I actually really loved Freddie Prinze last night. He came off as a hardcore wrestling fan(unlike Piven), he was phyically involved, and I could actually see he being involved with Raw again unlike the others. Dibiase was good, but he's in the biz, it's expected.

I also really liked Shaq, and he was probably the best draw they had. Green was good too, and I actually have been enjoying this. At first I was skeptical but other than ZZ Tops lame ass hosting, I pretty much liked them all. But Freddie just seemed confortable, and I enjoyed him the most.

In my mind Batista, Slaughter and Dibiase don't count because they are wrestlers and not celebrities. Shaq was the best guest host so far followed by Freddie Prinze jr. Shaq was funny and got physically involved. Freddie was actually quite excellent on the mic and seemed to know what he was doing. He also seemed very jacked to be there. So yes Raw has been turned into SNL but it does make the show interesting.

It's a complete toss up between ZZ Top and Jeremy Piven for me.

I like ZZ Top. I'm a big fan of their music. However, keeping them backstage and pretend to play while making horribly bad puns of their songs that much of today's generation just doesn't know was a horrible idea. I mostly blame creative for this debacle, as they clearly had no idea what to do with them.

Jeremy Piven wasn't great, but I could have dealt with him, though I can't stand Entourage. Dr. Ken made me want to shoot myself. He was irritating as all hell, and didn't even approach being funny. I'm usually not the type to say "I hated" an episode of Raw, but I really did hate that episode.

The best, for me, by far was The Million Dollar Man. His segments were exceptionally well done, relevant, and actually progressed a few storylines. Ted Sr is the type of guy they should have around just so the younger guys can learn how to cut a proper promo.

Shaq has been the best so far IMO. It was a very solid show. It appears he was also very comfortable with being on the mic and at the show, it didn't have an awkward feel about it at all. He was passionate, fun, energentic and was just having fun. Over all a good show and a real good guest host.

On the flipside.... I'd either have to go with Sgt. Slaughter as the worse guest host or Jeremy Piven. Piven was alright, not bad, but as has been said Dr. Ken was annoying , ******ed and so freaking over the top that I wish when Cena threw him over the top rope, his dumbass would have gotten knocked out. I could not stand him at all, I saw some found he was humorous, but not me, he was an idiot. Sgt. Slaughter stumbled threw a third of his lines, looked uncomfortable and nervous.

WOW such ZZ Top hate here lol. I thought they were decent, they weren't really that involved, jsut sort of hung back and 'played' the guitar and had some funny interactions with Santino that I liked.

I voted for Piven. Two reasons, the lesser one, because the heel turn didn't really make sense at all, just kind of random and there. The biggest reason.. Dr. Ken, his being there was completely pointless, stupid, annoying and made me want to shoot my tv. I could not stand him at all. He pissed me off beyond belief and ruined what could have been a good guest host. I'm glad he got his bell rung, I wish however he had gotten knocked out, that would have been funny. So between Dr. Ken and the odd heel turn, Piven get's the worst guest host vote.

I have loved the guest host thing so far. "Hardcore IWC fans" might hate it, but the ratings have been decent since they have included them. It's a good way to get WWE more mainstream publicity(Pivens, Green, and Shaq have all got mainstream publicity).

I didn't really care for Pivens, just because it was obvious he didn't really like or watch WWE(summer fest), but guys like Green, Shaq, and Prinze are all fans, and their participation has been nice. If they were all just their to promote their new shows/movies, and basically just that, I'd be pissed but for the most part their not.

Only problem I see is that their gone in a week. I actually think both Shaq and Freddie Prinze could be used again, effectively. I don't want them to wrestle all the time, but I think both have the "goods" to pull off a reccuring character pretty well.

But to answer the question, I'd say ZZ Top. They were pretty pointless and didn't really add any excitment or anything important to the show. But as long as the ratings go up(or even stay the same)and the WWE keeps getting good press, I say keep the guest hosts coming for a little while.

Shaq was probably the best celebrity guest host overall as far as media exposure and ratings go. I really liked The Million Dollar Man. Call my old school but that had a good old school feel to it. I think it was a good idea though to have celebrity guests that were either athletes or fans of the show. ZZ Top was god awful, Seth Green and Piven were just there to promote themselves. Piven may be friends with Triple H, but I don' t think the guy has watched one wrestling match.

Freddie Prinze Jr. actually surprised me. He was really enthusiastic and clearly a real WWE fan. As long as WWE books celebrities that are passionate about the product and aren't there to stink it up, I.E. Piven. Raw will have many entertaining episodes to come.

I havent been a fan of this whole guest host concept so far. I missed ZZ tops episode, judging by the responses it was not ver good lol. Personally of the ones I have seen, I hated Jeremy Piven. First off, I had never heard of him, and wasn't excited for him. He wasnt all that bad. The part that pissed me off was Dr. Ken. He was so obnoxious. He made lame joke after lame joke, and just ruined every segment he was in. It was awful.

As far as the ones I did like, Ted Dibiase and Shaq were my favorites. I knew Dibiase was gonna be good, but I was very surprised at how entertaining Shaq was.
You were fortunate to miss the ZZ top episode. :wtf: :banghead: Enough about that though, I am right alongside you with the Jeremy Piven/Dr. Ken duo being just ridiculously a failure. I have such a photographic memory when it comes to remembering faces from some random movie, regardless of the amount of times viewed. I remember Jeremy Piven as the gay department store associate in Rush Hour 2, that's all. When they said he was hosting RAW, I dropped my head and was like...REALLY WWE? You can't do better than that?

Dr. Ken got on my last nerve to where my finger was quivering over the POWER button on the TV remote. TD Sr. and Shaq have by far been the best! Hopefully Money Mayweather can deliver some flava to the RAW scene due to his exposure on the grandest stage of them ALLLLL...Wrestlemania!

