing that they are deciding) who is challenging Christian, then they'll care more about the match. Though I find it hard to believe that more people voted for the Diva's championship than they did the U.S. title.

The contenders? Well, I'm not going to root for Cody. The title shouldn't go back to him. During his months-long reign as IC champ some fans creamed themselves, stating that this was his catapult to main event status. Yet after a lackluster feud with the Big Show and losing the strap to Christian, Cody hasn't really stood out as being on the rise. It's not that he's bad, there's just very little reason to care about him.

Daniel Bryan? Possibly. It wouldn't hurt him to hold the IC title, and it would do the belt a great deal as well, since Bryan is on TV every week, thus increasing exposure of the title. WWE is teasing Bryan starting a feud with the Miz, who is also a credible challenger for the IC title - holding the belt would help regain his momentum after his absence.

There is the possibility of Wade Barrett returning on Raw 1000 and challenging Christian. Hopefully Barrett will make more of a second reign than he did with his first.

It is not unprecedented for a debuting superstar to win a championship in their first match (see Carlito), so there's no reason to throw the idea of Dean Ambrose out of the window.

Then there's also Jericho, Kane, or Ryback who I could see as genuine threats.

Personally, I feel that WWE will stay fairly pedestrian and throw Cody in there and keep the belt on Christian. I hope that they give someone else a chance to shine with the belt. And I wish that it would be Barrett.

A new logo isn't really needed, but the show needs a new look. The music and set have got to go as they have both worn out their welcome. Overall it needs a new attitude and hopefully this show will begin a whole new serious direction for the product. All I know is something needs to happen to get me pumped up and optimistic for the product going forward. An unpredictable, edgy cliffhanger to end the show. The "big summer storyline" that is supposed to be similar to the last 2 years is supposed to finally kick off tomorrow night. It has to be BIG in order for it to work, bigger than the last 2 years IMO.

This is whats gonna happen right before Cena cashes his money in the bank The Rock will come and attack Cena right before the bell has rung costing him his opportunity, he will then challenge Punk to a WWE match at some point in the year, he eventually beats Punk winning the WWE championship Cena comes and cashes his money in the bank on a weakened Rock and becomes WWE Champion

I agree totally about the music...out with the nickelback, in with something fresh.

However, I would like to see a logo redesign, simply bc most brands usually alter their logos slightly over the years and the scratch has been around for 15 years now. Also, I think the scratch logo reminds me too much of WWF attitude days and it's time for freshness all around.

I think a set change isn't as necessary bc although it is probably older than the entrance theme, it still looks really good in person and on screen.

I say that in the 1000 episode couple of things will happend:
1}john cena defeated Cm Punk to become the wwe champion.after the match the rock comes out and rock bottom on both cena & punk.later it will announce john cena vs Cm Punk on summer slam with special guest referee the rock.
2}brock lesnar enter on the DX reunion and says to triple H that he accept the challenge on one condition:it will be a no holds barred match.than triple H says he accept to that on one condition:paul heyman will be banned from ringside.lesnar says he accept.
3}the miz will inference daniel bryan & AJ's wedding.my prediction:on summer slam it will be the miz & eve torres vs daniel bryan & AJ in a mixed tag team match.
4}christian will lose he's intercontinental title to the mystery oppount that will face him for the title {I think it's going to be cody rhodes}.
5}thedore long named as the new general maneger of raw & smackdown.
6}alberto del rio vs rey mysterio in a match.
7}chris jericho continue his feud with dolph ziggler.

1 - Cena will be the first to 'cash in' and lose. I predict Big Show will interfear, then the Rock will also interfear putting himself in the mix. You are probably correct about Rock as special guest ref at Summerslam but I predict a Triple Threat with Punk/Cena/Show.

2 - No Holds Barred seems plausible. Maybe even a HIAC match as both have storied historys in that match. Heyman will be a factor though.

3 - Miz/Eve vs AJ/Bryan - where did I see that match already? Cant see it been on Summerslam!!! Maybe Miz will interfear but I predict a major swerve. Who knows. Its probably the least predictable outcome of tonights Raw!

4 - Yeh will be a mystery opponent. I would've said Wade Barrett but he isnt scheduled back just yet. I think Edge will be involved in this IC match somehow.

5 - Please god no!!!!!! No more Teddy as GM! All he does is interupt promos and set tag matches!

6 - Maybe. Maybe saved for Summerslam though.

7 - Hopefully. Maybe even win the Briefcase off him.

I really can't see Punk losing the title for a while, he's on the front of WWE 13, and has a DVD out soon. I think that he'll lose the title at TLC. WWE has invested a lot of time in him lately. If he does lose he'll get the title back pretty quickly. I reckon we'll have a new title belt after tonight, perfect time for it.

Not sure what to make of the wedding. WWE weddings usually end in trouble. I just don't know where WWE are going with this. I don't think it'll be Miz, a feud between them has already happened. It'll probably end up being Kane.

I'm hoping that Christian defends the IC title against a debuting Dean Ambrose. It's about time he came up to the main roster. Throw Regal in as his manager. I don't think it'll be anyone who is on TV at the moment. Perfect time to debut or return.

