Cibernetico gave an interview to AAA’s website about working their United States tour in a couple of weeks and said that the reason why he is going to work the tour is because this tour was negotiated before his departure from AAA and he would fulfill his bookings. Ciber said that he still hates Konnan but he is a professional and that trumps the hatred of Konnan plus he knows this tour is big for the Roldan family & AAA as a promotion so he wants to help them succeed. Ciber said that he isn’t like some of the guys that doesn’t care about AAA if they leave and that he knows what promotion made him the big star he is so he is paying them back. Ciber said that Konnan being on the US tour doesn’t interest him and that he wants everything to be professional on this tour and that he works for the Roldan’s here that’s it. Ciber was then asked if he would return to AAA full-time and he said that as long as Konnan is there he can’t see it but he would like to work with AAA guys on independent spot shows. Ciber was then asked about if he was going to be one of the surprise guys at Rey de Reyes and he said that his AAA bookings were only for the US tour and that is it and nothing else. Ciber said that he owes the Roldan & Pena families for everything in his career but he is taking his own road to success now and he likes where he is going.

Hijo del Santo was asked today about the WWE making an impact in Mexico and Santo said that he thinks that it was a bad move by the local sponsors to bring in the WWE into Mexico because it means that there are lesser shows in those arenas for bigger independent shows. Santo went on to say that Mexico has a great variety of wrestlers that need work and television exposure and with the WWE coming in like they have it has stopped a lot of promoters from running bigger independent shows because fans are saving their money for when the WWE comes to town. Santo was asked how this affected him personally and he said that it didn’t but it affected the country in general because it is saturating the TV industry and the house show industry because no one can compare with the production values that the WWE has including AAA & EMLL. Santo called out EMLL especially saying that Arena Mexico’s crowds have dipped a lot lately and they don’t know how to market their product for television because if they did then they could overtake AAA and compete with soccer in popularity. Santo said that the younger fans should be exposed to their local wrestlers because with younger fans following the WWE there is no way the promotions and wrestlers can compete against that machine.

NEWS

Maria Elena Ibarra broke the story last night on noroeste.com that the body of Andres Palomque Gonzalez also known as Abismo Negro was found in a river near Mazatlan at 1:30 PM after supposedly having a nervous breakdown on a bus where he forced the driver to put him out at the river. Gonzalez was very despondent at the scene and no one knows what really happened other than he fell into the river and was trapped in the mud thus couldn’t get out. Gonzalez sent a text message to his wife telling her that he was lost in the hills by the river and she got in touch with Vicente Martinez who is the local promoter in Mazatlan who began the search. The search party showed up after going around the local towns showing photos of him trying to get any information and they eventually found his body floating down the river by a bridge. The body was then exhumed from the river and was positively identified as Gonzalez by Jesus Lopez who is the local coroner and he determined that Gonzalez had an anxiety attack which led to the events that caused him to get stuck in the river. Lopez then said that anabolic steroids that Abismo had been supposedly taking at the time could’ve triggered the attack. I’m not sure if they will continue an investigation on this or not or whether there will be an official autopsy.

Televisa broke the news nationally last night and AAA soon followed on their website but neither had any more details. There are tons of rumors going around on whether the death was natural or foul play being involved which considering Gonzalez’s past is definitely an option. Gonzalez was 37-years-old.

Juventud Guerrera told various media outlets over the weekend that last Friday at the AAA TV taping in Ciudad Madero he was the subject of an heinous attack at the hands of Jack Evans & Konnan where he suffered a fractured nose and various wounds on his body. Juventud said that his return to the promotion angered Konnan & La Legion so they decided to handle it their way by someone shitting in Juventud’s bag then getting beaten up in the locker room. Juventud then got medical attention but said that AAA Owner Joaquin Roldan basically ignored the whole situation happened and he quit on the spot saying that Konnan and his boys are running the show and getting away with whatever they want. Juventud had just made his return to the promotion 6 days earlier at Rey de Reyes so this is something to watch for because this could go in a legal direction.

Ultimo Guerrero stated over the weekend that after taking Villano V’s mask last Friday night at Arena Mexico that Villano IV challenged him to a mascara contra mascara match to settle this rivalry between the Laguneros & Villanos. UG told him that they could have that match anytime and anywhere because he is ready for that challenge whenever he is serious about making it. UG then said that he had studied Villano V and especially the match where he took Blue Panther’s mask at the 75th Anniversary Show at Arena Mexico last September so he was well prepared for the toque universal so he had a counter ready. UG said that he achieved Blue Panther’s revenge and it won’t be long before all the Villanos would be maskless.

I have to comment on this one though. I guess now would be good time to ask Slyfox to not even bother with the poll as Juvi didn't even last more than a week in the company. I was going to out that as an option but thought that was not possible for his time on the comapny to be that short. Guess I was wrong......

Xavier has his AAA tv report up at the wrestlingobserver.com:

AAA on Galavision TV report
AAA on Galavision
By: Xavier Hernandez
Show aired on: 03/21/2009

The show starts off with the summary of last week's show. Vampiro is tired og being the comissioner, Roldan and Rivera have a heated confrontation, Chessman fakes an injury to take advantage of Mesias, and the big return of Charlie Manson to the ring. For this show, Charlie Manson will have his first match since the injury, in what could a really good main event (not sarcastic this time).

*Pretaped Segment: El Apache gets off the bus, and takes a picture with a fan, but Billy Boy suddenly assaults him. Angel and Gato make the save, but Billy returns one more time to strike Apache, until security stops him. Apache swears he will destroy Billy the next time they meet inside a ring. backstage, Apahce says he's feeling fine, and he will make an alliance with Angel and Gato to take on the Poder del Norte.

*In-Ring Segment: Konnan inside the ring, to insult the crowd and to throw food at them, for cheap heat. Konnan calls out the Hermandad, to assign the next "187", which is to finish Charlie Manson once and for all. Both Nicho and Lider tell Konnan that the last check they took from him could not be processed. Konnan's bank account is frozen, so the Hermandad couldn't get the cash. This means that the Hermandad won't do 187 to Manson. The slogan of the Hermandad: "No money, no 1987". Konnan says this is a set up from the Roldans to screw Konnan's business. The Tag champs say they won't do anything until they get paid. Konnan calls out Joaquin Roldan, and he enters the ring. But Arturo Rivera is also entering the ring, to protect Konnan. Konnan says he wants an "Apuesta" match. But Joaquin says Konnan doesn't have hair, career, nor dignity to put on the line. Konnan says he will put Rivera's hair against Roldan's hair. Konnan tells Roldan to look for someone to fight for him, and he has a week to do so.

1) El Apache, Gato Eveready & El Angel vs. Poder Del Norte (Tigre Cota, Tito Santana & Rio Bravo)

-Only Fall: Apache handles the three heels by himself, before tagging Angel and Gato. After some good fair action, the rudos start the triple team attack on the tecnicos. Apache makes the comeback with his classic slaps to everyone. Angel tripped in the ropes and fell, so medical staff had to carry him out of the match. With the match turned handicap, Gato connects with a Corkscrew Plancha on Bravo and Tito. In the ring, Apahce hits a Crucifix Powerbomb on Cota, and connects with the Swanton Bomb. Out of nowhere, Billy attacks Apache with a chair, and the referee awards the DQ.

Winners (DQ): El Apache, Gato Eveready & El Angel

-Aftermath: Billy attacks Apache with the help of the Poder guys. Gtao tries to help his partner, but the Poder guys don't let him inside the ring.

*Pretaped Segment: Superfly and Laredo go to Parka, because they want some advice for their match against the Hermandad. Parka yells at them, and tells to leave him alone, becuase he's not in the mood. He just wants to focus on Silver King. Somewhere else, the Hermandad is still pissed off because they have not been paid, plues they're focusing on their match. Konnan tries to calm them down, and says this is a set-up to screw him. The tag champs say they don't care about Konnan's problems, and they just want money. Konnan tells them to finish the tecnicos and Manson, or else they will suffer the consequences. Silver wants to know what's going on, and Konnan tries to come up with the same excuse about the money. Konnan wants Silver to keep an eye on the Hermandad, to know their status with the Legion.

2) La Hermandad (Joe Lider & Nicho El Millonario) vs. RFA (Superfly & Laredo Kid)

-Only Fall: Very technical and fun match, although the heels still have some botched moves on them. Laredo take both heels out with a Tornillo, and so does Fly. The heels snap and begin the double team assault on the tecnicos. The comeback begins with dropkicks and Hurricanranas. Lider hits a sick top rope Full Throttle, but Fly kicks out. Reverse DVD by Laredo on Lider, but Nicho makes the save. Brainbuster by Nicho on Laredo, but Fly breaks the pin. Nicho sets up two chairs, but Fly ends up tossing Nicho into the chairs. Fly hits a Pescado, but Nicho dodges, and the tecnico lands on the chairs. Enziguiri by Laredo on Lider, and then goes for the 450 Splash, but Lider moves. Lider connects with a Full Nelson Bomb to score the pinfall over Laredo.

Winners: Joe Lider & Nicho El Millonario

-Aftermath: Silver King arrives to help the heels destroy the tecnicos. Silver tries to powerbomb Fly into a table, but parka enters the arena. Silver flies from the ring, while the Hermandad attacks Parka. Lider is hiptossed into the table by Parka, and he grabs the mic to tell Silver to start their match right away. Silver refuses, but Parka demands to have his match with Silver now.

*Promo Video: Hype for the feud between Black Abyss and the late great Abismo Negro. Feud that just ended with the events of last Sunday/Monday.

3) Black Abyss vs. Abismo Negro (R.I.P.)

-Only Fall: Abismo begins with a suicide dive, and uses a chair to attack his opponent. Backdrop by Abismo, but the referee refuses to count. German Suplex by Abismo, but the referee refuses to count fast. Abismo misses a Senton, and so does Abyss. Abyss misses a Moonsault, and Abismo rolls him into La Casita, for a two count. Sunset Bomb by Absimo, but the referee refuses to count again. Abismo tries the Martinete, but the referee pokes him in the eye. Abismo knocks the referee down, but Abyss gets him into the Martinete. Referee makes the three count, and its over.

Winner: Black Abyss

Aftermath: Abyss uses the flamethrower, and medical staff carry Abismo out. (Hard match to call for me, after the news I just heard).

*Pretaped Segment: Zorro talks to the Harts, and says he has not forgotten what Teddy told him a few weeks ago. Zorro says betrayal has a big price, but the Harts support Zorro blindly. The Harts leave, but Zorro asks Nikki to stay. Zorro tells her she needs a true man like him, but says every action has its consequences.

4) Mexican Powers (Crazy Boy & Ultimo Gladiador) vs. Hart Foundation 2.0 (Jack Evans & Teddy Hart w/Nikki)

-Only Fall: Another fun and fast paced match, but the MPs have the same style of botching than the Hermandad. The heels use a big arsenal of technical and aerial maneuvers. The MPs make the comeback with the same type of arsenal. Nikki constantly interferes in the match to help the heels. Both Harts have developed a double team move, that I call the "American Tower Assault", which a very painful move. MPs make another comeback with very hardcore and violent maneuvers. Nikki distracts the referee, while the MPs had the Harts beat. Nikki lowblows Crazy, and the referee didn't see it. Nikki "take her top off" to distract Gladiadro, and Evans pins him with a Standing Corkscrew Senton.