If I had to choose, I would agree with the majority and vote for ZZ Top. They're definately some pretty cool dudes, however, they didn't really add anything interesting to the show nor did they interact with the crowd.

With that being said, I think the guest host idea is working out well thus far. I don't think that any of the hosts, including ZZ Top, were bad. I think the celebrity hosts have helped gain main stream media exposure- this was certainly with Shaq.

Sharpsh00ter23, I will have to agree with you on this one. I only remember that Piven guy from Rush Hour 2. By the way, He called it SummerFest, What a ***!!!! Anyway ZZ Top has to be the worse in my book, The lamness they brought to the WWE makes me wonder why in the hell are all the creative geniuses still employed! By far the best I have seen are Shaq and Freddie Prince. The reason I say Freddie is because at last someone other than Super Cena has stood up to the Great RKO. Plus he sold that move so well, my wife thought he really injured him.

Oh by the the way. I don't know about the but having BOTCH-tista as a guest host was kinda lame to me but that is because I dont like him or his BOTCH-tista Bomb.

You've just been BOTCHED by the BOTCH-Tista BOMB!!!!!

This Botching was brought to you by your friends at BOTCH-Tista Inc. Get your neck injury today!!!

Well I have enjoyed the guest host concept for the most part and I think that most of them have done a pretty good job in that position. However, there are only two that I think didn’t do that good of a job. It might not have been their fault because creative told them to do that, but I still think they did a bad job. Not necessarily horrible, but bad.

Dr. Ken- Notice I only said him and not Jeremy Piven. Jeremy actually did a solid job as guest host even though he messed up and called Summerslam, Summerfest. But really, who doesn’t mess up every once in a while? Even wrestlers who are trained and wrestle for most of the year in front of thousands of fans mess up once in a while, whether it is when they are doing a promo or when they are wrestling. Anyways, I didn’t like Dr. Ken because I just thought he was annoying. I wasn’t annoyed at first but then after a little while he just annoyed me with his antics. I do however have to give him praise for taking a bump and not badmouthing the wrestlers or WWE the next day for having hit his head on the floor when he was thrown to the outside by Cena.

The other hosts that I think did a horrible job are ZZ Top. What did they really do? All they did was stand backstage with their guitars which I don’t think they were really playing. Then you had comedy segments that were just horrible. I just don’t think they added anything to the show because well…they didn’t do anything. The least they could have done is play one of their songs…but I probably would have thoughts they still did a bad job.

I say sgt slaughter. You may call it cheap heat when he insulted canada but it was still entertaining anyway. The image of a fan tearing up the sgt slaughter sign he brought to cheer him on with is just priceless. Ted Dibiase sr was a close second, but sgt Slaughter did it for me.

Shaq IMO was the best host. From the opening confrontation with Jerishow to the final segment with him taking Big Show down he was entertaining.with LeBron hosting in the near future wonder if he;ll bring Shaq back with him.

What are you all talking about. the geust host is unbarable. Shaq was alfull and wwe doesnt need actors and washed up basketball players getting over on there stars. Big show would destory Shaq. Hell Jerico would destory Shaq. Chrime time is enterining but haveing them as Shaq backup is dumb. Ted Dibiase was ok but every outher gust host sucks. Eric Bishoff needs to GM Raw.

ZZ Top were by far the worst. They had no charisma and no sense of entertaining. They were complete shit.

Other than that I have liked the guest host gimmick. Everyone has done a pretty decent job bar Dr Ken. I wish it had been just Piven in that one but the end was cool, I like seeing Piven cross body off the top rope but the Dr Ken parts were pretty piss poor.

The best so far have been Ted, Shaq and Seth Green for me. All these shows were pretty decent.

Shortly this is a what if questin. Pick who u want, but not stone cold or the Rock, we all want that. Who would be your choice for guest host of raw. Or would you end it forever?
My pick Nascar driver Carl Edwards 99. He is already frinds with John Cena and he could probaly body slam bigshow.:wtf:
Then I would end it.
Thats it what do u think??:wtf:

Ah, well, this is a toughy.

My first and foremost choice should be fairly obvious: Mr. Joss Whedon. Think about it, they've already used Seth Green (Oz), and Sarah's old man (FPJ). The best way to cap it all off would be to use the most powerful man in the Whedonverse. They could even keep up with "Santino tries to be an actor" schtick.

Outside of that, I'd say stick with the wrestling legends. They've got a better grasp (storyline wise) of what should happen. Aside from which, they've got more of a connection with the fans.

I'm not sure Whedon is that well known outside of the fan boy scene, so I don't know if that would be any kind of draw, but than again I could be totally wrong and more people might actually know who he is.

Well I don't actually like the concept of the guest hosts but I am assuming there is another place for that discussion.

My dream guest host would probably be Randy Couture; I would love to see a wrestler VS an MMA star. I just think the possibilities with this would be really interesting.

But overall I would prefer the whole thing to end. It just wastes time on raw that could be used to further the midcard or push young talent.

out of wrestlers or managers. i would say.... paul heyman he would be great and would make a huge draw for monday. another one i would say is trish stratus. there hasn't been a female to geust host raw yet so trish would be a perfect choice. out of the celebs (movie& tv stars) i would go with. silvester stallone. he has been good friends with some of the wwe legends. and it would be funny santino comes out and comes out like rocky and says he is the new itallian salmon. another actor would be william shatner ithink he would be an awsome pick.
out of the music celebs im not a fan of these guys and they do suck and those people are the jonas brothers. with the wwe reaching out to kids and jonas brothers are the right choice evn though i hate them. out of the athletes i would go with peyton manning because i think he is the only one from the nfl Qbs that would host.
