Life doesn't always work out the way you plan...

The 1-2-3 Killam

Mid-Card Championship Winner
This has been one of the most crazy emotional months of my life, in both the good and the bad. The proverbial "emotional rollercoaster" now makes plenty of sense to me. Between my grandpa dying, my childhood friend getting married, my best friends and godson preparing to move away, preparing for my own move, and the anniversary of the big break-up in my life...it's been nuts.

Two years ago I was engaged to my highschool sweetheart and best friend of many many years. Today was supposed to be the day we got married... I'm not really that broken up about it (see what I did there?), it's just...odd. Existential even.

Have any of those weird moments where you make plans for the future, and they don't end up the way you had hoped or planned, at all?

yeah, went through one a few months ago. But I like to set long term goals for myself; being bipolar I just can't do short term goals. I don't have the motivation too.

My biggest long term goal is to have my masters degree and become a licensed architect by the time I'm 30. I'll be 25 in a few months. Reasonable goal.

It was supposed to be an easy job, "Get in, grab the money, and get out as fast as you can" Was what my boss told me. Me and my brother were just two young immigrants from Russia with no jobs, no money, and no family. But maybe that's why we were the ideal candidates for this job. That way, if one of us were to meet our untimely deaths, than no-one would even care or notice, and we would just be some more bodys over at the morgue. Oh how stupid we were. We quickly accepted the job, Hell we had only been in this country for 3 months, and we blindly took this job like my mother takes hallucinogens. The easy part was getting the attire, we could just go to our local drugstore. But the hard part was getting the most vital asset to our job....the guns. "The Boss"(Which is all he would call himself) Gave us directions to a weapon drop off near the Brooklyn Bridge, as you would of guessed two young Russian immigrant hotshots who couldn't even name the current president could barely even function an assault rifle. So there we were, two young, dumb, broke Russian immigrants who were about to pull off the biggest heist in American history for some dumb Italian schmuck. That's right, we were going to rob Rite-Aid.

As you could of concluded, we knew absolutely nothing about how to rob a place, especially not fully protected place like Rite-Aid, so we studied. We studied the work habits of the workers, we got to know their personalitys and based on that we knew when the best time to stage our heist would be. We concluded that Kalil, the token worker that Rite-Aid hired to make themselves look good, would be the weakest link(No, not because he's black), Kalils shift was from 12 AM to 3 AM, so we decided that 1 AM would be the best time to strike. If only we knew the over-the-counter Hells(See what I did there?) waiting for us in that store.

It was time. Kalil had just taken over shift from Dani, the Puerto-Rican cashier with the rather nice backside, Hell maybe if I ever survived this mess than me and Dani could settle down somewhere nice, and I'd have all the money in the world(or at least the money in the Rite-Aid cash register). Back to business though, my brother was setting up the firecrackers in the front door, they would scare Kalils small brain(Once again, not because he's black) and let us go in and take advantage. BOOM they went off, I couldn't even see where I was but something tackled me, I opened my eyes and it was a cop, but not just any cop, my own brother. That's right, this was all a setup, even Dani was in on it, that bitch. The Italian mobster, my brother, Kalil, Dani, they were all damn cops, he'll maybe that's why I'm stuck in this hell hole.
