Steve Austin : Drinks 749794769499 BEERS. Thumbs UP.
R-Truth : Smokes ONE cigarette. Lynch him.

What's up?

You got that right. I was just thinking the same thing. I like how Rtruth put so much emotion in his heel turn. Now it has fans wondering what he will do next.

Like a previous poster said, his smoking is no worse that Stone Cold and his beers.

As for the turn, it was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've always thought that the best turn was the "frustration turn". First off, coming in as a face, he HAD to accept the match because that was the face thing to do. The the frustration as losing his title shot AGAIN (remember he was taken out of a title match before) was too much for him to bear so he flipped out and turned on his friend. Not like they didn't hint at a possible turn last week anyways. While it may have lasted a little while longer than most would have liked, it was reminiscent of heel turns of the past, and I LOVED IT!!!!

Yeah the heel turn was great but that doesnt take away from the fact that his promo was one of the worst ive ever seen. He seemed like a fool and just stupid. Dancing around and not even talking right. I almost thought he was high

Yeah its cool thats hes a heel but thats not gunna change the fact that hes horrible on the mic and cant really wrestle that well.

What this did was made a person who seemed to have fallen between the cracks become relevant again, if only for a short period of time. I actually can not wait to see where they take him from this point.

As much as people try to forget about it, R-Truth has been a World Champion before while he was a part of TNA. R-Truth is a great wrestler if given the right to dance his way instead of the crap moves he has to do now, and during his matches he can get a pretty decent reaction from the fans. Even his entrance he can get a great reaction from the fans.

Furthermore, his heel switch was pulled at absolutely right time. This can only be a win-win for John and Truth. This get's Truth to become an actual threat and a contender for a title or two while JoMo can get over with the fans by beating his chain-smoking former tag partner. After ER JoMo and Truth can have their own individual feud for the Number One contender spot for the WWE title. (If JoMo doesn't win at ER)
Now that Morrison took Truth's spot, it gives Morrison and Truth a reason to be on T.V. weekly. And after that feud, Truth can get a guy like Bourne over while JoMo went on to main event against Miz later in the year.

All and all, I am loving the new Truth and I can't wait to hear the crowd boo him as he sings his entrance song.

Everyone being up in arms about the smoking bit is fucking ridiculous. People smoke. Kids see people smoke everyday and they hear in school and, if they have parents who aren't completely fucking worthless, they hear from their parents how smoking is bad for you. If they still do it because they saw someone on TV do it, they deserve whatever happens to them. It's no one's fault that they aren't capable of making the correct decision but their own. This is coming from someone who started smoking at 13. I never blamed anyone but myself for it, because it was my fault.

It was a good heel turn. Shit, for once I am actually looking forward to seeing Truth again. The beatdown was done extremely well and the smoking kinda solidified it. I was happy to see this much out of Truth and I'm starting to think he has more to offer than we have seen before.

I like the R-Truth heel turn now I hope he don't say '' Whats Up '' anymore, but here's a thought next week is the WWE 2011 Draft why did they turn him heel a week before the draft, him or JO MO could wind up on Smack Down don't get me wrong I like the heel turn but why one week before the draft why.

I liked it. I've been saying that Truth's character has needed some refreshing as of late. A heel turn could very well put the spark in his career that he's needed for awhile now. The only thing I don't understand is the reasoning for removing him from the main event from Extreme Rules. I think a heel R-Truth in the match would be much more entertaining than Morrison. I hope he'll get re-inserted and the match becomes a Fatal 4 Way. After Extreme Rules, Truth and Morrison could feud assuming neither of them get drafted next week.

It reminded me a lot of Michelle's heel turn in late 2008. It just went on too long and seemed totally heatless by the end of it. But I thought Truth did a good job. The smoking bit was odd, but it tied in with the whole promo's content which was "Truth is physically fit to be in a WWE Title match."

They could've picked someone else for Truth tho. Morrison is as sympathetic as a flopping fish (which he looked like btw)

R Truth's heel turn was probably one of the best I've ever seen. I think this is a necessary move to actually build the guy up and get rid of all the flashy (and pointless) moves.

Wow, I thought threads like this were a myth.

They weren't promoting smoking especially because it was a heel doing it. I could see if Cena or Orton did it but that's not the case and never would be as long as they are seen as role models which Truth is not.

that was 1 sick heel turn i gatta give it to truth, after losing it all and having the crowd turn on you he jus snapped and with ther smocking and all just made it more intense. Its not like in TNA where jeff just smocked to smoke but for truth it had a meaning to it.

I love the heel turn, I felt one of them (morrison or truth) turning after the match and Im pumped for Truth most likely getting a new theme song. I wonder if he will go to SD or stay on Raw.

