I was kind of hard on his heel turn last week but I thought his promo tonight wasn't too bad. He tried to be a little funny with the Little Jimmy shit but other than that I thought he did a good job.

I think his heel turn could really work.

Alright so after watching the R-truth segment on raw I come to actually gain a little bit more respect for Truth he looks like he can play the heel role very well, what do you guys think?

R-Truth is absolutely amazing as a heel, and is exactly what Raw needs. It looks like his full potential was hidden all this time. The crowd reactions he received today has been absolutely crazy. He played the crowd very good as well. Who else thinks he's better as a heel than a face? Discuss.

that segment went way too long jomo should have come out earlier, i don't even by him as a heel, he needs to lose the baggy jeans if he wants to be considered a heel

Agreed. I joined this forum just to give Truth some praise. That was one of the best promos ive heard in a LONG time. Truth's got the potential to be one of the greatest heels of all time if he's used right. He's got the look, he's WAY over, he's EXCELLENT on the mic, and he's as good as it gets at playing to the crowd. That was simply incredible!

One of the greatest heel promos ive heard in years. He's got the look, he's over with the crowd, and knows how to get them going. Gunna be a top heel for a long time if WWE uses him to his potential.

Discuss I sure will. I thought it was an EXCELLENT promo, really playing to the crowd. Truth is clearly going to be an excellent heel and hopefully will be pushed towards silverware. It's obvious that Truth's potential was there all along, but he just wasn't firing as a face. As a heel, he can go a long way.

Truth's heel turn is the best thing to happen on Raw in a while...liking it.

So what are you saying a heel can not put on baggy pants? If anything He looks more like a dangerous thug I'm not racist I'm just saying but the baggy pants make him look more like a heel then wearing some trunks which

Amazing promo by Truth, the best of his career hands down. Yelling at the crowd to Shut Up instead of saying Wassup was hilarious. Then arguing with them about the What chant was classic. Definitely the best decision of his career turning him heel.

I thought it was pretty good haven't seen a good heel promo in a long time. Do you guys think he will be the big heel on RAW?

I think it stands a good chance. Just in the space of 5 minutes, Truth proved that he can connect to the crowd very well as a heel. The man already has the athletic ability to go toe to toe with the best. If he continues to prove his worth as a heel this way, I think he'll be seeing gold at some point in the not-too-distant future. Aside from Miz, WWE is really lacking in heels that can really work the crowd like that.

I would not like to see Truth in any kind of stable right now. He has a chance to go it alone as a top heel and should just do so. He doesn't need guys around him. To be honest, given WWE's track record of awful stables that just haven't worked (Corre & Nexus), I think the stable idea should be put to bed for a while, until something as good as the nWo or DX can come along.

I wouldn't mind seeing a stable with R-Truth but I doubt it would happen. Have Mark Henry, Ezekiel Jackson, Otunga with their leader R-Truth. They could bring back Tony Atlas and Abraham Washington to help them with some of the mike work and as managers. I do, however, agree with others who are fed up with the stables that have been coming up lately. My deal is the stables have been handled pretty badly in terms of storylines and decent feuds. RKO disappeared with a whimper, Nexus just gets their asses kicked by Orton, the Corre got the wind taken out of them by that match at WM. I mean they started out great but the execution in the end was a real disappointment.

I am not going to lie, i like the promo, at first i was worried because from last week, tonight his promo sound like he was being himself and that exactly what he did in his promo, i hope he keeps this up

Already knew without a doubt hed put on a great promo, just watch his heel work in TNA if you can find any videos. Only thing I was worried about was the limitations the PG label was going to put on him, seems like WWE didnt care and let him go over the top anyways. Loved it, had me hooked :)

I loved him promo. Thought it was awwwwwesssssooooooooooome !!! best promo of his career by far. He really has improved with his mic skills from his awful mic skills from last week. Haven't seen a good heel promo from a heel in while.

BTW would you consider the word piss as a swear (it is the PG era isnt it?)