Winners: Jack Evans & Teddy Hart

-Aftermath: Crazy tries to attack Nikki, but Teddy gives him a Canadian Destroyer.

*Promo Video: Hype ofn the never-eding feud of Konnan and Roldan, but mostly on the betrayal of Silver King, and how Parka is very furious about this. Silver bows to become Parka's worst nightmare, and Parka is tired of the hipocrisy coming from people.

5) La Parka vs. Silver King

-Only Fall: The referee is taken out, and this is a violent brawl, with a few technical moves. The Hermandad tries to assist Silver, but their help backfires, and Parka takes them out. Silver targets Parka's mask, and delivers hard hitting blows to his forehead. Parka makes another comeback with hard punches. Silver fouls Parka, and the referee tries to make the count, but Parka stops his arm at two. Dragon Scre byy silver on Parka, for another two. Nicho hands a chair to Silver, and he hits Parka with it many times. Referee makes the count, but Parka refuses to be pinned. Parka tosses both Siler and Nicho into the crowd, and throws himself at Silver. Both men continue their battle inside the crowd, and the referee counts them out.

Winner (DCO): DRAW

-Aftermath: Silver and Nicho continue their assault, but security staff splits them.

*Promo Video: Hype on the Konnan-Roldan feud again, and how Charlie Manson became newest addition to this feud. Backstage, Electro talks to Konnan about Konnan's financail problems, and informs him that Kenzo refuses to wrestle without money. Konnan asks Electro to wanr the Legion about not obeying his orders. Konnan also wants Electro to take out his own brother Charlie Manson. Electro tells Charlie that outside the ring they're brothers, but inside the ring, Electro is his worst enemy. Konnan addresses both Latin and Waltman, that the Legion will finish them all.

6) Charlie Manson, Latin Lover & X-Pac vs. Electroshock, Konnan & Zorro

-Only Fall: Your typical TV maint event, with the exception of Charlie Manson's return. Ambush by the rudos, tecnicos make the comeback, heels return to controlling the match, Manson makes the hot tag, locks the Manson Special on his brother Electro, and it's over.

Winners: Charlie Manson, Latin Lover & X-Pac

FINAL COMMENTS: Overall, a failr y good show. My thoughts to the family of Abismo Negro, who just passed away a couple of days agi. I just heard the news before writng this report, and it was quite hard to call his match on this show. He was a key character to AAA, and definitely one of the most popular and iconic wrestlers of this company. I won't say anything else, because Cubsfan just took the words out of my mind. Everything he says is exactly waht I think about Abismo Negro. And I do agree that Black Abyss should disappear for a while, and the Abismo Negro gimmick should disappear for a long time, oif not forever, to respect the person behind the mask. RIP Abismo Negro.

I believe as well that they should retire the gimmick now out of respect for him. But they might want to have someone take it over as a sign of respect and as a memorial to him as well. It was really difficult to watch the video for Rey De Reyes as his group were the first ones to wrestle. Its over on luchalibremexicana's page if anyone would like to see it.

I finally have the interview with El Cuervo from RXW. So here it is:

10 Questions with…El Cuervo!
Saturday, March 14th, 2009 | 10 Questions With..., Independent Events, Independent Press Releases, Independent Results, Interviews with No Comments »
BY NORINE STICE
The third interview from the Revolution Xtreme Wrestling, Panama, roster, is from the wrestler who actually introduced me to the RXW promotion. El Cuervo has a combination of old school and new school style that is quite breathtaking. I have seen him in several matches and have never been disappointed in his performance. In English and Spanish!

1. Can you tell us why you picked the ring name El Cuervo and can you give us your stats? How long have you worked in RXW?

Response: I choose the name Cuervo because one of my sisters is fond of the Crow character. I like martial arts style to wrestle but I stood by the name and gave me good victories in 2 years with RXW.

2. Where did you receive your wrestling training and how long have you been in the professional wrestling ring?

Response: I trained on Roberto Duran Gym on Panama City, Panama. I’ve had many good teachers like Johnny Gonzalez, Celestial, Kent Sui, Pibe to name a few. I have nine years of being in the business that I love so much.

3. Who do you consider your greatest influence in professional wrestling?

Response: My biggest influence was a wrestler called Kent Sui from Panama. Since I was a kid I watched him and I like his fast style.

4. What do you consider to be your strengths in the ring?

Response: My legs and my aerial style are my biggest assets in the ring.

5. What do you consider to be your weaknesses in the ring?

Response: My shoulder has been hurt for quite a while, I think it’s my major weakness, but I tried to take care of that.

6. Can you tell us what you feel was your best match and why you believe it was your best work?

Response: One of my best matches was against “El Rabioso” Blitz from IWA Puerto Rico. Never in my then short career have I been against an international opponent, it was a tough and well fought match, I ended up pretty banged up and bleeding but I got the victory.

7. Can you tell us what you feel was your worst match and why you feel this was not your best work?

Response: I think I had a few bad matches, but my worst was against Tony Loco, Kevin Punk and Saiko, in Genesis 2, it was a bad match for me however you cannot get good matches every time.

8. Of all of the matches you have had, which of your opponents would you consider to be the toughest you ever faced? What advantages did he (or she) have during that match?

Response: Two. Against Blitz and Slash. Blitz is a tough opponent, as well as Slash. I bested Blitz however I lost against Slash.

9. Wrestling fans love creating fantasy matches. If it were possible for you to create your own fantasy match, which wrestler would you choose as your opponent? Why this particular opponent and what do you think the outcome of your fantasy match would be? Don’t hold back, add stipulations and make sure you give us the finishing move.

Response: I would like a mixed tag team action against Jeff Hardy and Candice Michelle with Christy Hemme on my corner. I Love Christy. I met her in Panama and was a very sweet young woman. Of course Cuervo and Christy will win.

10. And, finally, all professional wrestlers have goals they wish to achieve. What is your ultimate goal?”

Response: I hope to be in WWE someday and to prove that in Panama we have a lot of wrestling talent, and maybe win a championship and put my country on top of the WWE and see a dream come true for my mother.

Norine at wrestlingupdate.comput her next interview up with Sky so here it is.

10 Questions With…Sky “the Voice of RXW”!
BY NORINE STICE

1. Please tell us where the name “Sky, the Voice of RXW” originated, how long you have worked for RXW and give us a rundown of the duties your job entails?
Response: The name “Sky” is a short name which derivates from “Skywalker”. I’m a huge Star Wars fan since I remember, and I was a DJ for 4 years on a local radio station, and I used the name “Skywalker” which was shortened to “Sky” by some colleagues and fans. Then when I was called to RXW, Hugo Savinovich told me to keep that name. Everybody knows me by that name now.

My duties in RXW includes doing commentary on live events and also on the RXW Radio show and Zona Impactante our weekly TV show. I’m also the producer of both shows. Also I do a lot of promotion and writing for our website RXW Online sometime I’m called to write for other media as well, when RXW needs real promotion I’m there as well. Lately I’m producing the RXW DVD’s and videos for the web as well.

2. I generally ask wrestlers about their greatest influence in professional wrestling. Is there anyone you would consider a role model?

Response: Definitely Hugo Savinovich was an influence. Before I met Hugo in person I was impressed by his talent and voice. He is one of the most recognizable voices in wrestling and in Latin America in general. I also like Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler. When I was younger I was very fond of the comments of Jesse “The Body” Ventura and the late Gorilla Moonson.

3. You have interview segments known as the “Skybox” and you are bilingual (I say Gracias! for that). Who came up with the plan for the Skybox?

Response: I did. When RXW first opened several international wrestlers came to Panama: Ricky Banderas, Savio Vega, Rikishi and others, but nobody took the time to interview them. So I decided I was gonna make an interview space on our TV show to ask these guys some questions. I started with Savio Vega which won the RXW belt later that year. Scotty 2 Hotty and Sandman followed shortly. The name “Skybox” came to mind since it was a name I liked and it was proper according to my nickname. So I guess all came together.

4. You have interviewed some very big names in the Skybox. Do you have a favorite interview subject?

Response: I have several. I like to ask wrestlers about their beginnings, and toughest opponents and anecdotes. I think fans will like that, since I’m a fan of wrestling since I was like 5 or 6 years old I’ve been following wrestling for quite some time, so on a interview I tried to respect the wrestler persona but as well ask them about some personal questions. My favorite interviews has been with Christy Hemme, she was very open and I offered her to tell the questions beforehand and she was very confident and said “just shoot right away”, she was very friendly. Also the interviews with Hugo Savinovich are fun because of the stories he knows. Usually an interview take 15 minutes and it’s a long interview, with Hugo I’ve had like 30 minutes or interview or two hours when it’s on RXW Radio. You never get a dull moment with Hugo.

5. Have you had a least favorite interview?

Response: Not a least favorite, but I didn’t like very much the result of interviewing Sandman, he was funny when he speak and I was holding my laugh but he gave sometimes poor answers, at least he gave us his “version” of the “plane incident” with Ricky Steamboat. This was a big deal over the web since his version of the story was not known. However, I like that interview because it capture the Sandman nowadays, however I’ve been with better individuals to actually where more concerned of the interview. Another interview I didn’t like much was when interviewing Blitz from IWA he was on character and was all aggressive and I couldn’t get much of that interview.

6. Can you tell us your favorite moment as a ringside announcer?

Response: I like calling the battle royal matches, specially the one we got for “Juicio Final 2007” with international wrestlers like Savio Vega, Scotty 2 Hotty, Sandman and Blitz competing against our local RXW talent. Battle royals are very tough to comment because of the constant action but it was a lot of fun.

7. Along the same thoughts as above, what was your least favorite moment as a ringside announcer?

Response: Calling a dull match, you strive to put some excitement on the match but if the match sucks there’s little you can do about that. When Pibe of Corruption Crew steals our water is also my least favorite moment.

8. You can blame this question on Hugo Savinovich. I recall during your interview with him that he “took one for the team”, referring to a chair shot he received from Hulk Hogan. Has Sky ever taken one for the team, going a little above and beyond the normal announcing duties?

Response: On our first event Savio Vega pushed me and took my chair to hit an opponent, luckily for me there was a friend on the crowd who gave me another chair. Also Savio on another show pushed me when I was trying to reach from his microphone. It wasn’t a big deal really but I didn’t like Savio’s attitude on those moments.

9. Did Sky ever think about entering the ring as a wrestler? If that did happen, who would Sky want to face and why? You can elaborate on this one, consider it a “fantasy match”.

Response: I have no interest on becoming a wrestler, I prefer to be outside the ring calling the action, when I was younger maybe I was interested on becoming a pro wrestler but I didn’t like the way wrestling was handled here, so I cancel that idea, preferring to concentrate on improving other areas.

However wrestlers need to understand that without the announcers they won’t get promotion, and without promotion they won’t get known. I work with all types of wrestlers, but I respect those who are grateful when we do an interview of them. If the wrestler respect of our work and work as a team, he will go far.

I’ve always admired Bret “The Hitman” Hart, and if I was a wrestler my dream match will be with him. I’ve heard a lot of stories of wrestlers saying that wrestling with Bret was very important on their careers. Speaking with Billy Kidman he confirmed that.

10. As ringside announcer and interviewer, what are your goals for the future?”

Response: Keep doing what I’m doing and improving even further. I’m still learning, and I’m very grateful for people like Hugo Savinovich for their advises and a lot of time and effort they are making not only on improving my work but RXW as a company. If I can help RXW to be great, I’ll be there !

