This weeks Smackdown marked an all new low; beaten in under 10 seconds and her new gimmick is she has a farting problem?

At the start of last year she was the Divas champ but that got cut short and while the Divas of Doom idea seemed good it went nowhere, all Nattie did was take pins and now her and Beth don't even seem to be a duo.

In a recent interview CM Punk mentioned a break up and said the girl has become a douchebag with most thinking he was referring to Beth, now Beth hasn't been on the main shows for a few weeks and her face is healed enough for her to wrestle, meanwhile Natalya has been but she's now at a point where she's losing to Oksana and the commentators spent the time putting over the fact they could smell her farts.

It feels like maybe both are in the doghouse right now but Nattie is getting the worst of it.

I'm not sure what they're doing with Natalya. I actually kind of like the fact that she's away from Beth. She seemed to be getting the "Cody R/Ted D treatment" from back in their Legacy days. Natalya is obviously one of their better female wrestlers, but I think you're right. Remember when the whole "Piggy James" thing went down? People said it was because management was pissed at her. Eventually Mickie was gone, I really hope this isn't history repeating itself because I honestly thought they were waiting for Alicia Foxes return to bring Beth back. Ya know, new feud and all that Jazz.

I think it's a case of Natalya may have inherited the job of "Diva Welcoming Committee". That is, she is to show the newbies the WWE way of doing things, then put them over to give them credibility. Supposedly, it's considered an honor in the locker room because it shows Vince trusts you.

Years ago, Molly Holly had the position, and that's why she was putting over Stacy Keibler and Christy Hemme. When she left, Victoria took her place.

They are clearly using the same tactics for getting over for the women as they do the men... get one of the best in the division to put new talent over.

I'm getting tired of the talented divas jobbing to the not so talented ones. Last night on smackdown was ridiculous, I'd take Mae Young's hand or Triple H's necrophilia over Nattie farting any day. I mean, yeah, we're in the "PG Era," but do we really need to do fart jokes? I would really love it if Natalya left WWE and ended up in TNA where they actually appreciate the talents of their women. Hell, I'd rather Beth Phoenix make her way to TNA as well.

On a side note. Aksana looks so damn hot these days with the black hair and leather.

Exactly. It's not even just Aksana this week. She's been flat out jobbing for months now. The 'welcome mat" bit is understandable to a point since there's always one of the vets doing so, but divas like Kelly Kelly and Alicia Fox (wtf) are ex Diva's champs and don't need someone to help put them over, esp not Natalya who was just in a storyline about being a dominant force in the Diva's division.

Natalya is one of the best female performers they have and sadly, it will be another case of WWE not realizing what they have until it's contract time. I mean a fart gimmick? Really? Really? That's the kind of crap that hurts your credibility in the long haul and not just a short term laugh. Ask Matt Morgan in his WWE run. No matter how dominant they tried to make him look, he was the idiot with the stuttering problem and could never regain any momentum.

Pretty sad, Natalya jobs non-stop and she is one of the few they have that can really go, makes you wonder who she pissed off....guess it doesn't matter much since none of them get more than 3 minute matches anyway:/ On a side note I thought Tamina looked pretty impressive.

Total bullshit. I don't care what WWE thinks the diva's are not a draw and never will be til they get credibility and the only way to do that is have females that have physical presence and can atleast appear somewhat like the men in terms of matches.

Beth, Natalya, Eve have that ability, hell even the Belle Twins have improved vastly, the rest are a waste of space and yet they are the ones that get pushed.

She was deported, how many people remember that? she was married to Goldust and he filed for a divorce and thusly she was deported. Since she's returned as a "new" character lol they've never once made mention to that fact.

In others news, I feel bad for Nattie. It's another case where another good female wrestler is the scrub for the models. If Beth and Nattie get to TNA. The golden days for women wrestling over there returns. WWE is a lost cause.

I guarantee that this smackdown was to make a bigger rivalry between Natalya and Tamina. No matter how they do it I have a huge feeling that they will. WWE isn't stupid enough to let someone as talented as Natalya go. Like honestly if they did imagine the outrage from the WWE Universe. Natalya is one of the most memorable divas out there.

Now, I don't mind Natalya jobbing to Aksana - partly because I don't really care about any diva that isn't Trish, Lita, or Kharma/Kong, and partly because at least that sliver of a storyline she now has with Tamina was advanced. But what's the point of the farting? At all? If it's to highlight that Natalya's all talk and less walk: well, there are lots of ways to do so and not make an ass of a backstage segment. Why that? WHY?