"Ya'll better stop with that what."
"Ya'll are pissin me off."
"You people have no rhythm."
R-Truth is getting more time on the mic, and it was a major improvement over last week. He and Morrison's promo last Monday was awkward and filled with poor timing on both sides, and what he spit before Morrison came out was also pretty bad. This time he was allowed to go at the mic as a heel and did amazing, in my opinion. He needs to stay on Raw after the supplemental draft, otherwise, he'll have a lot of explaining to do on SmackDown.

Firstly as Justin LaBar mentioned, he thought WWE would draft Sin Cara to Smackdown to cover up botches with his entrance and his ring work, this leads me to my point.
I may be looking too much into this but R-Truth swore twice in his excellent promo tonight, (if you've seen any previous heel promos of R-Truth in other companies, he does have a tendency to swear a bit and I can see him swearing in his future promos) this leads me to believe that WWE could possibly draft Truth to SD to cover up his swearing. Or they may simply just boldly command him to not swear again or else.....
Despite this, I actually believe I am just looking too far into this haha :D

His promo was a bit long for my taste, but it was on point. As someone mentioned, he's played a heel before, so this isn't foreign territory for him. I am sooooo glad they have allowed him to progress his character in this manner. He'll need to change his in-ring style a bit to be more aggressive versus his high-flying face style, but that will come with time. He needs to destroy somebody else the same way he did Morrison, or even Morrison again, and he will solidify his heeldom. Yes, I said heeldom.

I loved the R-Truth promo tonight. Really well done. I hated him as a face with all of the "what's up" bullshit, but I think he can be really effective as a heel. The way he interacted with the crowd and seemed to get pissed off by them, really great. Blaming the crowd, classic heel work. It will be interesting to see how much the WWE lets him run as a heel.

When he used to cut a promo as a face, he was too jacked up and I found him almost impossible to understand. As a heel tonight, more controlled and I could actually understand what he was saying. Lots of pauses due to the "what" chants, which helped his promo overall.

DAMN! That promo was outstanding the way he was getting "pissed" when the crowd went what? and then he screamed SHUT THE HELLL UP AND for me that that go him over in my book

I'm not going to say good or bad on Truth...But honestly to tell the truth it doesn't take a lot to be a heel just a know how to get the crowd to hate you... Look at michael cole he six and yet he's a top heel why? Because we all hate him. I think it was jericho in a lions tale who said the it was easier to be a heel than a face...but if they can give truth something to do by being heel and to make him relevant more power to them....now mark henry I have know idea but if he ran through a wall in his entrance and had a big oh yeah!!!! Play on the tron and loud speakers I would mark out for him...btw he would have to wear a purple outfit lmao.

Of course we all loved it. People in the WWE ignore the audience reaction so much sometimes that we can't help but get fired up when somebody mans up and reacts to the WHAT! chants. I don't know why more heels aren't willing to play with a crowd like that. Over the last year and a half, we've seen more audience interaction than usual from the likes of Punk, Barrett, and Miz, but Truth really rode them particularly hard. It was very un-WWE of this era. As is the case with Zack Ryder, we care about this Truth because it's something we've been neglected of. Kudos to Truth for some fine work. Kudos to the WWE if they let Truth go out and do it again next week.

I enjoyed the promo immensely.. Interaction with the crowd is something very few heels do aside from the "angry face" when the you suck chants start... (I'm not including punk who does feed off the crowd and does interact with them..)

I will say though the only thing that did detract from the promo was the overuse of the bug eyed truth stopping because the crowd said "what" to him... I liked it the first 1 or 2 times, but over the course of the promo he must have done it 3-4 times MORE than what was probably needed...

All that being said, it worked and worked well... I think he'll be a pretty decent heel and chances are after extreme rules (which I'm doubting morrison will win based on how things are shaping up..) He'll work a nice program with john...

Totally wrong. Cole is not a top heel is a top douche bag that is not entertaining that we dont want to see on tv . That is NOT proper heel thats just a wanker. Give me enough tv time and I will get you to hate me as well, but that wont make me a top heel.