Juvi sent out a bulletin on myspace in regards to the incident between Konnan, Jack Evans and himself. Here it is:

THE INCIDENT AT AAA WITH KONNAN AND JACK EVANS
Mar 25, 2009 12:08 PM
Hola Amigos. I want to share with you my side of the story on what happened at AAA.
Here it goes-

This was my second show back with AAA, and the real "boss" of AAA, Konnan, was not happy about it. I tried to talk to him earlier in the show, and he ignored me. We have had problems for years. I have been negotiating with AAA for my comeback since October, but each time he was blocking me. Finally I made my return at the Rey De Reyes show, and everyone was cool with me backstage. Konnan was really late arriving to the event, 5 minutes before his match. Now at my second show, the vibe was different. I guess some of these guys got in trouble with the "boss" for talking to me.

I went out and had my match, which was really juicy, and when I returned to the lockerroom, I found my bag in a different area, and it was wet. I knew immediately Konnan was behind it. I opened the bag to find human feces inside. I immediately grabbed the bag and brought it to the owners of AAA. They were in shock. They know of my problems with Konnan, and knew he was behind it, but didnt do anything about it, because they are scared of him. Then i went up to Konnan and asked him what his problem was, and he sat there like a coward and denied everything. When we were in WCW he broke my ribs on purpose in a match. And remember when I got fired from WCW for that incident in Australia, well Konnan is the one who laced the pot with LCD and "forgot" to tell me. Even when i was in WWE he was trying to fuck with me. I am the one who got him the job in AAA. It took 2 years of convincing Antonio Pena to make that happen.

All of a sudden, I felt someone attack me from behind and start choking me. It was Jack Evans, who had been stiffing me in our match earlier in the night kicking me multiple times right in the face. At this point, Konnan got out of his seat and starting holding me down for Jack to hit me, and then started punching me too. None of the other wrestlers tried to break it up (because again, Konnan is the true "boss" of AAA and will screw with their career). Finally Sr Roldan, the owner of AAA came in and broke it up.

My nose has fractures, and I have lots of bruises. My eye is completely red but I am still Juicy. It took 2 guys to try and hurt me, but I still have my integrity and pride.

Konnan has alot of enemies in this business, and all his friends are fake. They only talk to him to keep their job. This is the truth. He has burned all his bridges in the USA, and once AAA finally realizes what an asshole he is and fires him, he will have nothing. I am really sad about this situation because at one time, we were really close friends, but now i realize he will never change. He is an egomaniac. He is a miserable human being. Ask anyone who isnt afraid of losing their job. AAA's top star Cibernetico even left the company recently because he couldnt stand dealing with Konnans politics/bullshit.

I want to thank my friends, family, and fans for supporting me.

Interview requests can be sent to dejuice2@gmail.com.
I have alot more to talk about!

Thanks

Juvy aka Da Juice

Here is more about Abismo Negro as well from thecubsfan:

03/25: Abismo Negro, Lucha Libre Expo, Mexico
25th March 2009, 02:11 pm
Weird convergence of events yesterday. On the same day where the lucha community gathered for Abismo Negro’s wake in Mexico City, the lucha community also gathered to for a previously scheduled press conference to announce the third annual Lucha Libre Expo.

SuperLuchas has the most detailed coverage of Abismo Negro’s wake. The body was late in arriving, so there sounds like there was a lot of standing around and talking about what happened. Family, seemingly everyone from AAA was there. Joaquin Roldan is shown leaving Abismo’s mask on the (closed) casket, Mini Abismo is shown where his mask (Black Abyss is mentioned to be there too.) Plenty of other wrestlers who knew him came by - Santo and Heavy Metal turn up in pictures, and Winner’s old partner (and guy who took his mask) Super Calo was there as well, talking about living together with his wife during the early days of AAA (and even before) until their paths went in seperate directions. Tabasco Hoy mentions many wrestlers snuck in without their mask on, to keep the fans hanging around outside from causing a scene.

It’s mentioned that Abismo Negro will be cremated.

On Monday, Arena Puebla held a moment of recognition for Abismo. I do not believe CMLL did that for Anotnio Pena.

Tabasco Hoy has quote from Abismo’s father and el Noruego, the local wrestler who first trained him. There are more quotes from Calo, Santo and Villano V about Abismo elsewhere.

The cause of Abismo’s death is still being discussed, though I don’t think most of the answers will ever escape private discussion. Hijo del Santo says he doesn’t know if Abismo Negro used steroids, but lots of wrestlers are to the point where it’s become a bad copy of the problems in US wrestling. The article also talks to a doctor, who explains that an anxiety act might also explain the strange behavior that led to his death. Meanwhile, AAA is steadfastly sticking to their original story of it being a heart attack and refusing to address the problems with that story (which has done nothing but convince everyone there’s a lot more going on here.)

3/26
Abismo Negro stories:
- In a short press conference after the Mexico City funereal, Joaquin Roldan said the name Abismo Negro would not be used. Not sure if that means they just won’t put someone else into the costume, or if Mini Abismo will change his name.
- Among other wrestlers talking about Abismo Negro, Damian 666 says Abismo was dealing with depression, and his wife with cancer.
- One last service for him Wednesday in Villahermosa. The articles both mention Abismo wrestled as Alex Dinamo for two years before switching to Samurai. His first trainer says Abismo started in 1984, which means he would’ve been 13 when he started wrestling.
- There’s a call for the Box Y Lucha comission (both locally and nationally) sancation AAA and their local Cancun promoter for billing someone as Abismo Negro when the real one had already passed.
- El Universal talks to boxers and MMA-ists about how often people use steroids in combat sports.
- The Gladiatores has a remembrance.

about Abismo Negro’s death
28th March 2009, 09:00 pm
Gawker asks “Did Steroid Panic Kill Ex-WWE Wrestler?” Well, yes, probably, but why are we talking about Chris Benoit?

The article actually turned out to be about Abismo Negro (Abismo working in WWE - and apparently as Maniaco when Maniaco was Abismo Negro; AAA is confusing, ask Dr. Lucha) and not only pushes the steroids idea and the drug violence. It’s tough rule out anything with what’s being made public here, but both seem unlikely at this point

I only bring this up because Dave wrote a detailed story - explanation? educated guess? it’s just stated as is - about Abismo’s death. Might have this out there if everything else is going to be guessed:

Abismo Negro’s last match was not Rey de Reyes on 3/14 in Guadalajara, but a house show on 3/16 in Mazatlan. He was described as despondent at the show, complaining, even though he had just returned, that he wasn’t being used well enough or paid well enough. Others felt he was lucky that he was even taken back after all the no- shows and drug problems. He wasn’t booked on another show for a few days, so he stayed in Mazatlan and went on a cocaine binge, and ended up no-showing the cards on 3/20 and 3/21, and then, apparently having run out of cash, he took a bus back home to Mexico City on 3/22 instead of going to Monterrey, where he was booked. The current belief is he suffered a heart attack, collapsed, and fell into the river where he drowned.

It is not news that Abismo Negro had a cocaine addiction, and it’s not a surprise it led to his death (just that end result was heart attack/drowning instead of the more conventional overdose.) AAA was not surprised he died a drug related death, just that he died one that particular day.

AAA’s spoken their condolences to Abismo’s family and honoring his professional career by not using his name again. What they haven’t said yet is how they’ll work to prevent this happening again. If Abismo Negro was the only one abusing drugs as he did, AAA wouldn’t have allowed it to continue. That he got away with it, and kept coming back despite continual problems with it, indicates it’s common enough in AAA where everyone’s allowed to do whatever as long as they make the next show.

I don’t run a wrestling company, so maybe I’m not seeing a lot of what they see. Thankfully, I don’t also have to console grieving widows either. AAA said anything about the underlining problems here, treating this death like a random occurrence. I hope they’re proved to be correct, but every underlining indicator suggests Abismo Negro’s passing will not be remembered as a unique moment, but as the first in a depressing trend.

Xavier has his AAA report up at the wrestling observer for this past weekend:
AAA TV report
AAA on Galavision
By: Xavier Hernandez
Show aired on: 03/28/2009

The show starts off with a summary of last week's show. Konnan made a match, where the hairs of Joaquin Roldan and Arturo Rivera will be at stake, Konnan will fight for Rivera, and Roldan must find himself a wrestler to represent him. The Hermandad is hesitating about working for Konnan, due to the money Konnan owes them. There was also an angle with the late Abismo Negro, that I won't recall. Manson made his first appearance in a match, and defeated hte Legion. Fot this show, Manson teams up with Mesias and a surpirse wrestler, to take on Zorro and la Secta.

*In-Ring Segment: The Hart Foundation 2.0 is in the ring, and Jack says hi to the mexican crowd, in decent spanish. Evans says he has a message for the crowd: the Americans think the Mexican crowd are iditos, and dirty. This brings out Elegido, who attacks the Americans, but he is ambushed by the rest of the Legion. Konnan gets on the mic (once again), to insult the crowd. Konnan tells Elegido he doesn't know what he is getting into, and he also demands to see Joaquin Roldan. This brings out Roldan himself to confront Konnan inside the ring. Konnan wants to know the name of the wrestler who will fight for him at RdR, but Roldan says he hasn't accepted the challenge yet. Konnan thinks nobody will want to wrestle for Roldan, and Roldan says he accepts the challenge for RdR. Roldan says he will reveal the wrestler that will represent him tonight, and he is also in the main event. Konnan says it doesn't matter who Roldan brings, because they will destroy him in the middle of the ring.

1) El Apache, Fabi Apache & Mari Apache vs. El Oriental, Billy Boy & Tiffany

-Only Fall: I missed part of the match, so I apologize. As usual, the rudos use the triple team attack, andf Billy uses a chari on Apache. Then the comeback begins, and Apache goes after Billy. Apache climbs the ropes, but Billy gets him and hits a Superplex for the three count.

Winners: El Oriental, Billy Boy & Tiffany

-Aftermath: The rudos attack Apache, but Aerostar makes the save. Billy tries to attack him with a chair, but Aero kicks him out of the ring, and connects with the Drowsy Dive. The story here is that Aero wants to help his mentor Apache.

*Noti AAA:
-AAA just launched a reality show in Mexico, to look for a new wrestler (sounds like Tough Enough to me). 16 unknown wrestlers get to team up with an experienced wrestler.
-Promotion for the AAA webiste, and to vote for the poll for Rey de Reyes

*Promo Video: This one hypes the feud between Silver King and La Parka, which is a pretty good feud. Parka says he will keep standing up, no matter how many times he falls. But Silver will keep knocking him down until he can't stand up anymore.

2) Poder del Norte (Tigre Cota, Tito Santana & Rio Bravo) vs. RFA (Aerostar, Laredo Kid & SuperFly)

-Only Fall: Another strong performance by everyone involved in this match. Aero takes all the members of Poder out of the ring, and even hits an insane Asai Moonsault on Bravo. Laredo also kicks Bravo out of the ring, and connects with a Slingshot Hurricanrana. Laredo accidentally dropkicks Fly, and the rudos take advantage of this for the triple team assault. The heels use a variety of good double team manuevers to punish the tecnicos. The rudos lock La Carreta on Laredo, but Aero takes down Santana with a Springboard Hurricanrana. The comeback begins, and the tecnicos explode with flying moves. Fly hits Santana with his Handspring Moonsault, and Laredo strikes Cota with a Tornillo. Santana is next with a Corkscrew Crossbody. In the ring, Bravo misses the Lionsault, and Aero locks a Hurricanrana, only for a two count. Billy attacks Aero, and this causes the DQ.