I've been wondering for a while why Nattie has basically been squashed on TV. She has had a couple decent matches on Superstars but they have all been losing efforts.

I like that they are trying to push Tamina but Nattie is legitimately skilled and it kinda sucks to see her like she is now. Like everyone from the Hart legacy she has little mic skill but she is very technical and puts on decent matches.

One of the issues is that I think unless you are in an all female promotion like Shimmer or something similar its hard to build a good female heel unless they are an absolute beast like Kharma or a strong larger than normal diva like Beth. They just don't get much air time and the best looking divas are usually faces.

I try not to give them shit because The Bellas and Kelly Kelly have made progress but even in the PG era people still view diavs as either eye candy or ,like in the recent cases of Eve and AJ, damsels in distress

To learn what's happened with Natalya, we would have to be in on the company's thoughts of what they want to do with the diva division. Yes, the loss of Kharma last year put a wrench in the whole thing; we had the idea they were going to turn the entire division upside down, building it around Kharma and having the other women playing useful roles in combating the big woman; that's a storyline.

Then, when Kharma left, it looked as if they were going to make Beth and Natalya the leaders of the divas and construct a "reign of terror" around them. For a few weeks, it seemed to be working, and finding out why it was abandoned would be the key to understanding WWE's vision for the divas.

The main focus this past Summer was Kelly Kelly's championship reign. It lasted longer than anyone might have expected and was decent entertainment. But it ended, along with Kelly's push, and it seems as if the diva division has been in a holding pattern since.

Are they waiting for Kharma's return rather than building something else that would just get shoved out of the way when she does get back? It's possible that's what they're doing, but I hope she comes back soon so a new direction (or any direction) can be established.

As for Natalya, the sad truth is that it doesn't really matter whether she's a dominant terror in matches, or if she jobs to models; the division simply doesn't mean anything in terms of wins and losses. But yes, Natalya's wrestling skills, lineage and zaftig appearance still lend themselves to her and Beth making a better showing than they do at this time.

Right now, it's a waste. Soon, hopefully, it will all take shape.

Oh my, what have the diva's come to? It's not like I actually give a shit anymore, but Natalya deserves a bit better than this. I just read a report that the angle is being done to get Natalya over and provide entertainment. At least this is proof the WWE cares enough about the division to get them over. While the argument could be made that Natalya is as charismatic as a rock, she can certainly wrestle. These types of angles should be used for Alicia Fox, Kaitlyn, and others who cannot rely on wrestling abilities to get over. Remember Alicia Fox getting booed live on Raw a couple months back; she could certainly use this gimmick alot more than Natalya.

If given the time, Natalya should be able to get over on her own. Sure she's had plenty of exposure, but never truly a long feud to establish her capabilities. LayCool were perfect examples of this. They were bullies. They were given a significant amount of time on Smackdown each week to cut promos and whatnot; and they got over...HUGE. Natalya is paired with another Diva who is another fantastic wrestler; Beth Phoenix There is no reason these two should not be over right now. While the reasoning for this gimmick could certainly be blamed on Natalya, WWE Management and the writers are at fault too. Give these two time, rid them of any unnecessary gimmicks and watch them shine. Time is the key word here. Not necessarily gimmicks.

Haven't seen this, but if someone is saying that this is the only way to make Natalya entertaining, it's assinine.

Hey I love me some eye candy Divas for like a minute or two but someone whose matches I would actually watch are either Kharma or Phoenix or Nattie or Tara. I had an inkling that they would make Nattie a submission specialist would come up with brand new holds and make all the pretty girls tap out and shit, earlier last year, but it only happened in my head,


This gimmick screams doghouse to me for some reason. I maybe a sucker for dirt sheet gossip and stuff but this isn't a regular gimmick storyline that creative comes up with. Everytime a demeaning or pot shot character like Piggy James is televized the gossip mill goes crazy, and maybe, just maybe a sense a twitter tirade against a certain 'saviour' coming.


Anyway I don't like it. I don't enjoy anyones flatualence except mine. I don't wanna see a good talented, kinda hot woman fart on TV and disgust people.

Ok this is the first thread I have ever created so be gentle.

For a few months I had to suffer through Beth and Natalya going from the Divas of doom,to pin up strong the next week,the Divas of destruction afterward and a sour taste in my mouth as to what the hell creative wanted to call them which really bothered me to begin with and then suddenly Beth became the Divas champion and Natalya and her seemed to split with Beth being away from TV for some time and Natalya going on a loseing streak.

