Matt Morgan, TNA's next big thing or more wasted talent?

Morgan, TNA's next big thing?

  • Yes, they are grooming him for Main Event status.

  • No, it's only a matter of time before he gets swept under the carpet due to other tallent.

  • Who cares? It is TNA after all.

I'd say JKO settled this in another thread. Matt Morgan is TNA's Batista.

His size makes him a threat to anyone. He moves and talks well enough that he is credible overall. With a little bit of main event and championship-level experience, he'll be a fixture in the TNA World title scene for a long time.

The difference is that Batista can actually work. Matt Morgan is absolutely atrocious in the ring. I have never seen Morgan put on a good match ever. He's just a big, tough looking guy that is only over because he is feuding with TNA's top heel.

:lmao:

Batista can work? Since when?

He's horrible. Matt Morgan brings a breath of fresh air to the powerhouse style wrestlers in mainstream wrestling.

He's alot more athletic than Big show, he's got got a good reputation which makes it alot better for people to get along with him in the long run. He's a fan favorite for a reason.

Cena and Batista are a disgrace to wrestling period.

Batista is only over because he was the guy who finally ended HHH's "squash, outsmart and bury anyone who gets in my way" streak, and teamed up with Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio. Plus he's injured a lot, giving time for I-hate-this-guy feelings to dribble away. Leaving a big guy with a championship resume and just enough ability in the ring and on the mic to be a credible threat to anyone on the roster.

Which is exactly what TNA has, or should have soon, with Morgan.

Anyone that Jim Cornette thinks is the NEXT big thing I trust. I remember listening to him a few years back on Dave Meltzer's show and for 3 or 4 years he would say wrestlers in OVW who he thought would be big. The last time I heard him was when he said Matt Morgan will be big. He literally is big in height, they say he has above average charisma and I haven't heard people complain about his ring work so that says a lot. If he's a student of the game and strives for excellence he may end up having a very solid career.
