Lillian Garcia vs. Todd Grisham

OK, seriously, where the hell has Lillian been? The last two weeks of Raw being "treated" to the ring announcing of Todd Grisham has completely sucked. No wonder the criowd has like zero reaction to the wrestlers, Todd grisham is horrible when he announces them! I don't know if she is working on her album or what, but the girl needs to come back!! Not to mention, I'd much rather look at her than that poindexter lookin fuck-stain! Who do you all think is the better announcer..out of these two?

Lillian is definitely the better announcer. I thought she broke her leg or injured her self on a ski trip? That was the situation as far as I'm aware, although I could be mixing her up with someone else.

Perhaps she's just having a break. She might not wrestle but she's still on the road all the time. Even if she isn't pysically active I imagine travelling all over the world get's tiring. She also doesn't get ''injury'' breaks like wrestlers do. Apart from if Charlie Haas knock's her off the ring. I heard she's recording an album as well so maybe that could be another reason.

I don't really care. I've hated ring announcers since Michale Buffer used to take 10 minutes to say Sting.

Lillian is by far my favorite announcer, though that would probably have alot more to do with the fact that I find her ridiculiously attractive and about 3000 times hotter then all of the divas combines. Just me maybe.

Grisham....god he pisses me off. If this is the next announcer, somebody call back Paul Heyman or Jonathon Coachman, I'd rather listen to those two idiots terrible commentary then listen to Grisham struggle through a match.

On March 17, 2007, Garcia twisted her knee in heavy snow while skiing in Killington, Vermont, incurring a torn anterior cruciate ligament. She underwent surgery on her knee on April 5, 2007 in New York, New York under Dr. Amin Tehrany.

I assume she is having time off for that, to be honest. That road schedule might be a bit hectic for a recovering knee-op.

Garcia has been working on a debut solo album with producers George Noriega and Tim Mitchell since 2005. In January 2006, she recorded a duet with Latin pop singer Jon Secada. [4]

No comparison, Lillian can screw up peoples names all she wants, but the eye candy is so good to look at. Grisham trying to sound like a big boy is funny as hell. Oh, listen to me, I have a deep voice now. The guy sounds like a tool. Lillian's voice is just awesome. Hopefully this is just break time for Lillian.

Grisham shouldn't be the next booth guy, but i'm getting that sick feeling he is getting groomed for Smackdown? once JR moves on and MC takes over Raw.

Todd Grisham is awful in announcing. It is like he is trying too hard to be a proper In-Ring announcer but he completely sucks! Lillian is obviously in the U.S. and never went on the European Tour so they got Grisham to do the In-Ring announcing in her absence. This Monday sweet ol' Lillian should be back to her duty as a great In-Ring announcer.

well you guys need to cut todd a break it takes training to announce like lillian or justin roberts todd is just filling in untill lillian gets back. i suspect that lillian will be back at backlash. Its very draining to have surgery so to i can see why she would not want to get on a plane fly half way around the world and go from country to country for 2 weeks.

It's getting painfully obvious that Raw needs Lillian Garcia. Todd Grisham is the definition of awful with his announcing 'skills' and it is honestly painful listening to him try and assume a state of thinking that he is any good in the job. I would much prefer someone like Justin Roberts to do the announcing as he is far better than Tony Chimel but I guess we are stuck with Grisham for the time being. I have heard all sorts of stories regarding Lillian's absence and believe that she is suffering from an injury and is also writing a new singing album. Lillian can sing and she has a good announcing voice. Todd Grisham has an awful 'announcing voice' and it is horrendous to think of him singing. I know who I want doing the announcing on Raw. Come back Lillian, please, to save us all from Todd Grisham's voice. Then again, I've heard Maria do announcing before, so maybe Grisham isn't so bad, but still, Garcia is a great announcer and is being missed.

Without a doubt Lillian is light years ahead of Grisham in terms of announcing... perhaps while she is out Mr. Kennedy could just announce everyone?

Personally I never really found Lilian attractive, to be completely honest with all of you, however she is the best WWE has in terms of vocal talent to fill the ring announcer role, there's no doubt about that.

Chimmel's alright, but the guy from ECW has no vocal range, and Grisham is... well Grisham is special. So you need Lilian, and it obviously helps ratings when Lashley pulls of her skirt. I'm assuming she's just away on vacation or decided to skip the Euro trip.

Yeah the guy from ECW is even worse than Grisham, you can barely hear his voice when he is annoucing people. Im just glad Lillian is still young so she will stay on for longer, and if WWE are planning on making Grisham a commontator that would really suck.

So heres the case, Lilian injured her knee while skiing. she was suppose to have surgery the week of WM 23 but decided to hold of so she could announce at WM 23. she had the surgery and all went well. she is currently in rehab right now and will be back before we know it. As far as the person who asked about The Fink. The Fink is still employed by the WWE he works backstage and is the lead person in charge for all the travel (ie. hotels, planes, renta cars)

I can't stand any of the announcers these days in the WWE. I miss Finkel so much it hurts. He was the patented voice of the company for so long and these others are just weak by comparison, if you ask me. Every other announcer who's tried to fill his slot in the WWE is so goddamn anti-climactic when they announce people that I feel like hammer-fisting the mute button on my remote. The only other guy I liked announcing-wise was David Penzer from WCW/TNA. He should be the main event guy in TNA, instead they have Borash doing it. Bleh. You'd figure that with all of their resources, they could find better announcing talent to fill the top slots in either company. No such luck, though.

I miss Lilian, but I find it hilarious listening to Todd. I actually didn't know who was doing it a few weeks ago, and I forgot Lilian got injured, so I'd be watching RAW and saying "Who the hell is this macho sounding guy doing the intros?" Then I noticed it was lil old todd, and I pretty muched laughed my way through the Murdock Hardy match to the point that I actually missed the blotched Canadian Destroyer he did, I heard about it afterwards and kicked myself for it.

By the way, what the hell ever happened to Josh Matthews?!?! I always saw that guy as the next Coackmen, only less annoying in the ring! He had such potential to be cool!

Todd seems to be out there not knowing how the hell to announce and seems like he is having fun. The way he announces the wrestler seems unprofessional imo. Lillian Garcia is 10x's better. They need to get back Howard Finkel. Arguably the best announcer period. Though I do enjoy Lillian more than Todd.

He hosted the WWE Fantasy Weekly Webcast for week 3 of season 8 of the WWE Fantasy Salary Cap game. He also filled in for an absent Todd Grisham on a summer 2006 episode of RAW. On November 19, 2006, his name was removed from the SmackDown superstar list on WWE.com.
It has been reported that Josh's recent duties are involved with the WWE 24/7video on demand cable service.
On December 13, 2006, Josh was legitimately punched in the mouth by Finlay during the Armageddon 2006 press conference, drawing blood. The incident was unplanned and Josh was reportedly very upset over the incident afterwards.
On the March 9, 2007 edition of Heat, Matthews was heard commentating alongside Jonathan Coachman substituting for Todd Grisham. On Heat that night, they claimed that Grisham was on vacation.
On April 1, 2007 Josh Matthews and Maria hosted the Wrestlemania 23 preshow on WWE.com
On the April 20 and April 27, 2007 edition's of Heat, Mathews filled in at commentary alongside Jack Korpela in the European tour due to the fact that Todd Grisham filled in for Lillian Garcia as ring announcer who has undergone surgery.

As you can see he is still employed by WWE.