Winners (DQ): Aerostar, Laredo Kid & SuperFly

*Pretaped Segment: In one of Abismo's last promos, he and Elegido bow they will make the Americans bite the dust, and after that, Abyss is the next target. On the other hand, Teddy says he is worried about the position of Zorro, because Teddy doesn't want any probelms. Evans doesn't believe Zorro will betray them, but Teddy still doesn't trust them. Evans just wants to forget this deal, and they should focus on Elegido.

3) Hart Foundation 2.0 (Jack Evans & Teddy Hart w/Nikki) vs. El Elegido & Abismo Negro (R.I.P.)

-Only Fall: The Americans kick off with double team moves, but Elegido suddenly makes the comeback. The Americans go back to the striking moves, and Abismo still hasn't tagged in. Elegido makes a second comeback with a double clothesline. Nikki tries to interfere, but she accidentally gives the referee a chair shot. Abismo and Elegido work as a unit to attack the Americans. Teddy makes a short comeback, with a Hartbreaker on Abismo, and Evans connects Abismo with the Cartwheel Dive. Elegido goes for the Hercules Cutter, but Nikki distracts him him with her chest. Teddy uses the assistance of the referee, to pin Elegido.

Winners: Jack Evans & Teddy Hart

*Pretaped Segment: Konnan talks to La Hermandad, and says he doesn't like the treatment that the Hermandad has given him. Nicho says they will do that, as long as they don't get paid. The Hermandad says they don't do 187 without money. Konnan tells the Hermandad to finish off the job he gave them, and they can do business afterwards. Silver says he's enjoying punishing Parka, and Konnan says the plan was to weaken Parka mentally. Silver also says the money Konnan is holding can be duplicated on Silver's hands, and Konnan wants to know how.

4) La Parka, Alex Koslov & Crazy Boy vs. Silver King, Joe Lider & Nicho El Millonario

-Only Fall: The heels start with the triple team attack right away. Silver uses a chair to target the forehead of Parka, and there's already blood. Parka finally makes the comeback with heavy blows on Silver, and now Parka targets the forehead of Silver. Koslov cleans house, and hits a clean Hilo on every rudo at ringside. Parka drags Silver to the crowd, and they battle with chairs. Crazy climbs the scaffold, and Silver follows him, to tape his arms to the metal structure. In the ring, Koslov hits a Frog Splash on Nicho, but he kicks out at two. Nicho and Joe get Koslov into a reinforced Kryptonite Krunch, for the three count.

Winners: Silver King, Joe Lider & Nicho El Millonario

*Pretaped Segment: Mesias and Manson cut a promo. Mesias apologizes to Manson for the things he did to him, but Manson tells him to forget everything. Both men now want to focus on Zorro and La Secta. Mesias says their partner is a very violent and cruel person who adores gore. Mesias will make sure their partner bring his darkest side, only for Konnan. On the other hand, Zorro is still thinking about X-Pac, and says he's done with him, after he humilliated him inside the ring. The new goal of Zorro is Mesias, and Manson as well.

*In-Ring Segment: Konnan announces that he's locked a title match between Mesias and Chessman at RdR. Mesias tells Konnan to put attention to him, instead of looking for Roldan. Mesias tells Konnan he will destroy the coward called Chessman, when they enter his world. Mesias also reveals the name of their partner: Vampiro. Roldan enters the ring with Vampiro, who is the person that will represent Roldan ar RdR. Konnan tells Vampiro he cannot touch anyone in the Legion, or else he is fired as a comissioner. Konnan slaps Vampiro several times, and asks him to stay at ringside to observe the destruction of Mesias and Manson.

5) Mesias & Charlie Manson vs. Zorro, Dark Ozz & Dark Cuervo

-Only Fall: Vampiro is forced to stay at ringside, while Mesias and Manson wrestle a handicap match. Manson dominates the Secta, but Zorro attack him. Mesias joins Manson in the beating of Zorro, and even Konnan gets a share of the tecnico offense. The heels snap. and they begin the triple team attack, and Konnan joins them as well. Mesias and Manson manage to make a comeback, and both apply double team moves on the rudos. Konnan is still provoking Vampiro at rinside. The heels start another round of team assault on the tecnicos. Mesias receives several kendo stick shots, courtesy of Zorro. Vampiro finally enters the ring, and chokeslams both Secta guys. Konnan enters the ring, and he argues with Vampiro. The referee awards the DQ, due to Vampiro interfering.

Winners (DQ): Zorro, Dark Ozz & Dark Cuervo

-Aftermath: Vampiro also chokeslams the referee, and fights with Konnan, before secuirty members split them apart. Konnan says Vampiro is fired as a comissioner of the company. Vampiro says he doesn't want to be comissioner anymore, because he is 1000% AAA, and assaults him again. Mesias and Manson celebrate with Vampiro inside the ring.

No offense but it looks like Konnan is trying to make AAA into WWE Mexico or something. Why bother starting a reality show trying to find new wrestlers? Just look to the independants people. Don't have much to say about this as I have yet to watch it. But the only interesting things going on it seems are Charly's return and the feud with Poder del Norte against Real Fuerza Aerea. I will probably comment more when I have actually watched it.

Oh and by the way if the poll could be removed please? Juvi didn't even last a week so I think we can take that off now lol......Sorry for the waste of time!

AAA TV report
AAA on Galasion
By: Xavier Hernandez
Show aired on: 04/04/2009

The show starts off with the summary of last week's show. Vampiro will represent Roldan in the big "hair vs. hair" match. The eternal feud between Billy and the Apaches had another epic chapter. The Hermandad, with the help of Silver King, defeated the AAArmy. Vampiro finally snaps, and resigns to his charge, only to fight Konnan back. For this show, Mesias vs. Chessman (again?), plus another excting AAA vs. Legion tag match, and more. What else can you ask for? (Yes, I'm being sarcastic again).

*Pretaped Segment: Vampiro is backstage waiting for someone, but he is suddenly assaulted by the Legion. This is angle is pretty much to make Konnan look like a coward, because he is ambushing his opponent, to make sure he doesn't make it to RdR. Bad segment.

*Pretaped Segment: Billy talks about the Apaches, and says he's been through a lot during the last three years with the Apaches. But it doesn't matter how many times they attack him, Billy won't go down, becuase he finally found his darkest side, and he won't be happy until he sees the entire Apache family in a coffin (yes, he did say that). He also makes fun of Fabi, and he truly regrets marrying her. Now, the Apaches want to use Billy as their ticket to wrestle at RdR, and Billy will take the challenger, just to humilliate them in front of everyone. Billy hates the Apaches. (Very disturbing segment, I wonder who wrote that script).

1) El Apache, Fabi Apache & Gato Eveready vs. Billy Boy, Cinthia Moreno & El Orienta
l
-Only Fall: Women open the match with fast paced moves, followed by the speed of Gato and Oriental. Apache snaps and begins to slap everyone, including Gato, and this leads to the triple team ambush by the rudos. Billy brings out two chairs to punish Apache, but Fabi makes the save with a hard kick. Apache makes a huge comeback with a Crossbody on Billy, and he now uses the chairs on his son-in-law. Billy takes the chairs back, and targets Apache's leg. Apache is hurt, and medical staff help him out. Billy continues to attack Apache, even when he is taken on a stretcher. Fabi finally makes the comeback with fast paced moves, but Billy stops her. Billy connects with a suicide dive on Gato. Oriental attempts a Vader Bomb, but Fabi lifts her knees. Oriental accidentally kicks his sister, and Fabi rolls him up for the three count.

Winners: El Apache, Fabi Apache & Gato Eveready

-Aftermath: Backstage, Apache is hurt really bad, and the doctir says the injury looks quite bad, so they need to examine his leg. Fabi says this rilvary needs to be ended now (I agree with that)

*Noti AAA:
-AAA ran another show in a popular bar in Mexico (again, an unsual place for wrestling events). The performers were mainly minis, exotics, and mid-carders.
-That's it! A whole segment, only for one pice of news, and nobody cares about it.

*Pretaped Segment: Konnan talks to the Hermandad, and he is still pissed off, because the tag champs are slowly rebelling against him. The Hermandad say they will do whatever Konnan asks, as long as they get paid. Konnan holds a suitcase, and says he will give them the item, if they are succesful in their mission.

2) La Hermandad (Joe Lider & Nicho El Millonario) vs. Mexican Powers (Crazy Boy & Ultimo Gladiador)

-Only Fall: When these two teams mix up, there is a carnival of botched moves all over the place. Crazy hits an Asai Moonsault on both heels. Nicho hits a Frankensteiner on Gladiador, to the outside. They acutally did a sick combo of a Superplex, a Back Suplex, and a Powerbomb, which looked botched but pretty awesome. Nicho gets a huge Corskcrew Crossbody from Gladiador. Crazy gets tons of falls, but the referee counts slowly. Lider lowblows Crazy, but the referee ignores it, and makes the three count.

Winners: Joe Lider & Nicho El Millonario

*Pretaped Segment: D-Mex is backstage, and Rocky is missing, because he is touring in Japan. Koslov is very excited about their match with the Harts, but warns them to keep Nikki away. Waltman is laso excited to wrestle such talented athletes, but yet dumb people, who just obey Konnan's orders, and belive the crap of Zorro.

3) D-Generation MEX (X-Pac & Alex Koslov) vs. Hart Foundation 2.0 (Jack Evans & Teddy Hart w/Nikki)

-Only Fall: Koslov and Teddy kick off with fantastic technical moves. Evans and Waltman tag in, but Teddy gets himself tagged in for the double team assault. Koslov makes the comeback with a Springboard Elbow, and mocks Evans. Koslov delivers another Springboard Elbow on Evans, but this time on the outside. Waltman lands outside, and Teddy gets them with a Springboard Moonsault, followed by the Cartwheel Dive by Evans. The Harts get back in control of the match, with tons of aerial moves. Koslov even receives the American Tower Assault, which always looks sick. Evans mistakenly hits Diving Knees on Teddy, and the comeback begins, after a huge Superkick by Koslov, and a series of karate kicks from Waltman. Both Harts are taken out with a Hilo from Waltman, but Nikki gets involved again. Waltman connect with a top rope X-Factor on Teddy, but Nikki attempts to use her chest as a distraction again. Evans accidentally hits Nikki, and Waltman rolls him for a two count. Nikki gets an Enzuigiri from Koslov, and a Bronco Buster from Waltman. Teddy takaes advantage of the distraction to pin Koslov, after a sick Backcraker. Awesome match, but the Nikki factor dragged it down again.

Winners: Jack Evans & Teddy Hart

*Pretaped Segment: Electro and Silver talk backstage. Electro is glad to have Silver on the Legion, and tells him not to worry about his money, but Silver says he will help Konnan duplicate his money. Silver says he wants to put Manson away, because there are only two true wrestlers from the Comarca region (himself and his brother). But he despises Parka even more, specially for his AAArmy crap. On the other hand, Manson and Parka talk too. Manson is happy to join Parka's cause, but Parka wants to be alone again. Zorro also gets talk time, and he is focused on Manson, and will make sure the Prophet of Lucha has Manson on his knees.