The farting started.

This week on smackdown Beth told Natalya to get out of her ring as she squashed Aksana which is leading me to be believe they ARE going to split.

I can't see the split meaning a fued between the two divas as this would have Natalya play the face and a turn for Natalya would mean at the least a small push which would be completely soiled (pun intended) by the fart gimmick,thus no pay off.

Is this just more from creative that is not going anywhere?

Before anyone says who cares it is just a stupid joke,not that important at all and I'm putting to much care into something related to the divas of all talent,I say I'm sick of the lack of pay off in WWE lately.

I remember Natalya being at ringside commentary when she was Divas champ. It was just "i have respect for her...." as standard comment. I remember thinking this was rather poor for a diva, but i took it as she was a face champ, and face champions respect their opponents.
I have yet to see her give a good promo on mic really. I thought her and Beth would rip the diva division up whilst Karma was on hiatus, however the E had different plans.

Natalya NeidFart is the ONLY thing i could think of that would even come close to justifying this angle, but even that is pushing it farther than i would expect to happen.

Agreed. In fact, it's hard to tell exactly what WWE has in mind here. Are they forcing Nattie into embarrassing situations to punish her for something? If they are, is that really the way they want to handle discipline problems, especially with someone of the noble service and family name held by her?

Are they running out of ideas for divas? I've felt bad about the humiliating stuff they've put Drew McIntyre through (being super-kicked out of a routine in seconds by HBK, being eliminated in 10 seconds from a battle royal, begging and pleading Teddy Long) but it's still preferable to what they're doing with Natalya. It's degrading and stupid.

And how does she feel about it? Does she love the idea? Would she rather be utilized this way than not at all? Has she been promised a push in exchange for it? How exactly do they do things backstage, anyway?

One thing for sure: with this gimmick, Natalya's problems are behind her.

I never thought I would end up saying the following 5 words together, in this order, but.... I agree with Mark Madden. I usually strongly disagree with anything he states in his articles, but he is absolutely 100% spot on in what he said about Natalya and her current.... "gimmick". She needs to quit before this destroys her career. Forget her much deserved Divas Championship reign. Forget her prestigious family background. She will end up being remembered for this horrible excuse for a "gimmick" if it goes on for too long. What possessed them to do this to Natalya? She obviously made the wrong people angry or else she would not be put through this.

She deserves better. Natalya is someone who should be being built up to face Beth at Wrestlemania in a WRESTLING match between two girls who can actually WRESTLE. Granted Kharma is back, so the division is not in as significant danger as it might have been if this causes Natalya to quit. If they absolutely HAD to give this "gimmick" to someone, why give it to one of the few divas who has excelent in-ring skills? They could give it to one of the girls from the divas NXT season, or one of those models who can't wrestle. WWE should be ashamed of themselves. They just might lose arguably their best diva in Natalya due to a stupid joke with this "gimmick". I honestly hope for Natalya's own sake that she quits if this continues. She could always tear apart TNA's Knockouts division this summer if she quits this week. I'll miss her. Sticking around at the risk of this ruining her is just not worth it.

I gotta say I'm sick of these gimmicks that have absolutely no depth and are on television because someone in creative thinks they are funny.

What good will ever come of this gimmick? A whole lot of nothing. If anything this gimmick is the type of thing that could ruin Natalya's career for good. If this gimmick goes on for a while she could forever be known as the chick who farts and its next to impossible to break a stereotype like that after it starts.

Not only that it seems to be humiliation for the sake of humiliation. If someone is in the dog house for something the best way to screw them over is to not show them on TV at all or just have them lose for a while, that way when they are out of the dog house you can pick up where you left off. If you humiliate a person every week for months on end it can get to a point where you can do irreparable damage to that person and their career.

If they keep it up the best thing for Natalya to do is quit, work in TNA for a while (because they would take her in a heartbeat) and come back if/when WWE stops pulling shit like this to her. Just don't burn the bridge so you can go back later on.

Yeah, I'm thinking that this gimmick means that Natalya got on someone in management's bad side. I don't like this gimmick and as a fan of Natalya, I think she deserves better than this. I'm not really sure if the WWE is going anywhere with this gimmick but I can't really imagine that they are. All we've really gotten out of it so far are some cheap laughs involving Santino looking like he's choking when he steps into an area Natalya farted. It's really stupid. It's especially upsetting because she's one of my favorites on the roster.