The smoking was obviously a plant... if.you remember morrison brought it up during his part of the promo. Truth wasn't even inhaling. Anyway, best heel turn I can remember in recent time. Complete 180 and totally unexpected (unless you read the spoilers). I'm sure (errr... praying) this brings with it some new theme music. Somehow I smell a fatal 4 way for the strap at extreme rules. Truth will stay involved since his new on screen smoking persona is so extreeeeeeme!!

I absolutely loved the heel turn. When he randomly ended up in a PPV WWE title match last week, my first thought was.. "R-Truth better be turning heel". Okay, well actually my first thought was "WHAT THE EFF!?".. but him turning heel was my second.

I used to love Ron "The Truth" Killings in TNA. I don't really know why. As a heel, as a face, as a member of 3LK.. I loved it all. Maybe it's because he was just different at the time. I loved when he came to WWE.. but over the last year I've just been really down on him. It's gotten stale, boring, and WWE's done a good job of making him look like a jobber trying to fight his way out of the bottom of the barrel.

One of the things I do know that I loved about him in TNA as a heel, was that he was very responsive to the crowd. Whether it was going along with something they said, pointing out one guy and responding to what he said, or just talking back in general. Watching him do that tonight, by getting the cigarette's and talkin to them as he lit it was great. I also loved the slight craziness that he expressed. One second he looked at JoMo with sadness as if he couldn't believe his good friend was in pain, then the next.. he was concussing the guy with some vicious (looking) knees. The water bottle spot was gold. Blowing the smoke on JoMo was gold. And i'm really anxious to see if they can take all the immediate heat he got in one fell swoop, and run with it.

Dedicating over a quarter of Raw to R-truth made for a boring Raw.

Smoking a cigarette looked so unnatural for him, I don't know if hes really a smoker backstage, but he looked like he was acting, which makes for bad acting.

Truth heel, fresh etc... but 30 minutes of RAW's opening for that? Thats almost as bad as the 20 mins of previews for the next WWE straight to trash movie.

This was the best heel turn I've seen in a long time. I always felt that R-Truth had alot to offer the WWE; I've followed his career from NWA Wildside to now and can't understand why people hate on him so much. I really hope he ends up being more of an psychotic bipolar type heels as he showed signs of personal conflict during the attack on JoMo. Now hopefully they put him in the main event at ER.

Right on man i loved this guy in TNA. Finally no more sing-alongs. He did a really good job acting like he was sad, then hitting Morrison with the water bottle. How he acted towards the crowd also was beautiful.

Ah dude come on. Now youre just being a hater. That dam segment was the best part of the Fucking show. He looked good acting. It actually was very intense and convincing. I would love to know who your favorite wrestler is on Raw.

Ì looooove this heel-turn! Truth looked a little psychotic to me. It almost scared me lol. I hope that's what we are going to get, the psychotic heel.
And I am probably the only one who also loved the opening-segment tonight (the part until the match). It's wasn't good mic-work, but it entertained me and that's what matters most to me.

Im surprised they let him smoked. You hear all the time, Vince McMahon hates cigarettes. Maybe its the new booking with Steph and Triple H....

When R-Truth becomes a fan fav again, do they sell big plastic cigarettes? lol

I never thought I'd see the day that K-Kwik was a threat in WWE. I agree with a previous poster, the best heel turns are the frustrated heel turns. I LOVED when Jeff Hardy turned heel in like 2001 or something, during Undertaker's biker phase. He kept not winning and it pissed him off. I liked that and I like this with Truth. He made a dumb decision, his best friend goaded him into an idiotic match (come on... morrisson DID make him do that), and he lost it cleanly. Meaning A: he was an idiot to take the match, and B: It showed him he couldn't cut it anyway the way he was, so he snapped. It was great, and I did NOT see that coming (I didn't read the spoilers... honestly I wasn't even aware it was in England and taped.). I honestly thought Truth was only in the match so that Miz could "win" and still not "beat" Cena himself, by pinning Truth. While I don't see a WWE Championship run in Truth's future, if he plays this character right, and creative handles it right, I could see this angle making me believe he could be champ. Thats a good thing. As far as the smoking goes, I thought it was odd during the promo they mentioned it, I honestly thought "that seems like something a heel would do". And he did.

I like it. It's PG, and it's geared towards kid like "bad guys smoke" but goddamn is it fun or what? Truth, once he gets settled into a heel frame of mind should be all kinds of fun. I'm just not sure what he'll do for a cheap pop now. I guess instead of "whats up" it'll be "light up"

Oh, and how funny is it, all those ******ed "JON MORIZUN IZ BEN PUNISHED FER HIZ FUD WIT TRISH BAKSTAGE!!!!!" yea what now?

The back and forth between them was awful but it's about time truth turned heel. I said in the past that truth worked better as a heel.