4) Silver King, Electroshock & Zorro vs. La Parka, Charlie Manson & Abismo Negro (R.I.P.)

-Only Fall: Match starts fait, but it turns into the classic TV main event, where the Legion ambushes the tecnicos for several minutes. Comeback begins, with aerial attacks from Manson. Parka brawls with Silver, and both brothers deal with each other as well. Inside the ring, Zorro makes Abismo submit ot the Zorro Stretch (manuever was named by me).

Winners: Silver King, Electroshock & Zorro

-Aftermath: D-MEX come to the rescue, and Waltman wants Zorro.

*In-Ring Segment: Mesias talks to Chessman, and calls him a crybaby, who only complains. Mesias knows he will defend his title against Chessman at RdR, but he is sure he's walking out as champion. This match will be a steel cage, and Mesias says that's his specialty. Chessman laughs, amd this brings Konnan out. Since Konnan is the General Manager of the company, he can do whatever he wants. And what he wants is to change the main event to a handicap match, which means.......

5) Mesias vs. Chessman & Konnan

-Only Fall: Mesias is rapidly ambushed by both Chessman and Konnan. Mesias makes the comeback with a clothesline to Konnan, but Chessman gives him a DDT. Chessman pins Mesias, after a Chair Legdrop.

Winners: Chessman & Konnan

-Aftermath: Konnan summons Roldan to the ring, and Rivera enters as well. Roldan punches Rivera, but Konnan gives him a huge chairshot, and punches him harder. Mesias tries to save Roldan,. but the Harts enter the ring. The Hermandad enters as well, but they're all taken out by Mesias. Mesias is about to take out Rivera, but Chessman spears him. Mesias is laid out cold by the Legion. Marisela throws a beverage at Konnan, to show her wrath towards him. The Legion leave the arena in a rain of trash.

I don't have access to Galavision so I am at the mercy of YouTube videos of Triple A events. I am a huge El Mesias/Ricky Banderas fan but his matches lately have not been as good as when he was rudo.

Sorry to everyone that I haven't been on in so long and haven't posted anything. I have been kind of busy as of late. But I will be sure to update everything now. As far as the lucha news and such I think I will just post news and not any results up to this point. Xavier has his Rey de Reyes report up too so I will post that as well. Thanks to Mr.C.M. for posting the last AAA report. So here we go:

NEWS

The Cancun Box y Lucha Libre Commission have finished their investigation of Carlos Renan Martinez who promoted the AAA spot show in Cancun on March 21st of fraud after he put someone else in the Abismo Negro gimmick hours before his death. CBLLC President Eliseo Gonzalez said that Martinez promoted in bad faith committing fraud and he is going to be suspended from promoting in Cancun for 2 years. Gonzalez said that Abismo Negro was there as there are photographs & videos to prove that he walked out of the building so Gonzalez could’ve fixed the problem but didn’t. Gonzalez also said that AAA has 30 days to meet with his commission to prove that they had nothing to do with this or they would be banned as well. Gonzalez went on to say that no one would promote lucha in Cancun until this problem is resolved. AAA Vice-President Dorian Roldan said that they would help out the CBLLC in any way they want because they had nothing to do with the controversy.

Ouch that is a pretty harsh sentence but I suppose when someone commits fraud you do what you gotta do to prevent it.

Maximo told Reforma yesterday that he is now working an independent contractor because he feels like EMLL is stagnant because all they are about right now is a certain wrestler (Mistico) and not any of the other younger wrestlers. Maximo said that he hopes that more wrestlers in his position would become independent as motivation for EMLL to change up their business practices a little and let other wrestlers get a chance to shine. Maximo said that being an independent would give him a chance to work main events which he rarely did with EMLL and will give his name value a boost along with giving him a chance to work against other relevant independent workers instead of the same people week after week.

This seems to happen no matter what promotion your in. I hope this works out for him in the long run.....

This is a long one here folks:

NEWS

Black Warrior told Box y Lucha this week that the rumors of him leaving EMLL for AAA, Perros del Mal, or independents are unfounded because the only business that matters to him in Mexico is EMLL with Arena Mexico being the best arena in the country. El Black said that he wasn’t suspended by EMLL which was another rumor going around because he is still working Guadalajara & Puebla shows for the promotion and just because he didn’t work the Dos Leyendas show doesn’t mean that he was punished. El Black said he is still surprised that people care about whether he is leaving EMLL or is punished because it’s been going on for years it seems and he has no plans to leave the promotion. El Black said that Poder Mexica has become a formidable unit winning the Mexican National Trios Titles in their short time and with associate Misterioso II they will win the CMLL Trios Titles tomorrow night from Hector Garza/Hijo del Fantasma/La Mascara at Arena Mexico so why would he want to give that up. El Black closed by thanking all the reporters that think he is important because he really is, due to always being in the eye of the hurricane making him a rebel in the lucha libre community.

Brazo de Plata aka Super Porky renounced AAA to Box y Lucha this week saying that the powers that be there didn’t care for him over the last 6 months as they only booked him for 2 shows a week which was hurting him financially because he couldn’t support his family like he has over the years. Porky said that he is practically bankrupt and when he talked to the promoters about getting more bookings, they told him that no one wanted him because he was too fat and didn’t have the look they wanted in their wrestlers they wanted to present. Porky said that he became highly disappointed with AAA as they have totally gone against what the late Antonio Pena promised him when he joined the promotion because they don’t care about their wrestlers anymore and family means nothing. Porky said that the new blood in charge of the promotion only cares about younger wrestlers and there were people there that didn’t even know his history in the business which he felt really disrespected by. Porky said that he would miss his friends in AAA such as Elegido & Gronda II along with the late Abismo Negro who was a good friend but it’s time to move on and he is taking independent dates whenever he can along with working with Intocable on some shows that he helps promote. Porky said that is far from finished in wrestling and with the love that he feels from the fans and even with the problems he has had with AAA, he would always be grateful for the opportunities they gave him.

WWE...I mean AAA is going in a direction that I feel is bad for lucha libre. Heck if it weren't for Mesias or Chessman I wouldn't watch it....

EMLL announced today that they won’t be running a special Dia de los Ninos show on 4/30 at Arena Mexico but would do it the next day in the building which would be the first time they’ve ever done that since they started the tradition. They also announced that they would screen Atlantis’ latest movie before the show and that kids 10 years old and younger will be able to see the movie along with the main show for 1 peso.

Intocable told Box y Lucha recently that Konnan is killing AAA because he is still putting himself as the main star of the promotion which is shame because he can’t wrestle anymore due to his injuries. Konnan of course naturally responded to those claims in the latest issue of Box y Lucha saying that if Intocable was such a great wrestler then he would be in his position and he would be working independent dates. Konnan said that if Intocable thinks he is so banged up then why at the age of 45 he can maintain the body of a 23-year-old while working with an artificial hip and a transplanted kidney. Konnan said that he has never known of a wrestler that has done that and that he works injured every night but no one else could or has done it. (uhhhh no wrestler ever works injured? What planet is he on? Wrestlers work injured all the time thats why they get hooked on the pills and stuff duh....)Konnan said that he isn’t a wrestler anymore but a sports entertainer so when he works in the ring it’s to put on a show for the fans not working a serious match. Konnan then went back to Intocable saying that he thought he was a friend but it’s another example of what the Americans say about Mexicans being like crabs in a bucket because whenever they see one try to leave, they pull it back in.
No offense to Konnan or anything but if your going to be in the ring and not do anything stay the hell out of the ring. Nobody want sto see you if you aint going to do nothing. The reason he doesn't do anything is because he basically sucks in the ring. He may have a body of a 23 year old but he moves like a seventy year old. Thats why he doesn't wrestle anymore because he can't plain and simple. I though he was pretty cool until he started messing up AAA and he is also a hypocrite.

Konnan continued by saying that when he formed AAA with Antonio Pena & Octagon and built the business, Intocable was a sex slave in the Zona Rosa and that when a real man criticizes him then he would actually listen but not to a bi-sexual who is nothing but a Latin Lover ripoff. Konnan went on to say that Intocable has done virtually nothing in the business and is just frustrated that he was run out of AAA because he was late to TV tapings and no-showed spot shows before going to AAA offices and trying to attack Joaquin Roldan because he didn’t cow-tow to his needs. Konnan said that Intocable has no room to criticize him because he is irresponsible and definitely has no credentials like he has working all over the world so he is just another bitter wrestler that always wants everything but doesn’t want to give anything to get it. Konnan said that he had to swallow a lot of pride when he returned to AAA after being banished for 7 years and he has worked his way back to the top of the business which he considers a big achievement. Konnan gave Intocable some advice though saying that instead of worrying about successful people, he should work on his own act so he can become a success himself and compared him to Cibernetico saying that they used to be noble and humble men but once they sniffed some fame they became dizzy and that they think they deserve everything without earning it.

What is it with grown men arguing like children? I think Intocable was just saying what a lot of people feel. AAA isn't a lucha libre company anymore. Its WWE lite. Sports entertainer? So what is Konnan going to have all the luchadores refer to themselves as "entertainers" instead of wrestlers now too?I have said this before Lucha Libre was supposed to be apart from American wrestling but in AAA its not. It is exactly like WWE and thats to bad. Its getting to the point now where I would rather watch CMLL all the time because at least they still stick to the more traditional Lucha Libre formula instead of trying to be like a soap opera.

Juventud Guerrera was scheduled to meet with AAA officials on Tuesday regarding them paying for his medical expenses in the treatment of his fractured nose suffered at the hands of Jack Evans & Konnan but couldn’t make it due to emergency surgery he had to undergo so he could breathe correctly. Juvy was having to breathe through his throat due to the fractured nose and was having problems so after a 2-hour long successful surgery, he is able to breathe fine now and is resting comfortably. Juvy’s doctor told the media that he would not be able to do any physical contact for a month and that after the time is up then they would evaluate him for a return to wrestling. Fuerza Guerrera said that his son will call a press conference when he is able to speak better and would shed light on the entire situation with AAA and would announce his resignation from the promotion due to them backing Konnan throughout this situation.

Ovaciones is reporting that Konnan has been suspended by the Distrito Federal Box y Lucha Commission due to the Juvy controversy which means that he would be suspended from working anywhere in the country. There isn’t any indication if the commission has talked to Konnan or AAA but they have enough proof of Juvy’s injuries and other accounts of the situation that they made the decision. The funny thing about this is that Jack Evans hasn’t been punished so this is really an indictment of Konnan and the past issues he has had with some key people over the years has probably come to haunt him.

Thats what happens when you step on the wrong toes. It comes back to bite you in the ass eventually

NEWS

Ovaciones confirmed yesterday that Alebrije & Cuije have to decided to leave AAA raising that departure list a little more and which may grow even longer as the rumors are that El Brazo & Chris Stone have left as well.

Thats to bad I rather liked Alebrije & Cuije but it seems Konnan was never fond of they're gimmick which may be why they left.

NEWS

AAA posted on their website today that there are rumors going around that the WWE was looking at bringing in Ozz and he commented that he wasn’t aware of such rumors until his wife saw them online and there is really nothing to them. Ozz said though that if AAA wants him to go to the WWE as a talent exchange then he doesn’t have much control of that matter. I don’t know what to think of this.

Really? Seems nobody else knew about this either. Wonder where thye got they're info from?