I don't care who the next GM is as long as it's not Teddy, he was so stale. He was around far too long. But I do think that it'll be him.

I'm feeling the buzz!!! I really think we are about to witness one of the greatest episodes of Raw ever...or at least for a very long time. Last weeks Raw and MITB were very solid and a good watch! WWE has certainly risen their game just when it matters most.

I live in the UK and usually read the spoilers before I settle down and watch Raw. Not this episode though, I will stay off WZ all day tomorrow while at work and enjoy tomorrow evening 'as live'!!!!

my predictions for tonights show include:

damien demento will interupt the undertaker injuring him which forces him out till mania.

max moon will beat christian for the IC title

marty jannetty will interupt the DX segment and ask why shawn kicked him through the window of the barbershop

money inc will win the tag team titles off kofi and r-truth

jake the snake will gatecrash the wedding party

and in the main event ultimate warrior will beat cm punk in a loser leaves town match.

but on a serious note i think cena will lose tonight making him the first money in the bank loser but dolph will waltz down after the match and cash in successfully ;)

As some or most of you know that HHH and Co. are bringing in women in WWE more based on their talent and not their looks, for example, Sara Del Rey, Buggy Nova, Kharma, Tenille, Britiani Knight and Ivellise.

With all those women being apart of WWE/FCW in some sort of ways, Kharma is rumored to make her return tonight to the WWE RAW 1000th episode. Other rumors says that she is done with the company (Don't blame her with all the personal life issues) so with that said, my question is..

"Does the state of the diva division restly sole on RAW tonight?"

Because lets face it, the divison has gone way done since Mickie James left. The have tried to bring it back up with Laycool, Beth and Kelly but to be honest, the company hasn't done a good job. Now with Kharma, the fans love her because she's something different from your average 'hot-blonde' and always cheered her last year when she appeared and took the divas down.

I think this is an odd question? So you are questioning whether or not tonight is a 'make or break' situation for the Divas division?

The Divas will probably get a 5 minute tag match and maybe have Lita or Trish show up backstage. I doubt tonight will see anything groundbreaking on the Divas front. Sure Kharma could show up but from what I gather she is legit done - I hope not though.

Divas division, tonight, next week, next month will still be the same. A filler on our programming. Always has been and always will be.

I highly doubt that tonight will decide the fate of the Diva's division, WWE is going to give us 5minute bathroom breaks every PPV during the Diva's matches because nobody ever watches them. They are always terrible and have like 1 spot or is just terribad in general.

Kharma is done with WWE and I believe she was taken off the Main roster all together. I hope to see Trish just because she was my favorite Diva of all time and maybe Lita.

Last week John Cena announced that he will Cash in his Money In The Bank title opportunity then he hit The Big Show in the face with the briefcase, then on Smackdown Big Show came in and destroyed everyone in his sight.

My Question is do you think Big Show will interfere tonight and cost John Cena his Wwe Championship?

And if he does would it count as a unsuccessful Cash in?

The original plan for the RAW MITB briefcase was that Chris Jericho wins it and unsuccessfully cashes in later in the night. This could possibly mean that John Cena will not win that match, but it might also just mean that they changed the plans so Cena would win tonight. Either way Cena will be champion come Summerslam.

I honestly wanted CM Punk to be champion for at least a year but as of now it has been 9 months I think. Big Show may very well interfere but so may The Rock and start a fued with CM Punk. CM Punk vs Big Show would be a waste just because Big Show is a monster and destroyed him the last day, there is no realistic way Punk would win.

Punk had two ppv wins over Cena last year. I have a hard time believing Punk is going to win again.

Cena will become champ either tonight or at Summerslam. Cena vs Rock Part 2 at WM for the WWE Title.

I think Cena will be the first one to cash in and lose, that's why they had him win the case. Losing a MITB cash in won't hurt Cena in the least.

IF it's Rock vs. Cena II at WM 29, then I think Rock, not Cena, comes into that match as the Champ. Cena will 100% for sure win the rematch if there is one. I think they do want Rock to get another title run so he'll win the belt (maybe at the Rumble) then drop it to Cena, if they're planning Rock vs. Cena II.

I hope they save Rock vs Cena II for WrestleMania 30. They should let The Rock be involved in a different storyline for 29 and save the rematch for 30.

As for RAW tonight, really hoping we see a full DX reunion (except Chyna obviously). Maybe even lay down a tag match with the New Age Outlaws? God I hope this RAW pulls out all the surprises we've been hopelessly waiting for.

Hello everyone and thanks for reading my thread here. Ever since WWE started the whole legends returning each week and them saying even more will be on Raw for the 1,000 episode I came to think. How else could they use all these "legends" but in a big ol slobber knockin Battle Royal. Theres no way they are going to have them all come out and squash their current roster in matches, I mean Heath Slater could only go out there for one squash match. So tonight on the 1,000 episode of Raw im going to guess a 20-30 man Battle Royal. It'd be one great way to see all these former talents return and not have to actually wrestle a match. Does anyone else here agree with me on this?

I can see them doing this, with Heath Slater involved, getting revenge on the legends who had defeated him the last few weeks