Box y Lucha reported in their latest issue that Picudo & Espectro de Ultratumba have also left AAA in recent days raising that departure list a little higher.

Juventud Guerrera has scheduled a press conference for tomorrow where he will go into detail what has happened between him & AAA and I’m sure he will be addressing the little skit that they did about his situation last Friday in Neza. Speaking of this, AAA’s website posted an article that compared this skit to the skit that the WWE did over 11 years ago mocking the Survivor Series in Montreal situation with Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, & Vince McMahon basically explaining what the joke was about. I never thought that Montreal would make it’s way to Mexico.

Sicodelico Jr. announced on his MySpace that he has signed his WWE developmental contract even with a picture of said contract and will be starting in Florida Championship Wrestling soon.
Good luck to him and I hope he does really good in WWE.

Super Astro stated in an interview that AAA & WWE are changing the sport of wrestling in Mexico and not for the better because it is taking away from the cleanness of the sport. Astro said that he thinks that fans want to see true lucha libre and the shows that he works the people are fascinated by their style of lucha libre. Astro said that screwjob finishes, steel cages, and matches involving weapons just make a mess of the sport and he’s getting tired of watching it progress further in that direction and before long the fans will get bored of that style. Astro said that the fans are probably into a grittier style of wrestling right now but like he said they will come back to the traditional fold. Astro thinks that the minds behind that style thinks they are going to change the sport forever but the true form of lucha libre will reign in the end. Astro was asked about current WWE star and former pupil of his Rey Misterio Jr. and he said that Rey is trying to keep the traditional style alive in the WWE and it’s an honor to see how much he has grown over the years as a superstar.

Amen to that brother! LOL That is how many people feel and I am glad more and more people are letting it be known. I have to laugh everytime they have a "hardcore" match in AAA now because they use weapons in all the matches in anyway so trying to have a specific match for that is....well......quite stupid.

Dr. Wagner Jr. gave an interview to AAA’s website and said that he is very pleased to be a part of AAA because it gives him a great opportunity to do what he wants to do in the ring with a more creative environment to work in. Wagner said that the fans can now see what he is all about without being constrained by the powers that be. Wagner was asked about being absent from TV over the past few months but he said that his name has constantly been in the press and on the internet so the fans kept up with him as much as they wanted to. Wagner said that he would like to have a shot at Mesias’ AAA Mega Heavyweight Title because he wants to face the true champions. Wagner was then asked about Silver King and said that he is taking another road which is his right to do but he wants nothing to do with La Legion because he loves his Mexican heritage.

Glad to see him on tv again but lets see how long his run in AAA will last before he butts heads with someone there too....

El Fantasma spoke on behalf of the Distrito Federal Box y Lucha Commission regarding the whole Silver King remasking situation and said that SK lost his mask to Hijo del Santo and can’t wear it again or put on any new mask after he lost the Black Tiger mask in 2006 for another 5 years. Fantasma said that SK told him that he wouldn’t wear the mask as he wrestled just to the ring but he is wrestling with it anyway and left the building before being asked about it by the commission.

When I first saw him I was thinking "What the hell is he doing with a mask on?" Because if anyone watched WCW in the nineties should know what Silver King looked like because he wrestled there as Silver King without a mask. So him putting one on now is.....well.....quite stupid. Getting a sense of deja vu here lol

AAA responded to the Juventud Guerrera controversy in their own way last night as they parodied the situation with Billy Boy playing Juventud Guerrera, Jack Evans wearing a blond wig as Lizzy Valentine, and Konnan guest starring as himself. This should be interesting TV to watch when it airs here next month.

Well nothing like some childish antics to try and get people to watch your program. Konnan may have the body of a 23 year and moves like a 70 year old but he sure doesn't have the maturity level of a 70 year old. Its more like a 10 year old yeesh.....I was wondering who the drag queen was, I honestly didn't know it was Evans whoops on that one.

NEWS

Dos Caras Jr. told Box y Lucha that the fans are booing him unjustly because Hector Garza is the real screwup and he should be booed because he doesn’t know what to do in the ring and as the captain of the team, he had to put him in his place. Dos said that Hector kicked him in the rib by mistake and knocked the breath out of him but he gave him the benefit of the doubt until these mistakes happened more and more and he couldn’t take it anymore. Dos said that the fans don’t understand what he was going through and that he was left alone as La Mascara took Garza’s side along with the fans so he is on his own right now. Dos said that he isn’t a rudo and that if the fans want to start back cheering for him then he would accept it but he isn’t going to beg them to cheer him because he was tired of his partners screwing up. Dos said that he didn’t mean to fight with La Mascara but he didn’t know if Mascara meant any ill will or not because he is a regular partner of Garza and probably would take his side anyway. Dos said that anyone in the locker room that agrees with Garza is directly an enemy now. Dos said that La Jauria del Terror invited him to join their faction but he said that he is infinitely better than team and doesn’t need any faction to back him up. Dos said that he is the most complete fighter in EMLL and that if he has to team with rudos it is because the fans aren’t giving him any respect.

Rodney Dangerfield anyone?

Espectro de Ultratumba told Box y Lucha that he was forced to leave AAA because they never booked him on shows and he must find a way to support his family. Espectro said that AAA put him in the gimmick picking him out of 20 guys for a debut last December in Chilpancingo and since then refused to use him, which made him angry because he thought this would’ve been a breakout opportunity but they put the freeze on him. Espectro said that he did everything they asked of him but they wouldn’t give him work and after 10 years of wrestling he felt he had to leave instead of wasting his time waiting for the phone to ring. Espectro said that all AAA cares about these days is the guys they book for TV and that whoever doesn’t fit in those plans are pretty much out in the cold so he is now an independent.

Picudo told Box y Lucha that AAA was his life and he was there as the company was built piece by piece but sadly he has decided to leave the company and will be working for Perros del Mal due to AAA deciding not to use him anymore. Picudo said that the lack of bookings has led to him stretching to support his family so now being an independent contractor he can work as much as he can to keep his family fed. Picudo said that Perros del Mal is giving him a chance to do what he wants and he is forming a newer version of Los Vatos Locos with some younger talent and that even though Perro Aguayo Jr. is his boss, he still hasn’t forgot him taking his mask and later his hair so there is some debts to be paid. Picudo said that since the youth has taken over AAA they have cared less for the older wrestlers even family members of Antonio Pena even the ones that train their young wrestlers and that even though he has left AAA, he will still be training young wrestlers and will help them get work with the independents.

Thats to bad but that seems to be trend nowadays. I hope being and independant works out for both of these gentlemen and I hop they have plenty of success in the future.

*RdR Comments: Superfly says this is his year, and he will make sure he destroys Electro once and for all, but he also wants to beat his master Octagon. Octagon wishes everyone good luck, but he really wants to see Fly to make the big jump to become a real star.

3) RdR Tournament - Block 3

-Only Fall: Octagon and Nicho start with fast paced maneuvers. Octagon locks La Corbata on Nicho, and Nicho submits early. Electro rolls Octagon, and pins him with the help of the referee's lightspeed count. Fly gets Electro into a Victory Roll, but the referee does a slow two count. Fly manages to connect with the Cartwheel Moonsault on Electro. Hurricanrana on Electro, but the referee refuses to count fast. Fly reverses the Full Nelson, into another Victory Roll, but the referee still does a slow count. Electro hits the Muscle Buster on Fly, and the referee counta fast this time, so Fly was robbed.

Winner: Electroshock

-Aftermath: Electro says he told everyone he would move on to the finals, and he will use his old school style to defeat everyone and become king.

*RdR Comments: Kenzo says in crystal clear spanish that he will win the tournament. Porky says he came very close from winning last year, but this time he doesn't care who he has to beat. Kenzo fould Parka, and covers him, but the referee refuses to count. Brainbuster by Kenzo on Parka, only for a two count. Kenzo argues with the referee, but parka takes advantage fo this to lock the Fijiwara Armbar on Kenzo, and he immediately submits.

Winner: La Parka

-Aftermath: Parka is happy, becuase he will get his hands on Silver in the finals. He doesn't care about Electro nor Latin, he just cares bout finishing Silver.

*Promo Video: Long video to recap the fued between Chessman and Mesias. Mesias will make Chessman pay for turining his back on his fans. However, Chessman calls him a liar, who just tunred on many people during his past. Chessman will prove that he is champion material, but Mesias says he will destroy the heartless Chessman for the mexican people.

*In-Ring Segment: Mesias tells Chessman the time has come for Chessman to pay for his sins. Chessman turned his back on the fans and the company, but Mesias will make sure this is Chessman's last match. Mesias says Chessman just messed with the wrong person, in the wrong moment. Mesias claims he is now Mexican, whether Chessman likes it or not. This leads to......

5) AAA World Heavyweight Championship (Steel Cage w/Barb Wire)
Mesias (c) vs. Chessman

-Only fall: Chessman immediately attacks Mesias after he was done talking. The top of the cage is covered in barb wire, so they basically want the match to end in pinfall or submission. Tons of fast paced moves on this match from both men. Mesias uses a chair to hit Chessman's head. Chessman mesk the comeback, after Mesias crashes head first with the cage. Chessman now uses the chair to punish Mesias' abs. huge dropkick by Mesias on Chessman with the chair. Chessman tries a Moonsault, but he got caught with the barb wire on top. Chessman now uses the fallen barb wire as a weapon to hurt Mesias. Chessman tries to escape the cage, but Mesias stops him. Mesias hits a Crossbody off the top rope, but Chessman kicks out. The Secta guys hand Chessman a bottle, and he spits red mist on Mesias. Chessman spears Mesias through a table, but Mesias still kicks out. The cage door opens, and Mesias escapes, but Chessman hits another spear, and both land in another table. The Legion arrives to attack Mesias. The tecnicos also arrives to help Mesias. Aerostar even climbs the top of the cage and jumps off to take everyone out. You can see Rivera bald, so they spoiled the hair match already. Back in the cage, Mesias kicks out one more time. Chessman smashes large lightbulb on Mesias' legs. Mesias also grabs another lightbulb to smash it on Chessman's back. Chessman uses the cage door to attack Mesias, so that means escaping the cage is not a way to win. Both men climb the top of the cage again, Chessman hans on to the small plate on top of the cgae, but Mesias also gets there. Mesias throws Chessman off the top, and he lands in the table inside the ring. Mesias covers Chessman, and it's over!

Winner and STILL champion: Mesias

-Aftermath: Mesias celebrates with his fans, but the Legion returns to attack him. BAD MEDICINE!!!!!!!!!!! DR. WAGNER JR. HAS ARRIVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FINAL COMMENTS: Overall, a good show. The RdR matches were quite decent and acceptable. For those of you wondering, this was Abismo Negro's last TV match, so I guess the company will acknowledge his death on the next show, or the one after. The cage match was entertaining, but a little too long. The RdR finals will take place next week in th second part.

The arrival of Dr. Wagner Jr. was quite a good surprise (when I found out about it, and it wasn't during this show). The question is "How long will he last here?", because Wagner has a big attitude. but it will give the company new feuds, and new matches. But it should be interesting to see if he has any interaction with his brother Silver King. Next week, I'll talk about the jump of Marco Corleone and the return of Juventud Guerrera.

My thoughts:

Well when I did the report awhile back I think I let it be known how I felt. When you don't even care about the tournament who do you have win? Electroshock thats who.

I am a big Mesias/Chessman fan but even I had a hard time watching they're match. It just seemd to drag on and I am so tired of weapons matches (which is basically all the matches) because that gets old quick. I didn't really watch any of the other matches because I already knew who was going to win and it made me mad as hell so I didn't even bother. Way to kill this tournament AAA way to kill this tournament....

Sorry to everyone for not posting in so long but my access to a computer has become very limited so I will try to post results and such as soon as possible. There hasn't been much going on as of late due to the H1N1 virus down in mexico. I know quite a few shows have been cancelled until next week or the week after until this issue can be fixed. So sorry again to everyone for not being able to post in awhile!

Due to my limited access to a computer I hope the Mods don't mind if I just post without leaving my thoughts as I am limited on time here. Here is the second Rey de Reyes recap. As usual credit goes to Xavier over at the wrestling observer.

AAA TV report featuring Rey de Reyes part 2
.AAA Rey de Reyes (Part 2/2)
By: Xavier Hernandez
Show aired on: 04/18/2009

ABISMO NEGRO TRIBUTE:

The show opens with graphics announcing the unfortunate death of one of AAA's greatest stars: Abismo negro. He was 37 years old, and had a 23 year career as a wrestler. Rest in Peace, Abismo Negro. This was followed by a video package highlighting the career of Abismo Negro, in his own owrds. Very good package.

Dr. Alfonso Morales talks about how Abismo Negro left his mark in thw world of Lucha Libre, and how he joins Antonio Pena and Love Machine, to make an extraordinary trio of legends that abandoned this world. Morales talks about how Abismo arrived to Mexico City, in hopes of entering the Lucha world, even though he suffered a lot in his stance in the capital. Antonio Pena saw potential in Abismo, and sent him to Guadalajara to train. Then, he was given the gimmick of "Winners". With that gimmick, Winners made a great tag team with Super Calo. But that union split up, and their friendship ended in a "mask vs. Mask" match at TripleMania, where Calo unmasked Winners. His identity was revealed as "Andres Alejandro Palomeque Gonzalez". During 1997, he returned under the gimmick of "Abismo Negro", the King of Martinete. Abismo was known for using his trademark Martinete (Tombstone Piledriver), and got himself into a heated feud with the Brenan Twins. Abismo revolutionized the company when he joined the "Vipers" stable.

Abismo's family talks about how great Abismo was, as a friend, husband, son, and a father. Arturo Rivera now talks about how Abismo became a solid star by winning the Rey de Reyes tournament, after defeating Cibernetico by disqualification. Abismo also appeared in several TV shows in Mexico, making him more popular. Rivera also looks back at Abismo's last TV match, where he was eliminated by Latin Lover during the RdR 2009 tournament. Abismo also made several appearances in Japan. The Roldans and several wrestlers also remember Abismo as a fantastic wrestler and performer. Several wrestlers from many companies attended his funeral, thus uniting the entire Lucha world to remember Abismo Negro. Rest in Peace.

Rivera says the show must go on, and we will continue with the second part of Rey de Reyes 2009. A six ma tag team match, plus the "hair vs. hair" match, and the finals of the RdR Tournament.

1) X-Pac, Alex Koslov & Charlie Manson vs. Zorro, Teddy Hart & Jack Evans

-Only Fall: Teddy strats off with hard strikes on Koslov. Huge heel kick by Koslov on Teddy, but Zorro assaults him. Evans also tags in, and battles Koslov with a series of beautiful kicks. Waltman tags in, and cleans house with the americans, just to get his hands on Zorro. The heels start their triple team assault on the tecnicos, and Evans hits the Carwheel Dive on Waltman. Zorro does his Triangle Kick on Koslov, and Teddy hits the SSP on Waltman. Waltman makes the comeback with a reverse kick and a double clothesline. Zorro uses his kendo stick, but Manson dodges it. Zorro locks the Zorro Stretch on Manson, and he immediately submits.

Winners: Zorro, Teddy Hart & Jack Evans

-Aftermath: Waltman chases Zorro all the way backstage. There is a blonde fan cheering for the tecnicos, and Teddy brings her to the ring by hairpulling. Juventud Guerrera arrives to rscue his own girlfirned, and chases the Harts away. Juvi grabs the mic, and says he's tired of Konnan's abuse on the company, so that's why he decided to return to the company, along with his girlfriend. Juvi has unfinished bussiness with Konnan.

*Noti AAA:
-Aeostar claims he is the best aerial wrestler, because he's been inspired by a special someone. Aero asks Apache to let him go out with one of her daughters, until Billy attacked him. Billy then introduced his real girlfriend Sexy Star.
-AAA created their new "Cruiserwieght Championship", and made a 13-Man Dome of Death match kick off the tournament. This match should air soon, and hey teased possible matches between members of the same faction.

*Back to Last Week's Show: The Legion arrives to attack Mesias again. BAD MEDICINE!!!!!!!! DR. WAGNER JR. HAS ARRIVED!!!!!! He immediately cleans house with the entire legion, and Konnan backs away from the UWA Champion. Wagner gets in the mic, and calls out the Wagnermaniacs. He also came to congratulate Mesias for his win, but he also reminds him that Wagner is also a champion. Wagner challenges Mesias to a match to determine the real champion. Wagner tells Mesias "IN MY HOUSE, WITH MY PEOPLE, YOU MUST RESPECT ME!!!!!" This leads to a heavy Wagner chant from the crowd. Mesias welcomes Wagner to his world, which a labirynth of agony, pain and sadness. Mesias tells Wagner he's messing with the wring person, in the wrong moment, WHETHER HE LIKES IT OR NOT!!! Konnan invites Wagner to join the Legion with his brother Silver, so they will give Wagner a week to consider their offer. Roldan tells Konnan that Wagner is with AAA.

2) Hair vs. Hair Match - Seconds' Hair on the line.
Vampiro (w/Joaquin Roldan) vs. Konnan (w/Arturo Rivera)

Prematch Comments: Roldan gets in the mic, to say that Konnan cheated last time he put the company on the line, ans he wishes a fair match this time. Rivera tells Roldan, that he has been disrespecting his boss Konnan, and Roldan will pay for that, when he is sent to the hospital again. Vampiro makes his entrance, but so does Konnan, with the ultimate item to earn a great deal of cheap heat from the crowd" A flag of Club America above his head (Club America is the most hated soccer team in Guadalajara). Konnan says he is the general manager, so he does whatever he wants. This leads to the arrival of the Hart Foundation to be in Konnan's corner. Vampiro simplies replies by saying he will destroy Konnan.

-Only Fall: The Harts immediately attack Vampiro, making this a 3 on 1 Handicap match. Konnan makes several pinning attempts, but Vampiro keeps kicking out of everything. Vampiro makes the comeback with hard strikes on the Harts, but the disadvantage is too much for Vampiro to handle. Vampiro makes another comeback, after Evans accidentally kicks Teddy. Vapiro does a Double Chokeslam on the harts, until Rivera hits him with a chair. Waltman tries to enter the match as a referee, but the Harts attack him. The referee refuses to count for Vampiro, and the Harts attack Vampiro again. This brings out MARCO CORLEONE, who destroys the Harts with left-hook punches, and the Suicide Crossbody. Roldan attacks Rivera, and and puts him across Konnan, the referee refuses to make the three count, but Waltman forcs him to make it.

Winner: Vampiro

-Aftermath: Roldan simply says he keeps his promises. Roldan also promises that when he regains his job, the referee will be the first one to be fired. Konnan says they needed help of outside interference, to beat the Legion. Since Konnan lost, he wants to be shaved. Rivera is willing to get shaved to please his boss Konnan. Roldan tells Konnan he has many aces under his sleeve, and Corleone is the first of many. Arturo Rivera is shaved in the middle of the ring. Backstage, Waltman claims he persoanlly brought Corleone just to thelp the company battle Konnan. Corleone simply doesn't like the way the legion works things out, and that's why he accepted to join the cause of Roldan.

3) RdR Tournament - Finals
Latin Lover vs. Silver King vs. Electroshock vs. La Parka

-Only Fall: Silver immediately attacks Parka, and concentrates in his forehead. Parka makes the comeback and uses the same tactic of Silver. Parka tosses Silver out of the ring, and latin tags himself in. Electro also joins the battle and goes after Latin. Silver brings out a table and sets it at ringside. Parka hits a suicide dive on Silver, while Electro battles Latin inside the ring. Silver fouls Parka, and electro helps Silver out. Silver hits an insane Tombstone Piledriver on Parka through the table. This move has KOd Parka, and the referee disqualifies Silver for using the forbidden move in Lucha. Electro has suddenly turned face, and stops Silver from another assault on the unconscious Parka. Medical staff carry Parka out on a stretcher, and Silver is kicked out of the ring. This leaves Electro and Latin to battle out.

Electro and Latin trade hard blows, until Kenzo arrives to help, and so does Elegido and SuperFly. Electro grabs the mic, and tells Kenzo he doesn't want any help, even though he is part of the Legion. Electro wants to win or lose alone, to a great wrestler. Latin recognizes Electro's act and wishes that only the best wins the match. Several pinning attempts by both man, only for two counts. Electro locks the Fujiwara Armbar, but Latin reaches the rope. Electro goes for the STF, but Latin refuses to submit and reaches the rope again. Superkicks by Latin, followed by a Pescado to take out Electro. Back in the ring, Latin locks the Sharpshooter on Electro, but he also reaches the bottom rope. Latin does La Casita, but Electro kicks out! Crossbody by Latin, but Electro reverses it, and latin kicks out too. Electro locks El Cristo and Latin finally submits.

Winner: Electroshock

-Aftermath: Joaquin Roldan enters the ring to hand Electro the sword that makes him Rey de Reyes (King of Kings). Latin says he lost, but he is proud of losing to a great wrestler like Electroshock. Roldan also recognizes the clean victory of Electro, and hands him the sword. Electro can barely talk, but he thanks the crowd, despite the fact that he is part of a heel stable. And the crowd cheers for him.

FINAL COMMENTS: Overall, a good show. I like how the company dedicated nearly one third of this show to remember Abismo Negro. All the video packages were nicely done, and this simply proves that Abismo was a true icon to the company. Rest in Peace, Abismo Negro.

Last week, I talked about the arrval of Dr. Wagner Jr., but it is now time to talks about the last two additions:

-Marco Corleone jumping from CMLL to AAA was a surprise to me. I don't know if its good or bad. I really liked seeing him as a performer in CMLL, but looks like he got tired of waiting for a title shot in that company. CMLL is not known for centering itself around one title, when they have like 10 titles over there. If Marco is looking to become heavyweight champion and get himself into crappy storylines, then AAA is the right place for him. Glad to see him in this show, but sad for the decision he took. That's my view.
-Juventud Guerrera also made his return, but I can already tell you this was a bad decision. I hate to spoil this, but his arrival already brought a bad backstage confrontation, and he's no longer part of the company. I really don't know the details very well, but he had a problem with Konnan and Jack Evans, that lead to his departure from AAA.

The wrestling observer is an idiot and knows nothing about lucha. Marco left CMLL because the place is not good at all. I wish the mexico feed was working today so I can watch AAA on televisa.

AAA on Galavision

Summary of last week's show. In the Cruiserweight Tournament, Nicho eliminated Joe Lider, and Jack Evans eliminated his partner Teddy Hart. Corleone made another impressive performance, by teaming with Elegido. Parka and Silver King battled in a vicious street fight. The Legion scored a victory over Mesias and the AAArmy, but Corleone made the save. For this show, Dr. Wagner Jr. mas his official debut by teaming with Mesias. Another classic AAA vs. Legion match, and two more matches of the Cruiserweight Tournament.

1) Fabi Apache & Mary Apache (w/Aerostar) vs. Cinthia Moreno & La Diabolica (w/Billy Boy)

-Only Fall: Diabolica and Favi kick off with hard strikes and takedowns. The heels suddenly start the double team attack on the tecnicas, and Billy aids them from ringside. The Apache sisters mkae the comeback with a Crossbody and a double clothesline. The sisters try the double team, but Billy pulls Fabi outside the ring. Cinthia tries a Silla on Mary, but she counters it into a Powerbomb to the crowd. Fabi tries to pin Diabolica, but she is kicked by Billy. Aerostar tosses Billy outside the ring, and connects with the Drowsy Dive. Facebuster by Diabolica, but Fabi kicks out. Fabi gets Diabolica into the Dragon Suplex for the pinfall.

Winners: Fabi Apache & Mary Apache

-Aftermath: Aerostar kisses Fabi, but she replies with a hard slap and leaves with her sister. Backstage, Fly and Laredo make fun of Aerostar in a good way, but Aerostar says it worth to get a kiss and a slap.

*In-Ring Segment: Konnan for the millionth time in the ring with mic in hand. He sends a message to Corleone, claiming it was his fault that Rivera lost his hair. Konnan already has the Legion set to take Corleone out. Konnan also sends a message to Wagnermania, and says he ignored his invitation. Konnan booked Wagner in a match, to see in which side is Wagner. Konnan also assures Jack Evans will win the Cruiserweight Tournament. Now, Konnan addresses a little metrosexual guy called Juventud Guerrera, who claims he was humilliated backstage. Konnan tells Juvi that some problems must be solved inside a ring, and not by crying to the press. Konnan calls out Juvi, and wants to settle the score with such a coward. The music of Juvi hits, but Joe Lider (dressed as Juvi), comes with Evans (dressed as Lizzy Valentine). "Juvi" simply makes fun of himself, claiming he's not a girl, for real. Konnan simply closes by claiming the Legion is the best. (Bad Segment, but Jack looked hillarious).

*Noti AAA:
-During this show, the company paid a tribute to Abismo Negro. (This was the first show where everyone had knowledge of Abismo's passing).
-Review of the Cruiserwegiht Tournament, where Nicho El Millonario and Jack Evans advanced to Round 2.

*Pretaped Segment: Scoria says he doesn't care if he has to face Alan Stone, becuase he will kick him hard. Scoria has seen the light, and it will guide him to victory. Alan says he must win, because the title will be very soon in his waist. The participants are very good, but Alan claims he's better, and he will prove it in the tournament.

2) Cruiserweight Tournament - Round 1 (Match #3)
Alan Stone vs. Dark Scoria

-Only Fall: Both men start off with technical holds, but switch to hard strikes. Corkscrew Moonsault by Scoria, but Alan kicks out. Huge kick by Scoria to the head of Alan, but he kicks out again. Scoria goes for another Corkscrew Moonsault, but Alan catches him in mid-air with a Double Knee attack for the pin. Too short.

Winner: Alan Stone

*Pretaped Segment: Crazy Boy claims he will move on the next round becuase he is the future champion. He will do it in the name of AAA, the MPs, and himself. Tiger also says he will move on, and he doesn't care who he faces on the road, he'll represent Tijuana with pride. Tiger bows to prove it tonight.

3) Cruiserweight Tournament - Round 1 (Match #4)
Extreme Tiger vs. Crazy Boy

-Only Fall: Both men attempt a technical match, but they switch to fast paced maneuvers. Tons of near falls by both men, who use quick pinning maneuvers. Tiger uses many springboard kicks to attack Crazy. Gordbuster by Crazy, but Tiger kicks out at two. Tiger hits a Sprinboard Legdrop on Crazy's sensible zone, but Crazy kicks out again. Crazy lands outside, and Tiger hits a Tornillo to take him out. Elevated Neckbreaker by Tiger, but only for a two count. Crazy catches Tiger with a Cutter, but Tiger still kicks out. Crazy brings chairs to the ring, and tries his Chair Moonsault, but Tiger dodges. Tiger puts the chairs over Crazy, and hits a botched 450 Splash to pin Crazy.

Winner: Extreme Tiger

*Pretaped Segment: Looks like there are no more problems in the Hart Foundation,as both men apologize to each other. Both say they will go back to their tag team alliance. They also talk about Zorro getting professional help. Teddy suggest to take advantage of the problems inside the Legion, and go with the strongest.

4) Electroshock, Teddy Hart & Jack Evans vs. Laredo Kid, Superfly & Ultimo Gladiador

-Only Fall: This match was clearly set to make Teddy and Evans turn on each other, as both men argue throughout the entire match. The tecnicos take advavntage of the confusion, but Electroshock puts things under control with powehouse maneuvers. Both Harts fight again, but Electro calms them down. The heels get the triple team attack working fine, but the problems with the Harts complicate things again. The Harts attack each other, and Gladiador uses a Piledriver to incapacitate Teddy. Electro is taken down with multiple kicks by everyone. The Harts return to action, but they attack each other again. Teddy tosses Evans out of the ring, but he lands on Gladiador. Fly uses his Cartwheel Moonsault, and Teddy hits his signature Moonsault, but his foot hits the barricade. In the ring, Electro makes Laredo submit to El Cristo.

Winners: Electroshock, Teddy Hart & Jack Evans

*Pretaped Segment: Marco Corleone cuts a promo, saying he already knows waht Konnan and the others have in store for him. Corleone says he's ready at any time to face the Legion. Because he is simply, the best, the most athletic, and the most handsome wrestler in the world. Another video plays, and this one hypes the feud between Silver and Parka. Nothing new.

5) La Parka, Marco Corleone & El Elegido vs. Silver King, Dark Ozz & Dark Cuervo

-Only Fall: Typical six-man tag match between the AAArmy and the Legion, with the exception of the constant brawls of Parka and Silver, and Corleone refreshes this only a little. Tecnicos start with good momentum, specially with Corleone's big time moves. Heels immediately start the triple team attack, and Silver goes after Parka's mask again. Tecnicos make the comeback, and Elegido hits a suicide dive on Cuervo. Ozz conects with his Corkscrew Dive on Elegido, and Corleone finishes the job by taking the heels with the Suicide Crossbody. In the ring, Elegido pins Ozz with a Powerbomb, but Ozz wasn;t the captain. Cuervo makes Elegido submit to the Crippler Crossface. Corleone pins Cuervo with the Exploding Clothesline, while Parka and Silver brawl.

Winners: La Parka, Marco Corleone & El Elegido

*Pretaped Segment: Nicho is extremely pissed, because he's tired of taking orders from the Cuban. Lider says they must continue to do their job, because they are getting paid. Nicho says he doesn't want to be trated like the rest of the Legion, and he's very sick of this. Lider suiggest to complete their next task. A video plays, and this one hypes the arrival of Wagner to the company. Wagner says his title has more value, since the likes of Hogan, Andre and Canek held it before. Mesias claims he won't allow Wagner to make rules in his world. Wagner is going after Mesias' belt to prove why he is the real champion.

6) Mesias & Dr. Wagner Jr. vs. Hermandad Extrema (Joe Lider & Nicho El Millonario)

-Only Fall: The heels quickly ambush the tecnicos. Mesias makes the comeback with a double clothesline. Mesias dominates the heels by using powerhouse maneuvers. Wagner tags in, and he delivers hard strikes on Nicho. Wagner's momentum slows down when Nicho gives him a Reverse DDT. Lider gets inside, but he also receives a dose of Wagnermania. Nichi brings in a chair, which leads to the double team attack. Lider and Wagner battle in the scaffolding tower, and Nicho punishes Mesias with a chair. Mesias makes another comeback with clotheslines. Both Mesias and Nicho land outside. wagner capitalizes to pin Lider with the Wagner Driver.

Winners: Mesias & Dr. Wagner Jr.

-Aftermath: Wagner talks to his wagnermaniacs, and makes fun of Mesias' bleeding mouth. Wagner says if Mesias bleeds because of the Hermandad, then if he faces Wagner, he'll get killed. Wagner tells Mesias that IN MY HOUSE, AND WITH MY PEOPLE, YOU MUST RESPECT ME!!!!!! This led to huge Wagner chants. Mesias welcomes Wagner to his world, and says his mouth is bleeding, because Mesias puts his body on the line for the Mexican crowd. Mesias tells Wagner he's not on the circuit nor CMLL, he is on AAA, on Mesias' land. Mesias tells Wagner WHETHER HE LIKES OR NOT, Mesias is the champion, and challenging him will be a nightmare. Wagner says he appreciate good foreigners, but none of them makes the rules in his country. Wagner now wants Mesias' belt and hair, and Mesias also wants Wagner's mask. Wagner says he'll take the belt from Mesias in five minutes, but Konnan interrupts the segment. Konnan sees that Wagner still has hope of joining the Legion, and he'll make Wagner a better offer. Konnan also claims that he is the one that makes the rules, and Konnan decides who makes title challenges. Konnan says he would rather see any Legion member challenge Mesias, instead of giving Wagner a shot.

Thanks to Chris 2 M for posting the AAA Galavision report. I will try to post all the latest news tomorrow but am finding my time for this to be very limited as of late which is another reason why I haven't posted. I apologize to anyone for not doing so in a long time and will try to do my best to keep up as soon as I get some free time. Sorry about that!

The wrestling observer is an idiot and knows nothing about lucha. Marco left CMLL because the place is not good at all. I wish the mexico feed was working today so I can watch AAA on televisa.

I think he does a decent job and not everyone's opinion is going to be the same. At least there is someone who is willing to write up these reports even though we may not agree with they're view lol. That was one of the reasons I started this thread so that the people that watched Lucha could discuss it or vent about it.

I like CMLL because to me it stays a little more true to the traditional Lucha style and rules. Whereas AAA is more like WWE lite as of late. I finally got ahold of some AAA mags and it was like I was reading a WWE mag in spanish lol. I was wondering when WWE got their mags in spanish ^_^. But I guess there is only so much you can do with a wrestling mag.

But feel free to come here and vent about Lucha or if you don't agree with some of the things I post then post away and let it be known how ya feel.

You like seeing 3 falls in 10 minutes matches or matches chopped in half on CMLL programming? I watch the main CMLL show every week and it's terrible. At least AAA give the matches time to adjust. The AAA cruiserweight tournament has been better than 95% of anything CMLL done this year. You can't even remember CMLL best matches this year. All I can remember is the Negro vs. Mistico match which was kind of boring.

Santo returns to AAA after 14 years from reports out of AAA tv tapings. AAA is looking stronger than ever.

Cruiserweight tournament matches have been extremely fun to the point even the WO reporter can't deny. Evans vs. Hart,Koslov vs. Romero, etc.

Mesias vs. Chessman cage match was AWESOME.

Marco,Koslov and Romero jump from CMLL to AAA.

Wagner join AAA

and now freakin Hijo Del Santo returns to AAA.

Really, am expecting Cibernetico to return and Perro as well. If Perro Jr returns to AAA it's a wrap. CMLL have a lot of catching up to do.
